Stitching and Other Pleasures

I started this back in October or November last year but had a problem with the grid on one side. After much unpicking & muttering, I managed to finish the stitching & finish the whole thing properly today. This piece is stitched in memory of my friend June who passed away from breast cancer in Feb 2008. It is almost the 2 year anniversary of her death. I bought the kit from Elegant Stitch and all proceeds go towards breast cancer research.

I was reading Susimac's blog where she has invited us all to participate in her New Year's party and do a review of the year. So here is mine. I managed to get 23 finishes in this year. Of these, 5 were scissor fobs, 10 were Christmas ornaments, 6 were Shepherd's Bush shop exclusives (which includes 2 fobs) and 14 were Shepherd's Bush. By far my favourite finish was Finch Song by SB. I just need to get that baby framed. Here's my montage of pics.
