Who does he/she look like?

I always hear about how much my babies look like one side of the family or the other. So I thought I'd post my and Chris's baby pictures along with my babies so you can make a better judgment. I think Chris and I have a lot of similar features, so it makes it more difficult to tell. The only thing I'm really sure of is that Zeke has grandpa Rauch's ears.

Summer Fun

I thought I'd share some pictures of our summer fun.
The boys in our backyard pool
Keilah likes the swing. If you zoom you can see her 2 bottom teeth.
All 3 kids-a-swinging.

Sand castle at the beach (while Keilah slept).

Below are pictures of a hike we took up the mountain by our house to find a geocache.

Milestones

We've got a milestone avalanche at our house!

Keilah is getting very quick at the army crawl. She is also becoming very steady sitting up on her own. AND she's cut her first 2 teeth (at the same time, on the bottom).

Zeke is fully potty trained. He wakes up dry, and makes it to the toilet almost every time. I'm so proud! A big thanks to Silas for making it possible by teasing Zeke relentless about being a baby because he wears diapers.

Silas is getting to be a pretty good reader and writer. He writes a sentence in his workbook every morning and practices reading with his internet games.

Good job kids!

Happy Independence Day

In case you were wondering what the Kailua town parade looks like, I've uploaded a few photos. I think it was impressive for a town with a population of about 36,500.

They had the typical fire trucks...
the horses followed by the pooper scoopers...

lots of fancy cars all decorated. I didn't have the camera out yet, but the Corvette Club of Hawaii had quite a showing of cars...

then there's the not-so-standard fare like the hula group. I'm bummed I forgot to get the camera out for the Chinese drummers and the Japanese swordmen...

and of course a parade isn't a parade without men in skirts.
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We're going to the beach tonight to watch the fireworks display. I love watching fireworks over the ocean.

Keilah's Milestone

Keilah turned 6 months on 6/30, so on 7/1 she decided it was time to get moving! She's unstoppable now!
