Life...

I suck at updating. Life has been so busy. I think my life is finally going to settle down again and go back to "normal"... whatever that is. I have been spending a lot of time with my mom. We have had lots of grandma sleepovers. It has been a long road but an awesome one. I have always been close to my mom but this experience has brought us even closer. I can't say I would want to redo the last six months but I am grateful for the experience. I have realized how awesome so many people in this world are. Sure, there are crappy people out there... but there is so much good too. Sometimes the good is hard to see. I am grateful especially for how it has changed my mom. I am so happy that she can finally see how much people love and care about her. She is such an awesome person. Even through all this she is constantly being super helpful and thoughtful. That is my mom.

I am going to try and play catch up, but I think I will just commit to be better...

Steve and I went to Hawaii in April. It was awesome. We left both kids at home. That was super hard, but such a nice time with just us two. I pumped the whole time. I pumped in the plane bathroom... that was quite the experience. We went on the ziplines, whale watching, snorkeling and attempted the road to Hana. If you know me, you know I am terrified of snorkeling. I don't like the ocean. It terrifies me. I decided to not be a wuss and just do it. It was very nerve racking at first, but I actually ended up really enjoying it. The reason why I am scared of the ocean is because I am terrified of sharks. I know the chances of getting bit, but that doesn't make me less terrified. Come to find out where we went snorkeling is a serious hang out for reef sharks. Yes, I know reef sharks... but have you ever googled a picture of reef sharks? They look like small great whites. Steve was thanking his lucky stars we didn't see one or he knows I would never step foot back in the ocean. We were there on an Allstate trip that we won. They did a private concert for us. In past years it has been Bon Jovi, Keith Urban and so on. Well we were so excited to see who it would be. Guess who... Huey Lewis and the News. If you are wondering who that is, so were we. We were pretty much the only ones wondering. Everyone thought we were crazy that we didn't know who it was. I am only 24 after all. Needless to say... we were a little disappointed but we still had a blast. Here are a few pics...

Sophie is getting big. I don't like it. It is going by way too fast. Everyone told me your second goes by way faster, but I didn't know it would be this fast. She is an angel from the heavens. I can't get enough of her. She just makes me so happy. She is almost seven months. She started sitting up a couple of weeks ago. She can't roll if her life depended on it, but I am pretty sure it is all those rolls that keep her down. We love her.

Brylee is still just as sassy as ever. She is getting funnier and funnier. She comes up with the craziest things. She loves being a big sister and is a good little mommy. She keeps us laughing.

Oh yeah... we bought a house in April. We love it. We actually have some space now. It is awesome. We are finally all settled in just need to fill up these walls with decorations.

We got family pictures... much overdue. They turned out really cute. I had an old friend from college take them.

My mom's event is Saturday. We are so excited. We have over 100 baskets and some awesome live auction items. I have been losing sleep at night because I am so excited. It is going to be awesome!! Come! Thanks to all who have donated and helped.

Steve's sister Melissa had her baby. We threw her a shower at my house but we were a little late. Baby was already here... 8 days early. Melissa did it natural. She is a trooper.
Melissa three days after giving birth... looking awesome!
Yup... thats Sophia and me front and center. The two biggest ones in the pic.
These ladies prepared the food. They are awesome.
She takes after her dad, loving the mountains.

Look at those leg rolls.
Sophia started solids... this made her very happy.

Last chemo day!! Yay!
Yay for no more chemo!

Life goes by too fast

We had a visit from Grandma Cyndi the other day. I am fully aware these pajamas are cheesy, but I just couldn't resist. They looked so cute in them. Even Steve said so and he does not like stuff like this. Grandma Cyndi makes the picture look good too. She is hot even without hair. Brylee loves when Grandma Cyndi comes to visit her. Whenever she is being tired and whiny lately, we ask her what is wrong and she bursts into tears "I just want Grandma Cyndi!!"

Sophie is starting to like her too:)

Not cheesy at all...just cute. I always swore I would never do this stuff. Being a mom does crazy things to you.

Grandma Cyndi brought her a hello kitty puzzle for her and had to do it with her at least three times.

Brylee has been falling asleep in random places and random positions. I think it is because I haven't been giving her naps every day so she is just tuckered by the end of the day. This picture is precious.

Sophia is getting so big. It makes me sad. This time is going by way faster. I don't know why but life is just flying by.

See all the spit up/drool. We change her outfit at least three times a day. It is a good thing she is so cute.

She has discovered her hands. My mom always says this is her favorite thing. I never noticed it until she said that. Sophie stares at her hands like that all day. Who knew hands could be so entertaining?

Look at that chubb!! She already weighs 16 pounds. Apparently my milk is straight cream. If you look real close you can see she is about to blow out of her diaper. Another reason why we have to change her outfit multiple times a day. I need an unlimited supply of Oxi Clean. Costco's just isn't enough for me.

San Francisco/St. George

We went to St. George with some of our friends back in February. Before I get assaulted by my friends in St. George that I didn't go see... I am sorry. We were so busy and we were down there with other friends. I still love you guys. It was a lot of fun. We went to the Parade of Homes. I wasn't too impressed. We got lots of cupcakes...my favorite. We took Brylee to climb all of the red rocks and she loved it. She is definetely Steve's girl in that sense. She loves outdoor stuff. We took Amy to be our nanny. She probably didn't have too much fun but it was fun to have her there. One night we went to Mesquite. I am not a gambler, it stresses me out too much. I decided to try it and it was pretty fun. Not something I would do too often but we walked away with an extra $100.

Don't mind the low quality pictures. We lost our camera so I took my aunt's and didn't realize it was on a raw setting. They are still cute though. I later found my camera in a baby gift bag, after I bought a new one. That has Brylee written all over it.

We went to San Francisco for our good friends Ryan and Tawnya's wedding. We went out with our friends (Ryan's brother) Rory and Katie. It was a lot of fun. We left Brylee at home with Grandma Anne and Grandma Amy. Sophia was a little angel. We just love Ryan and Tawn. They are such awesome people and I am so happy that they are finally married. Now I just need them to move to Utah.
