a fun night

A few weeks back, Mandy invited us over for their first annual Fall Cookout.  The kids dressed up for a night of fall, family fun.  We went on a hayride, made s'mores, stood by the fire, and watched Monster's Inc. outside propped up against hay bales.  Next year we'll bring more blankets, but we had a blast.

After all the candy, Stella came home and said she needed to "sort it out" :)

Actually trick-or-treating in a neighborhood (Holly's)...Stella wasn't to fond of the masks, and Sawyer only got 2 pieces of candy, but it was still fun :)

the start of halloween

A know, it's already the 2nd week of November, and I'm just now getting Halloween pictures up...did I mention I did over 400 cake pops that week....?  That probably has something to do with my tardiness.  Ok, moving on...pumpkin carving!

Stella told me what to carve...she didn't want a nose ;)

a few of the 150 eyeballs that were the reason my clothes were piled high waiting to be folded on the couch this week :)

what he loves

Since Stella has been in preschool, Sawyer and I have some time to ourselves to play and just enjoy each other...most days :) We normally find ourselves in the driveway hitting ball, or somewhere with dirt.  This is probably his most favorite thing to do...transfer dirt from one pile to another...or just getting dirty.

I love this picture of his little hand and how the light was shining on him.

the good 'ole digger that was passed down from some good friends, has kept him busy for a lot of hours, already.

I don't want to forget these mornings with my sweet Sawyer...
