Preparing for Summer

Last summer we spent our first summer in Star Valley. It was a lot of fun, but we discovered that the trailer was a little small to spend a lot of time in. So we decided to look for around for a slightly larger one.

Well --- what can I say, Steve has always been an overachiever.

It is just slightly larger that we intended, and never going to fit in the barn...

Is it over kill to relax in front of the 40" TV and the simulated roaring fire?

The kitchen has a bar, table & chairs, microwave/convention oven, double door fridge along with lots of cupboards.

Bathroom's not too bad either with a nice size shower...

Ahh, now for a good night sleep, king size bed, new supper soft mattress, and a little 32" TV if you can't sleep.

Did I mention the tiny 17" TV in the outside compartment, just in case you want to sit under the awning and watch the big game or whatever floats your boat.

Okay, I agree the third TV is over-kill, but it's really beginning to look like another very restful summer in Star Valley....

Happy 40th Birthday Sherry

On Friday we held a very special celebration, Sherry's 40th birthday. After much planning by her ever thoughtful brother and sisters, we all got together to party. In memory of her lost youth, Jim and Mary put together a very thoughtful PowerPoint presentation to remind her of all of the highlights of her childhood. Of course they searched high and low to find only the most flattering pictures that captured her true spirit.

Here is our Birthday Girl in all her glory...

You can't have a good party without lots of food.

Here are the girls reciting the perfect poem composed for one of their favorite Aunts and a few of those who gathered to pay their respect to her lost youth.

AND the highlight of the night, the very humorous PowerPoint presentation put together by a very loving brother and sister.
Note to Jim: You better tread lightly and do many favors for your sister, remember you turn 40 next. I can hardly wait...

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was wonderful, we had an intimate dinner for 32 people counting the babies. So the kitchen was a busy place, with lots of helping hands.

The furniture we ordered didn't arrive and that turned out to be a good thing, more room for tables.
We brought the play house in and put it in the laundry room for the little kids. The older boys found the Risk game and spent their time plotting world domination.
Even the babies seemed to have a great time.
