Updates of my Weekend

On Friday, Night Market
Although it is raining on that night, the crowd still came to support the event. Haahaa... Me too! Remind me of days in SGEVENTORS!
Haahaa.... Similarly the organiser are also wearing Red.
There lots of foods, but don't think that the food are handled hygienically (Cooked by students)
Urh.. I still ate a few dishes... =P

The Calm Before The Storm

Finally have time to blogging, reading, jogging, watching dvd and Drama (Heros & Prison Break). So happy to be able to spend time doing other stuffs than studying. So peaceful and calm..

BUT I can forsee that my peace & calm days will end soon, cause I will be handing up my Micro-Economics Assignment next week, Tutorials for all my subjects and 15 Case Law to read & memorize!! Freaking HELL Stressful.

My Plans:
On Friday, attend SIFE (Stock Market Challenges) & Night Market.
On Saturday, I will be going to Yarra Valley for winery & sight seeing. "Hopefully can get some nice pictures up". Talking about Yarra Valley, my Accounting Assignment & tutorial are based on a winery business!! =X

Enough of Studies, Been thinking about watching "Rocky Balboa" on Monday at Nova Cinema @ Lyon St.
Hmm... Anybody interested?
(Updates: The movie isn't showing at Nova Cinema. Sighed!!)

Orh Yesh! I finally finished reading "Flowers for Algernon". It took me about one month to finish the book. I wished I could read at a faster rate, cause there are so many more others books that I want to read. Forgive me, because I only really started reading 2 years ago. I guess my first book is called Rich Dad Poor Dad. I used to think that reading is boring and I will normally end up sleeping. =X

Flowers for Algernon is a sad and inspiring novel; about Charlie, born with an unusual low IQ was chosen for an experimental surgery which had been successfully performed on a lab mouse named Algernon. Charlie’s surgery was successful and soon his intelligence expands and turns him into a genius but not for long.

The story go on with his report like "blog", describing the things that happened to him and his internal struggles. Truly a meaningful story, a bit like "Forest Grump" The movie. Depict some of the meaningful values, i found when reading.

1)Learn to live more meaningfully, instead of living to meet other's expectations.
2)Being wastefully. (Born with intelligence & abilities and yet putting it into waste, where else "mentally & physically challenged people" so desperately wants and needs.)
3)Family, Friends are more important than achievements.
4)Learning to forgive.
5)Be modest about your achievements, respectful toward people.
6)Dun give out even if you are faced with tons and tons of failures. "Winners Never Quit, Quitters Never Win!"

Deadlines !!!

Finally, having some time to blog. I'm so busy these days.
But the worst are not over! I will be having Accounting Assessment and Micro-Economics Test due on coming Wednesday and one Micro-Economics Assessment the following week.
*Breath deeply* =(

My Business Law Test wasn't that tough as i though it will be.
But I’m worried, cos in the past whenever i feel good about some exam/test. They normally don't turn out good!
In fact, their result are worst than those that i have no confidence in..! *Prayin*
Nonetheless, I had done my studies, so will accept whatever outcome.
(Updates: Test result out! As expected I didn't do well.
DAMNED!! Why i got so many qns wrong? *Frustrated*
kk.. I must accept the outcome.. :(
I have to work harder next time!)

Moomba Waterfest

These are photos I took last weekend. Urh.. Kind of slow in my updates.
The following photos are only part of the entire Moomba WaterFest Festive Event, which stretch for 4 days.
I took them cos they are interesting, damn retarded and weird! It’s called the BirdRally.

“The original Birdman Rally was invented by UK Royal Air Force photographer, George Abel in 1971. George migrated to Australia and so too did the rally; in 1975 Birdman bedlam became the high (and low!) of Moomba celebrations.

In 2007 Moomba Waterfest will feature a four-metre high platform where Melbourne’s flying enthusiasts will launch their weird and wacky crafts into the Yarra.

Winner are judged for the longest distance travelled in the craft and also for the most inventive and whacky contestants.”

More Tests and Assignment COMING! *Sigh*

I have been studying, but progress is slow. Spend two dates studying only (Week1) stuffs. Awwhhh... So much studying and reading to do. Hopefully I will be able to get a good start with my business law test! *Prayin*

Sorry, didn't have much time to post pictures and write more.
One of my self-cooked meal will do.. Wahaha.. Getting better at cooking. =D

BLOG SPAM?

I got Tagged!

"Those who get tagged must post 6 weird things about themselves in their blog and state the rules clearly. (Stikeout: At the end of the post, you must choose 6 other people to tag)."
I normally got these kinda of spam emails, NOW it is infecting blog as well!! O_o"

Guess there is no harm writing about myself on my blog. In a way, it's a good self-reflection exercise. (With the benefit of escaping from studies/works.) =P

Here I Go,

Definition of weird: odd or very strange

1) The "ON" attitude that I’m cultivating for the past 4 years. Whenever I think about something that I wan to do, I will just DO IT without long serious thinking. (Cos normally if I think too much, I will end up not doing)
Example, nowaday whenever I see opportunities on short course that might be beneficial. I will sign up!!
Another example, yesterday I decided to go University at 6.30pm to study and use internet. I just go without checking if which lib/compter lab is opened. =X

2) I can not stand the smelly & bloody shell seafoods, like LaLa, Oyster, Mussels and etc. (with the exception of prawn, crab, lobster and crayfish).

3) I'm single and haven’t been attached before. (It sounds so corny.) *Cold* Argh!! It is not that I had not like anybody, but I guess no fate till now.

4) I want to work for myself. (Starting up a company or business) Hmm.. Do that constituent as weird?
Put it this way, here I am studying commerce with the vision of learning whatever I can to be able to start up my own business. Unlike most people, who are in university trying to get great marks that get them a good high pay job.
I only wanted to work for myself, even if it meant that I will be earning lesser than what I should. *Hopefully NOT* =P

5) I shave without any lotions or creams. Just plain razor and water. Even after shaving, I dun put on shave lotion. *Hardcore*

6) I'm quite fussy abt certain stuffs when it come to paying.
Example 1: Normally in Singapore, coffee shop/food court will employ waitress (drink attendants) to take your drink order. If the drink stall didn't employ any, and requires us (consumers) to self-service, I will normally prefer not drinking, even if I am damn thirsty. To clarify, it is not that I mind queueing up or anything. I do queue up for quaility foods / stuffs. BUT Drinks! (coffee, tea, soft drink) <- these are cheap stuffs, nothing special. Perhaps i am disgusted with the drink owners wanting to save employers' wages and depriving us of services.
Example 2: Waiting for bus, If I know I can walk to my destination for less than 15-20 mins and I had to wait for about 10 mins for bus. I will prefer to walk. It dun make sense that I had to wait 10 mins for bus to pay and it takes about the same time when I had earlier chosen to walk.

Thou shall spare others from tagged. (But those who read my blog shall do the same.) Haahaahaa.... =D If u didn't write, it meant that u didn't read my blog at all. Which is kind of sad.. :( *Tough choice? Wahahaha... =P

Warmest Regards,
Alex Seah.

Losing Focus??

I'm busy with my studies, everybody seem so clever and hardworking... *Pressure*
- The truth is that i'm not looking for H1 (Distinction)
Although i dun mind. =P But it is that peer pressure that everybody seem hardworkin & clever that makes me feel that I need to be as hardworking and smart as them.
(But my objective is to learn as much as possible, that could help me in my future. "Business")

Am I losing my focus? (Studying for the sake of scoring instead of being objective abt what I want to learn.)

Enjoying my Saturday!

I had a BBQ party @ park with all tenants from Rooms International Pty Ltd in the early afternoon. They owned three buildings in Melbourne, in which they rented out to students like us. (How I wished I owned buildings too.. =P) *Slapping myself out of my dream*

Their BBQ pits are electricity operated like hot plates, unlike Singapore's BBQ - using charcoal.
For the entire afternoon, I didn't actually go out to know more people. Just sticking around those from my apartment. *Me Anti-social* =X

After this BBQ party, I went to Jane's Birthday Party in the evening till night.. (Photos will be updated as soon as possible.)
OPNS!!!. Basically didn't touch my studies for the entire week... =X
I should be studying now, but find myself blogging NOW.
Ok ok... I going to study. :(

Warmest Regards,
Seah Tian Yong, Alex
