2011 | An amazing year

2011 was an amazing year. Here is a look at our 2011.

January -
Stew and I celebrated my 31st birthday and went down to Cape Coral to see his family for a long weekend.

Me in Cape Coral - 27 weeks.

Us in Naples, FL

In February, Stew and I went to Las Vegas for a work trip. We had a great time, but the flight was horrible and I thought I was going to die a slow death from back cramps.

Us in Vegas - last time I could fly.

More in February - our maternity photo shoot.

March came up quick - we had our couples shower...

And then there was April. I knew I'd have an Easter baby - I just had the feeling. My due date was April 28th. IV arrived on the 24th - Easter Sunday.

The belly in April:

And then he arrived...just as I knew he would. Perfection! But the entire day was just perfect - amazing - and unforgettable.

The moment I met my sweet boy.

May - well that was a blur.

June we were able get out to a few parties and get our boy in my parents pool!

July we attending our friends wedding - great wedding, beautiful as all are, but let me tell you - a nursing Mom in a tight dress doesn't result in good pictures - some would disagree. I thought I was going to pop.

August was another great month. Stew and I spent a lot of time at my parents pool, attending some Red Sox games and took IV to Old Home Day (as seen here)

In September, we attended a few more parties and were gearing up for the Fall season.

October came fast, as did November and December. But in October we attended another wedding - this time I had my ta-ta's under control in this adorable dress (from Target).

And what's October without going to the pumpkin patch...

November brought the kick off of the Holiday season - Thanksgiving was amazing with our families.

And finally, December! Probably my most memorable Holiday. It was amazing to wake up in the morning with our sweet boy. I mean, look at that smile.

So, I close this last blog post of 2011 wishing you all a very happy New Year. I hope that I can continue to meet new bloggers and follow along with your life journeys. It's been one hell of year for a lot of us and I'm glad I could be part of yours. Thank you for following our life story! See you in 2012.

Stuck like glue

These two seem to be stuck like glue lately. Adorable.

Things you may not know...

  • I have a few New Years resolutions for 2012. One is to budget our money better...or just to budget period. I spend way too much.
  • When I was in grammar school someone called me SNOSILLA. That was my first name and last name initial backwards....ALLISON S. Kids are strange.
  • I'm getting nervous for our trip to New Orleans. I know that I'm going to have trouble leaving IV for 4 days.
  • I'll be 32 in 23 days!
  • I have a hard time watching home videos of IV, I cry that he's growing so fast.
  • We plan to have one more baby - and I'd love a girl.
  • I took down our Christmas tree and all decorations in 2 hours - by myself. IV watched me the whole time.
  • I went shopping a few times without IV, every time I saw a baby I got the urge to say "I have a baby too"...such a strange feeling.
  • My favorite color is teal. Teal anything.
  • We were supposed to go to Aruba this winter - but the tickets out of Boston are over $4000! Screw you JetBlue.
  • I think Ron Paul puts subliminal messages for babies in his political ads.
  • My 8 month old finally has a tooth...well, half a tooth right now.
  • We are going to the New England Patriots game on New Years day - sans baby.
  • IV crawls backwards...it's too cute.
  • I use to see my Mom every day when I worked one block over from her...I only see her once a week now. That makes me very sad.
  • I have about 10 half full water glasses on my night stand. I'm so bad about bringing them down to the sink.
  • I can't wait for the new Bachelor.
  • I am so in love with our son - but I think you knew that by now.

Swag Brag

I mentioned that I was spoiled by EVERYONE this year...but I wanted to share what the Hubs got me.

On GMA this morning, they actually did a piece on people "Vlogging" what they got for Christmas...called SWAG BRAG.

So here is my swag - minus the brag. Hehehehe

Can't wait to hear what you all got!

8 months and Christmas

IV turned 8 months old on Christmas Eve. He is 20lbs, has one tooth (it's about half way through), loves to eat and I haven't found anything that he WON'T eat. We had to lower his crib, he is moving all over the place, and is still sleeping like a champ. His normal night is 7:15p-7:00a. He eats solids 2-3 times a day plus snacks and still has 4 bottles a day. He is the sweetest boy I have ever met - bias, I know. But he's the love of our life.

This Christmas was our BEST Christmas EVER. Waking up in the morning with IV and seeing the joy on his face was unreal. I understand that he doesn't "get it" yet, but boy - he knew something was going on.

And spending the entire day with my family was just he icing on the cake. We went to my parents around 11 on Christmas and never left until 7pm. My sister and her Husband were there along with my parents. We enjoyed a HUGE prime rib roast and then sat around playing with IV and talking. It was perfect. My sister and parents SPOILED IV! He's such a lucky boy.

Speaking of spoiled. My husband more than spoiled me this year - again, lucky.

My wish is for him to ALWAYS be this happy.

Weekend in the Moutains

Stew and I are back from our mini vacation in the White Mountains. It was so relaxing and IV did great. He slept in his pack and play like a champ. I was worried that he wouldn't sleep well or take naps like he does at home, but he proved me wrong. He never skipped a beat. He was amazing on the car ride, at dinner and we even went swimming at the indoor pool.

During the Summer, IV loved my parents pool. It's been month since then and he STILL loved the pool.

I could cry happy tears - it was such an amazing weekend.

Ok...now for a few pictures.

The day before we left - IV helping me pack. Or I guess, I packed - he sat there and looked cute.

Amazing weekend. I didn't want it to end. Thank you Hubs!
