I am going to apologize first for this post to being so boring. Sorry! We recently went up to Big Lake to go camping for the first time as a family. Its just one of those things its either a good experience or not so good when you camp in a new area. I was a little nervous at first not really knowing our way around. We are use to camping on Mt. Graham. Well it all started with a couple stops along the way to let our truck cool down since it kept over heating. We were traveling with my father in law and his girlfriend Susy and her daughter and fiance Chad. Well luckily Paityn was with Laura because it was so dang hot. We couldn't ride with a.c. because of our glorious truck. We kept on truckin' though. Yeah! We get up to Big Lake which is absolutely beautiful up there and the truck decides to go no more. No drive and no reverse. Lovely I know. My father in law goes and finds us a spot to camp in a site (I love being near a bathroom) they aren't to fond of camping near people but who cares right? The place had running water and flushing toilets I couldn't believe it. They pull the truck up to our spot and it sits there for a couple of days. Oh by the way it was so cool right when the truck stops going my friend Vanessa and her family pass us up there. They live near there so they were just there fishing for the day. It was nice to see her. Needless to say the trip was fun truck problems and all. Chris' uncle came up on Friday and brought us a car dolly and his dad pulled it home. I have to say I was on pins and needles the whole way pulling that big o' thing through the mountains. We saw a lot of animals while we were there that we normally don't see camping at Mt. Graham.
This X was on the side of the road on one of our stops to give the truck a breather. So X marks the spot. HA HA HA
Paityn and Chris attempting to fish. It was so windy there every day. Paityn didn't believe us when we said its not good weather to fish so Chris needed to show her. We were down there for about 2.5 seconds.
Laura enjoying a good ol' story by Paityn around the campfire.

There were actually 7 deer on the side of the road from our camp when went cruising. They didn't get spooked or anything we just sat and watched. They are so beautiful!
Watermelon puts a smile on P's face.

Here we are heading home. Poor ol' blue!
I almost forgot to mention we were a little passed BlackJack and off to the left I said "Oh look a bear!" "Wait is it fake?" I was so confused I thought it was a statue it was so still. We pull over to get pictures and right as we get out a group of motorcycles drive by and it runs off. So being the smart women Susy and I are we go running down the road hoping that it was just on the other side of the hill and sure enough it started running across the street. I got a picture but its very distant. It was a pretty little bear. I think it was the first one I've seen besides the zoo. I will try to zoom into it and post it another time.
