Why we Praise

"I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because the praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment" --C.S. Lewis

"Exalting is a part of existence. It is so much a part of it, that when one has ceased to exalt God, something else must be exalted. Then God can displaced by a man, an institution, an idea. Exalting remains a function of existence." --Claus Westermann

"Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD." --Psalm 150:6

Evening at the park

One thing I like about summer is more sunlight (quite obvious), but it's really nice to have the sun still shining at 7 or 8pm. Took these pictures a few days ago while we were strolling in the park by the lake. Seeing all the green made me happy. ^^

Isn't he adorable? I took this pic of him while he's watching Thomas & Friends on youtube.

Buttercups

found this field of beauty a few weeks ago in the neighborhood near our house. These flowers make me smile!

PTL-June 23

Although I often feel like I need more time, PTL that He gives me 24 hours every day instead of 23 or 22 hours.

PTL for family!

I couldn't get a summer job but I have time to read and learn more things. PTL!

PTL for dreams!

I am far less than perfect but I will be glorified one day and be in God's presence. PTL!

Buckingham Fountain and buildings

Honduras soccer team supporters who came all the way from Honduras to watch the game. I felt like I know them just because I have a dear friend who's from Honduras. =)

More architecture of downtown Chicago.

Rainy day at Millenium Park

Garden in the city

An old couple spending a relaxing afternoon in the park.

Wedding photography, my newest field of interest. =) well, of course I've never tried doing it but I love looking at wedding photographers' blogs.

The Chicago Gospel Music Festival was happening that day, but it hasn't started yet when we went there.
More shots of the stage of millenium park.
Joy =)

People waiting for the concert to start.

A choir rehearsing.
If it didn't start raining (and we only brought one umbrella), I would have loved to stay to watch the concert. It's a bummer...
Although the rain made our trip less enjoyable (not to mention, miss the potentially great Gospel concert), it's great to see the colorful umbrellas!
Don't you just love the colors umbrellas add to the crowd?

The famous bean. It's a sculpture made of stainless steel which reflects the buildings on all sides.

The lines of rain adds texture to the bean.
This little girl was dancing and singing there. Her parents were nowhere in sight, but she can definitely audition for one of those reality shows and get in.

I guess she was watching her own moves in the reflection on the bean.
Australian visitors.
Family portrait inside/under the bean.
