No fancy title!

Just a quick update to show my latest ornament finish. It's Christmas Memory Tree by Ursula Michael's Designs from the 1998 JCS ornament edition. I changed the date & I'm not really happy with the "2" but too bad!

I want to thank those of you who have left comments. I love reading them & also leaving them on other's blogs! So to answer a couple of questions I've had: Kath..Toy Gatherer will be hanging year round. He's too big to ever find a storage place for!!! LOL. Melissa, the fabric for Mermaid of the Pearls is by R&R & it's 32ct Tidewater Blue. I had a fat quarter of the fabric in my stash & knew it would be fantastic. I really wanted her on a darkish fabric - I'd only ever seen her done on light fabric - so that had to be my choice. Was a little expensive as I had to buy it specially but IMO, it's worth every cent.

Autumn has finally arrived

Even though we had a hot day yesterday, autumn has arrived here in Sydney. The leaves on our tree in the backyard have just changed overnight to an amazing shade of gold - DMC 725 in fact! It's raining & I'm ready to snuggle down for some long weekend stitching. Herb Gatherer awaits!

I got Toy Gatherer back from the framer today & it looks great. The framer was a little puzzled as to how to manage the dangling charms but he obviously worked it out. He questioned me as to where I get my supplies from & I had to admit to an internet addiction. Apparently, there is a new shop opening close by which is why he was asking. Further investigation is required & maybe a recce before the TWBB GTG which probably won't be until March next year. So here is TG in all his glory.....I'm very proud!

What a great mail day!

I got 2 packages in the mail today. The first one was 2 skeins of thread that were on back-order from ABC Stitch. It's just a pity they didn't tell me they were on back-order! The other package was an exchange that was organised on the Shepherd's Bush BB. I got home to find this huge box that DH had to sign for (I knew he was at home for a reason!!). It was filled with beautifully wrapped pressies from Chris in VA. Here's a pic of what she sent.

The package included some Silkweaver sparkly fabbie, a chart from Praiseworthy Stitches, various hand-made cards, 3 mesh zipper bags (which aren't in the pic)& a bottle of Bath & Body Works Moonlight Path bubble bath! No wonder the box was huge!!
Here's a close-up of the fob

My progress on Herb Gatherer

I can't put this one down so out the window goes my rotation for another week! I just knew that would happen...so why do I fight it? Go with the flow should be my new motto.
Anyway, here's a pic of my progress on HG. She's pretty fat, isn't she? LOL.

In other news, I have almost finished the Roman blinds I've been making since 1998! These are for my sewing room & will look lovely when done. I'll post a pic when they're up!!
