More?

I just finished this little Mill Hill ornament this morning. It was supposed to be my March effort for the Christmas ornament SAL but I didn't think it would be finished in time. I so love these Mill Hill ornaments - perhaps I'm addicted? I only have 2 more in my stash to do ;) & it seems that everytime I visit my LNS, I get another one. They're so quick and easy to stitch & the finishing is a snap (and it doesn't involve glue!). Of course, the pic doesn't do it justice...it's much more sparkly IRL.

Some more finished ornaments

I've finished some more ornaments! I'm pretty impressed that it's only March & I've finished seven ornaments already. I only have the Lizzie*Kate one to properly finish but I think I'll leave that for a while.

Some finished ornaments

I've been away since last Wednesday at our sort-of annual Aussie stitcher's GTG in the city. I had a ball! We did a finishing "class" (& I use the term loosely LOL) where I showed a couple of the girls how I finish ornaments, so this morning I decided to continue on and do some of mine. Here they are:

This is Angel Stitchin's Christmas Joy from JCS 2006.

This is Winter's Eve by Country Cottage Needleworks (a popular ornament this year!) from 2006 JCS.

This baby is All Hearts Come Home by Hillside Samplings. It was when I was doing the over 1 on this that I discovered I have to take my glasses OFF to see small counts. LOL.

My first Merry Cox finish

I decided to start the finishing yesterday. Well, lucky I did cos it took me ages to do! Some of the instructions were a bit "iffy" and I struggled with them. But finally it's done and finished and I'm very happy.

This is the outside of the bag. I coffee-dyed the ribbon and it came out the most gorgeous honey/golden colour!

This is the insert. I had those scissors in my stash. They're tiny!

All the stitching is done!

So I just have the finishing to do. My plan is to do it on Saturday so stay tuned for the finished item. Now that I've written it down, I have to do it, right? :)

These are some of the labels & a single flower.

This is the lady on top of the "aide memoire".

This is the pincushion.

The last label (& the one I frogged twice!).

Yet another ornament!

This ornament is part of an ornament RR I'm in which I received on Monday. It was a quickie! It's Lizzie Kate's Happy Holidays from the 2006 JCS ornament edition.

Merry is still going strong although I had to frog a bit of nun stitch & over 1 tent stitch. I've finished the second lady for the inside, plus 1 flower for the scissors and 2 labels. So just the basket and 2 more labels to stitch & then I can start on the finishing. I don't think it will be done before the Aussie stitching axe-murderers GTG in 2 weeks although I can try.

Junette, the Stocking ornament measures about 1" by 1". I have sewn it into a pillow ornament & have decided to get some 7mm red ribbon to ruche around the edges instead of cording. Unfortunately, I have nothing in my stash so I'll have to wait until we visit CG to find some nice red silk ribbon.

Tannia, yes that was me trying to suck you into the SB underworld. LOL. I love SB designs and have quite a few on my walls but looking back, I realise I haven't stitched on an SB this year! Well...except for the 2006 scissor fob which I did on New Year's Day.
