saying bye to 2008, and HALO to 2009...

We went to Old Orchard mall yesterday..
didn't really shopped, but jalan-jalan saja..saw a bear
used the gift card for godiva that church ppl gave dad.. yumm..
went to JoAnn's to buy craft supplies too.. Eileen's with us too.. =)Christmas at home...
what i did this holiday:
have dinners and lunches (with various church friends)
practice piano for church choir songs
shop with family
read Bible
bought journal and planner (started journal)
watch Little Nyonya (n learn about peranakan culture..love the show)
listen to CNY songs (it's never too early)
learn how to use adobe photoshop (thanks Eileen for teaching me!)

this is the place that's used for a lot of the scenes in SG dramas.. kinda like the jetty place in hong kong movies..(if u watch a lot of HK or SG dramas, u'll know what I'm talking about)..haa.. bougainvillea

btw, winter break just started!!! hehe..that's why I have time to browse through my old pics and do some editting.. I'm going home today.

for real this time..I took these pics after I finished taking my C.Doc final...I finished three of my finals, so only one more to go! =)I was so excited when I saw the snow..(btw, this is not the first snow of this winter..I just never got excited about the previous snows...haa..)

After studying the Old Testament, the salvation message in the New Testament means so much more to me.. cos i've been studying OT for the past semester..about how the Israelites, God's people, had covenants with God but they kept disobeying Him but He promised them deliverance if they would repent..and the prophets prophesied about the Messiah. So when I read Zechariah's song in Luke 1:67-79, the words are so much stronger to me than it was before..maybe it's because "I've been waiting for the Messiah to come for the whole semester"(yea, i know it's such a long time period, right?)..

Zechariah's Song
67His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:
68"Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has come and has redeemed his people.
69He has raised up a horn of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David
70(as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),

anyway, taking OT Survey class was really fun..I learned so much in it.. I'm going to take my OT final later.. NT survey for next semester..looking forward to it..
