OK - its been forever since I posted anything on here - time just ran away from me and there has been so much going on, that this gets forgotten. So, I'll gradually try to catch up. March consisted of lots of birthdays in our family. So I'll post a few pictures of some of the events. I wish we had the family all together most of the time for these things, but although we don't, we wish they were and we miss them (Jason's family and Jenny's family). So, here's March! I tried and tried to find pictures of Rachel's birthday on March 10th, but no such luck! We love her and hope she had a great birthday! She's the best daughter-in-law in the whole world!!!!! :)
The following pictures are of my birthday. I've really, really, seriously, quit counting or paying attention to my birthday, but I guess the kids and Steve still do, so thank you to them! Amy made my cake, and we just had a good time being together! (I wish Jason's family and Jenny's family could have been here too . . . maybe one of these days we'll all be together for some pictures).Jon & Amy with Matthew and Nathan, Kayla and Jordon, and Steve and I
They were all really nice to me and only put a few candles on the cake! :) Needed to leave me a little energy to eat it!
And here are two very important men in my life . . . one of my precious 6 grandsons, and my hubby whom I love so much! They are all singing to me!
And next, these pictures are of Nathan's 4th birthday on March 27, 2010
So, Nathan's birthday:I love the joy on children's faces on their birthdays! Nathan - March 27th - 4 years old!

What a darling family! (And they're mine!) How lucky am I?Doing my grandma thing! :)
And Steve, doing the grandpa thing! :)

Since Matthew thinks he has to do everything his big brother does, he had to have a turn at this too!
So, that's it for March - on to April 2010!!

Way back on Valentine's Day
I forgot to publish this post way back on Valentine's Day, so thought it would still be nice to put it up. On Valentine's Day, Steve and I went with Amy and Jon to a Ballroom Valentine's Dance. It was really fun. We enjoyed being together and dancing but enjoyed watching Amy and Jon dance even more! It was great to watch them! We did have some pictures of Steve and I, but I just didn't like them, and because I'm the publisher of this blog, I have the ability to take out whatever I want! Ha ha! So, these are the pictures of Valentine's evening.

Just a reminder to all of my children since its a Valentine's post and we're talking about love . . . . . . Remember why you fell in love and cherish every little thing that makes them the love of your life - even the things that frustrate you at times. Sometimes those are the things you miss when they aren't close. Remember the first moments, hours and days together and what attracted you to them and don't forget to embrace that and hold it close. Being partners and parents just means there is more joy (and challenge sometimes) in the journey but don't forget the little boy or the little girl beneath the surface. Don't take life so seriously that you can't have fun! We love you all and love to witness the sweet and tender moments between you that remind us what love really is! Thank you for keeping us young at heart! Happy Valentine's Day to all of my children and their wonderful spouses! We love you dearly! Every one of you makes our family the greatest treasure of our lives!
So, I thought I would remind you of all the ways you've shared that love along the way . . . . just the two of you. Happy Valentine's Day! We love you all!

February already - highlights of the past 6 months
It's hard to believe that I haven't put anything on this blog since Kayla and Jordon got married. Wow! How time flies! That was 6 months ago today! They are still happy newlyweds and the rest of the family is doing great! Since August we have had some vacations, birthdays and holidays so I'll try to catch up a little. The first event that took place was Wyatt's birthday on September 1st! We weren't able to go to Arizona to celebrate with them but really enjoyed the pictures of his 1st birthday! He is so adorable and its fun to see what a happy family they are! (And by the way, in case you didn't know, Jason and Rachel are expecting their second baby on August 28th - they'll be two years apart)! We can't wait to see what they are having, but no matter whether its a boy or girl I'm sure this baby will be so so cute! :)
Here are some of the pictures of Wyatt's 1st birthday . . .

The second 'event' that took place was Kayla and Jordon's trip to Disneyland with his family which was also in September. They had a great time! It was Kayla's first experience at Disneyland and she loved it so I thought I would post a few of those pictures on here too.

On October 9th Jon had a birthday and on November 7th Jordon had a birthday. I didn't get pictures (so sad . . . . since I love pictures so much)! But we celebrated with them and loved it! The next event was Tyler's 3rd birthday on October 24th - they are in Idaho Falls and we didn't get to go there either but I loved these pictures! Jenny gave him a 'Halloween' theme party.

So the next event was Halloween - here are the pictures of our family on Halloween. It was so much fun to see all of the costumes! They were all great! (I didn't used to like Halloween that much but now I'm having tons of fun seeing all the 'grown-ups' dress up with their kids and spouses. Its great)!
Here are Jenny's boys - Braden was 'Hulk' for school and 'Walle' for trick-or-treating on Halloween. Tyler was 'Flash' from the Incredibles.

Here is Amy's family: She was a witch, Jon was a 'Knight', Nathan was a Dinosaur and Matthew a Lion. Darling family!

Jason and Rachel's family costumes were so fun to see because they used the same theme for all of them. And the fact that Wyatt was so little and still fit the part! It was adorable! Jason was Batman; Rachel, Batwoman; and Wyatt was Robin! So Batman and Robin (and Batman's wife! :) ! They all look so good in their costumes!!!! SO CUTE!!

Kayla and Jordon dressed up as zombie monks and it was fun because they matched. Here are a few pictures of them - and one with Amy's youngest, Matthew.

Next came Thanksgiving - we celebrated about 10 days early with all of the family that could be here. We were only missing Jason's family but decided it was worth the sacrifice so we could have them here with us for Christmas. Grandma Warren and Fred came too. We didn't have much in the way of pictures, but Jenny and Kayla decorated the table which looked beautiful and Amy did a lot to help me with dinner (so we weren't in any pictures). . . . :) but it was a nice dinner and we really enjoyed sharing it with everyone that could be with us.

On the actual Thanksgiving Day all of our children spent the day with their spouse's families and Steve and I went to dinner at Little America. It was beautiful. He bought me a bracelet and a CD of piano music that we heard live. The pianist was amazing so he bought me the CD. It was a fun day! Just a really fun 'date' together!

The next event of the season was Matthew's 1st birthday on December 14th. The following are some pictures of the day. He was cute and we enjoyed watching him dig into the cake and open gifts.

This is a cute picture of Kayla and Jordon when they went with Jordon's family to find the 'perfect Christmas tree'. As you all know, there's no such thing as a perfect tree but they took one home and had lots of fun picking out their first tree as a married couple! (This is Jordon's grandparents, his brotherBrady, and Kayla and Jordon)
Jason, Rachel & Wyatt came for Christmas so that was a lot of fun to have them here and to get to know our darling little grandson a little better. It's so hard to not be able to be closer to them and to create a closer relationship with a grandchild. We hope someday we can live a little closer but for now we just have to hang on to every precious moment we can with him and enjoy the love and companionship of Jason and Rachel when we have a chance to get together. Jason and Rachel had to leave to go home on Christmas morning. It was sad but Kayla and Jordon took us to the movie on Christmas Day to see Sherlock Holmes. It was a good movie and we really enjoyed the day. Afterwards we went to their house to visit for a little bit. We also went to see Amy & Jon's on Christmas morning to see what Santa Claus brought to the boys.

These pictures were taken at the movie theater - went to see Sherlock Holmes

This was the end of the day on Christmas at Kayla and Jordon's apartment.

So I guess that's it! Wow! Way too much to catch up on, but it was fun to reminisc while I did it! I'll try to be a little better about keeping up from now on.
