sad

I hate it when she screams and screams and screams and I have absolutely no idea why...

Water Skiing

A couple of weeks back we spent a very fun Saturday out on Lake Sommerville with some friends on their boat.  They were more than generous in helping our kiddos learn to ski and ride around on tons of stuff.  We had a blast!  Kylie and Devin tagged along too and they mostly enjoyed it.  :)  Devin did NOT like the life jacket and made sure most of the lake knew it.  Finally,  he adjusted once he got a nap in (on me) and he did pretty good.  Kylie was a little disturbed that she was not allowed to play in the water the entire time, but overall it was a super fun day.  Now for tons and tons and tons of pictures!

Emily took to water skiing like a fish!  She did awesome!  After just a couple of times she was up for about 5 minutes.  She loved it!

She got so comfortable out there, she even started goofing off, notice the tongue sticking out
For some reason we don't have any pictures of Dallin, just a couple of videos.  He didn't enjoy it near as much, because he had a hard time staying up, but he is only 6.  He did great though!
Me and my little guy while he is fast asleep
They also had this great inflatable ride that all four of us rode on in different combinations

Here's David and Emily

Then David rode by himself and started to do some tricks

Which led to this
Which led to Emily going for the same thing

Which led to Dallin giving it a shot

They're doing great

But in the end of course it led to this...  :)

And here's a not very good picture, but it is of David wakeboarding

Emily even had a turn driving the boat
Somehow we don't seem to have a single picture of Kylie, but I promise she was there.  Anyway, it was great summer day and brought back so many memories for me out on the lake when I was a kid.

the dynamic duo

This morning david made pancakes. The syrup was left on the table--opened. Big mistake... I went into the study for a few minutes to do my visiting teaching report and pay some bills. The silence beckoned again--too late. Kylie brought a friend, Devin, and together they got the bottle of syrup off the table dumped it on the kitchen chairs and floor. Then they carried it into the living room and continued to empty it on the rug and couch and then rub their hands through it and all over their bodies...I need a maid and/or a vacation...

Also, she woke us up about 4 times last night crying and throwing up...don't worry she's not sick...she's just her...

And yesterday this was her feat....

I did the dishes. Shouldn't I be allowed to do the dishes? I finished the dishes and started looking for her, realizing a little too late that I hadn't seen her in awhile...kylie, i'm tired...
