Char kueh

My favorite food of all time.
This is my mom's homemade char kueh, although my favorite char kueh is in Sri Aman, but mom's getting closer to the Sri Aman standard.

One thing in common

All the things above have one thing in common: they are all second-hand products that we bought at garage sales or picked up from others who don't want them anymore. We like to think of this hobby of collecting used things as part of our contribution to protecting the environment. ^^

My fav subjects/props in a picture

Intelligent Design

If you love science or philosophy, watch this. I especially love the conclusion at the end of the video.

By the way, I am taking Introduction to Philosophy now, and it's really cool to learn that God is not a God above logic, but He is a God of logic, because He created logic. My prof gave this example:
(look at this as if it's a math equation)

God says in the Bible that whoever calls on Him will be saved.
We call on Him and believe in Him.
(therefore) We'll be saved.

However, if God is above logic, we can't trust the what He promises in the Bible.

We have a God who Is. When you realize how amazing He is, you'll be humbled. We are created in His image, so we can also think and have logic. Therefore, use your minds to love Him wholly and to pursue truth.

Mark 12:29-30 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'"

Watching the sunrise...

We headed out at around 5am on Friday to go see the sunrise at the lakeside/beach. It's our last day at Moody together this semester because we finished our school year so we wanted to do something fun before we head out to different places for the summer, especially for Yvonne who's going back to Hong Kong after finishing Jewish studies here.
We were a little late, but we still caught the sunrise on time. It's like an egg yolk rising up from the blue lake.
Proof that we were there =PNo swimming of course
The cool breeze and the beautiful sky woke us up although we were sleep-deprived from the packing and cleaning from the night before.
Friends--one of the treasures God has blessed us with.
I love being out in the open space!
Sara played the guitar while we all sang worship songs by the lake.
Praising God together...
Ferris wheel at Navy Pier
Me..enjoying the sunshine
More singing...
Heading back to school
It's actually a cloudy day..After that, Sara drove us to Chinatown to eat breakfast. =) We ate satay soup mee fun with milk tea and Portugese tarts while Vin Sie had her favorite porridge. We also shared about what God has taught us this past year. It was a sweet sweet time with them.
