Ohhhhmahhhhgooodnesssss.
Lucy Elizabeth. You have got to be the sweetest little bit around. Happy, happy third baby! You are 7.5 months and will wave "hi" and shake your head "no, no, no" -- and I think it is the cutest thing ever. You are snuggly, you smell delicious, and you love to watch and laugh at your brothers and sisters. Who will you be little one? In case you cannot tell - you are paving the way to be spoiled rotten. We love you!

The NST...
I don't "enjoy" pregnancy exactly. I love feeling the baby, yes -- there is nothing quite like it -- and I will MISS that terribly, especially knowing this is our last. BUT...I am psycho...I am a worrier...I am anxious - and it just gets worse towards the end. So after my VERY active baby had been VERY silent all day, I made a trip to triage. Not even a Coke could coax more than one movement. Thankfully -- her non-stress test looked great, and after several rounds of cranberry juice she started moving again - more like her normal self. According to my doctor's chart I was 35 weeks and 4 days when I went into triage - and because of all of the contractions I was having they decided to check me. I was shocked to discover that I was already 2 cm and 50% effaced. So much for your September 7th due date Dr. Jay...I told you that you were off by at least a week! Momma knows best!!! Hopefully that means this little bit will be coming out sooner rather than later - and the next time I walk into triage - I would love for it to be because I am having a baby! 😊

Prom...Again
I just want to document...that at 32 weeks and 5 days...I went to prom - pregnant. :) For a friend's big birthday celebration his wife threw him a 90's prom party. Dresses were found, corsages purchased - and Justin's hair appropriately gelled. Think LATE 90's...as J and I had our big senior prom in 2000. The evening started with cocktails, appetizers, and light 90's music. We had an amazing dinner pool side, cake, dancing - and by 12:30AM almost the entire party was in the pool -- in their prom attire. A fun night to remember for sure! I can only imagine what our babysitter thought when we showed up in the early morning soaking wet. :)

Sorry Baby...
So I have reached 30 weeks -- and you are ACTIVE -- which makes for one sane and happy prego Mama! You are so active...I had an hour of contractions Saturday night...soooo just hold off on that for another 6 weeks, please! :) I have gained more weight this time - which depresses me - but my diet is good and I am staying active/exercising so the doctor suspects it is fluid weight, as I cannot wear my rings anymore. And I could wear them through previous pregnancies. You don't have an "official" name yet...we THINK we might know your name - but your Daddy isn't ready to commit yet! And here we are at 30 weeks my dear - I LOVE you!!!

Total weight gain/loss: 4 pounds. Ugh. A friend said I didn't have to count the 6-8 pounds that shouldn't have been there before this child was conceived. Thank you, friend.

Movement: I *think* I have felt you about three times - which is terribly annoying because I swear I felt your siblings earlier. Come. On. And. Move.
Food cravings: Nothing yet! :)

Gender: We have been told twice at two different ultrasounds what you are - we will know for sure via blood test next week - can't wait to have confirmation.
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? In.What I miss: Energy. A face without acne. What I am looking forward to: HAVING THIS BABY!
Milestones: hmmm...milestones...not really sure what to put here...I guess it's amazing I am still not really showing yet? If you don't know me - you wouldn't know I was pregnant. I am kind of shocked - I thought you would be popping out by now!

4 years old - or just two months shy of it - you are funny, and sweet, and a KIND big brother who loves to ask me every day how my baby is growing, how my baby is doing, etc. PRECIOUS! You love picking out your own clothes every day - and you make sure every one is doing what they are supposed to be doing at all times! :) You will be a great big brother. Love you.
2.5 years old - Heaven Help us. you are a stinker and a sweet heart at the same time. It amazes me. You talk, talk, talk - ALL the time. You boss your brother and the rest of your family around - ALL the time. I am looking forward to Baby 3 bringing some balance to your perspective on life (the world revolves around YOU, my dear). You are so so so girly - but know how to wrestle like the best of them. Love you.

Upgrade.
I've never been a huge BIG bow fan, or bows on head bands fan - but I always like SOMETHING in her hair when we are in public. I just found those plastic Goody barretts that we used to wear in the '80's and now I am obsessed with putting them in her hair. I believe a bow should be not too big, but not too small. By the way - did you know people are VERY opinionated on bows v. no bows? Very. Anyhow. I got SO tired of people saying JM was a girl that I wanted to make sure that didn't happen to C. Caroline has only been called a boy once - when she did NOT have a bow in her hair. This makes me happy. So while shopping at my favorite Houston store (Berings) I tried a ginormous bow on her head - and I loved it. Makes me giggle bc it looks so silly, and cute at the same time. So - we have upgraded over here at the Sparks House.
In other news...C is saying things like eat, up, ball, car, apple, "no no no" and all of the family members names. Every animal is called "addy" - which is our chihuahua's nickname. Although she does call our cat Larry by his name. Such a fun age.

Just Because...
Does anyone even read blogs anymore? I personally only stalk a few...
JMS almost (I am having a hard time coping with his old age) 2.5 years & CMS 1 year
My little Baylor Bears at Baylor Bonfire - Homecoming 2011 - otherwise known to the Sparks Fam as the Great Stomach Bug Disaster at the Ramada which meant we didn't get to experience Baylor Homecoming 2011...but...whatever. At least we didn't get the poor family that we ate dinner with/hung out with/I gave their children m&ms with my dirty virus hands, sick. Whew.
We are having fun and staying busy - oh wait - SICK - with these two toddlers in the house. The month of October brought our ENTIRE family a sore throat/fever virus, hand foot and mouth disease, and the stomach bug. Fun times. I was NOT a sickie kid - so I don't understand what is going on with these children. Please don't tell me it's because I didn't breastfeed - because we were NOT sick last year.
Ok - so - besides all of that - we are truly staying busy, and these kiddos are growing more and developing such fun personalities. I am dying at how much more personable C is (compared to JM) at this age. Where he just wanted down and away from me and to play - She CRAVES my attention, and eye contact and touch - and I LOVE it. She likes to just stand in my lap and hug and kiss me and tell me "awwwwwwe" and pat my back. Cuddle. Bug. JM tells me the best stories - and others as well. Yesterday he cried from his bed that he couldn't take a nap because, "I NEEEEED a hair cut." Then he told the nurse at my doctor's office (when they accompanied me to an appt) when she asked if he would like some stickers and a sucker, "No - I just weaally want some coffee and chick ill aaaa." ha. Can you tell what I drink and they eat around here? He can be SUCH THE STINKER - and then melt my heart the next minute. Love both of them.
Here's looking forward to the next few months which will hopefully bring less sickness and more blogging? We will see...

100%...
GIRL! :) If Sissy looks a little dazed and confused here...it's because she has one of the nastiest colds/coughs ever. She has turned into a mouth breather. On an adult I would find this obnoxious. On her I think it's cute. I finally pulled my brain out of the attic and realized that I didn't have to spend $$$ on jammies for Sister. Of course - I do buy her the occasional new jammies - and coordinating/matching jammies to go with her brother...but we had PLENTY of jammies left over from Brother to use! And speaking of jammies - I can't wait for her to wear NIGHT GOWNS! Do girls still wear those? These are his NINE MONTH jammies. She turned FIVE MONTHS two days ago. What is the deal!?!?! So now that I am saving money on jammies...I can spend THAT money on all of that smocking that I love, right Husband? :)
