Here are monthly highlights from our 2018 year:
January -
we had an epic skiing trip to Sun Valley so much so it is being
repeated next year hopefully with the same wonderful outcome and the
addition of Marcus on skis this time around
February - Steve finished the basement. . . well, almost. There are still a
few little projects to complete down there but it has been wonderful for
the girls to have their own space again and to have a little extra
space for house guests and the home theater for things like summer movie club
March - movies, lego derby, more skiing and a trip to Antelope Island with my parents who had never been
April -
more skiing, snuggles, and spring activities begin like soccer and
softball. Lila received an award for her Chinese calligraphy project
submitted to the Salt Lake library
May - Ellie graduated from Elementary school and was accepted to Weber State Prep for a 7 week summer school program which she enjoyed. She also made the All-Star softball team
again and really enjoyed that experience
June - Lila
made a competitive dance team along with one of her dear friends which
we are grateful to have someone to share this experience with and of
course carpool
July - we made several trips to Idaho this summer to water ski and just enjoy a little more of the country life with the kids
August - big Moore family get together at Timber Moose lodge in Heber Valley, all of Steve's siblings and their families came
September -
getting back into the swing of school and a little learning curve for
our new jr high student that involved homework and tech mishaps but she
got it figured out
October -
concerts, Ellie is taking orchestra and choir and had a concert for
each in October which was fun to attend. Steve also took the girls down
to see the BYU spectacular with his niece Lexi
November - lots & lots of birthdays (even a big 4-0 birthday) and a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family and fun
December - we have been memorizing The Living Christ
as a family and it has been a wonderful way for us to draw closer to
our Savior and remember the gift His life is in our lives. "He taught
the truths of eternity, the reality of our premortal existence, the
purpose of our life on earth, and the potential for the sons and
daughters of God in the life to come. . .He is the light, the life, and
the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in
this life and eternal life in the world to come. God be thanked for the
matchless gift of His divine Son." We are truly grateful for our
knowledge of the Savior and the opportunity that we have to celebrate
His life and refocus our lives as we strive to be more like Him.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Steve, Britney, Ellie, Lila, Andrew, & Marcus
