Just so we are clear, as soon as you guys can manage to get to a computer, we would all like a full report with pics. How did it go? Has anyone heard anything?

Pumpkin Patch(es)

Our second pumpkin patch-
Jane and Sadie in their starring roles as Ghost Pumpkins
Sometimes the boy cries.
Sadie can finally wear pigtails.
Ellie loved the table of squash.
We couldn't peel Sawyer away from the inflatable giraffe.
If you get it you get it.

Our first pumpkin patch- Ellie was at school and the girls were on break.
My pretty Sadie, she's growing up so quickly.

Corn stalk teepee
the labyrinth
Sadie attempting to decide which pumpkin she wants.
Jane attempting to model a pumpkin that was way too heavy. I kept laughing and shaking the camera. She was about to kill me.
Sawyer and his "BAT" shirt.

Tooth Fairy

About a month ago, Parker lost a tooth. He dutifully and faithfully put it under his pillow, neglecting to inform his parents that he had lost it in the first place. A week passed and he expressed to us his profound disappointment in the tooth fairy. She had completely forgotten about his tooth. Naturally, the situation was rectified promptly.

One week ago: Parker loses another tooth. This time, the 'tooth fairy' was diligent in her duties. Upon reaching for his tooth under his pillow, she instead discovered the above letter addressed to her, with his tooth TAPED to it. For some reason, Parker was a bit paranoid that she would forget him again - or not be able to locate his tooth. He even drew her a diagram. The tooth fairy got a good laugh that night.

Sorry this took so long...

I took this when Mike & Brooke crossed the finish line - promised to post it, and let too much time go by. So - here it is. Please ignore my yelling - just trying to be supportive. And the finish time on the clock isn't accurate - they waited 5-10 minutes before crossing the starting line.

Notice the guy in the lower left hand corner - he does a cartwheel just before crossing the finish. As if...

Good luck to Tom & Tracey this weekend as they run their first marathon!

Pumpkin Patch

Last Thursday, we were able to go to the pumpkin patch with Andrew's preschool group. The boys had a blast doing all of the fun things there and they each got to go home with a little pumpkin. It was fun to finally go to one since this was our first time doing it. I will say that it would have been fun to make the trip with everyone in the family over in Vancouver. We love you all!

House Cleaning While Mom is Away

In lieu of Mom being away until tomorrow, I think I'll just clean the whole house today in anticipation of her arrival back home tomorrow. Of course, this is in addition to working a ten hour day. I'll start when I get home tonight. The rest of the men in the family should take this as a challenge. :)

B & B's Halloween Party

Melia as Alice

Morgan as Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell (pulling Wendy's hair), Wendy, Peter Pan, Hook, John & Michael

The White Rabbit, Tweedle-Dee & Tweedle-Dum, & Alice

The Super-Family

Brent & Buffy did another spectacular job at hosting our annual Halloween Party! There were so many good treats, some great costumes, fun games, and just great company. And, of course, the evening was topped off with Brent & Buffy's exciting news. Thanks again!

Unfortunately, both Isaac and Morgan crashed hard that night - coming down with fevers and coughs. They are home today, totally lifeless. Isaac has Districts this Saturday, and all his coach said to me was, "Get that kid healthy. I need him." I am doing my best. Washed 4 sets of sheets today to try to keep this bug from spreading...and I feel like I am walking around with a tub of clorox wipes tucked under one arm.

I have to give a talk on traditions - and how they can strengthen family ties. If anyone has some great traditions to share or some other insight, please share.

I'm off. Hope everyone is well and staying healthy!
