From Sunrise... To Sunset...

This turned out pretty long...

Okay I remembered what I wanted to say!!

Whenever I'm behind the counter, a typical conversation goes like this:

Customer: You still schooling?
Me: Ya..
Customer: Oh, secondary school?
Me: No..
Customer: Poly?
Me: No.. Uni..
Customer: OH! Which one? NUS or NTU?
Me: Errr, overseas..

Ya, I get a lot of people telling me I look like I'm in secondary school.. Oh yes, I do wish I could go back to those carefree after-school days when we can hang around and do nothing or stay back in school for endless remedial sessions.. I always feel strange when I see students these days finishing school at about 3pm or whatever, and I think back about what I did when I was in their shoes.. I remember staying back at school to eat lunch, slack, finish up all my homework so I will have lots of time do play at home...

And one thing I totally don't get is why hasn't anyone asked me if I'm in JC? Hello, do I have the words on my forehead that read "I AM IN POLY"?? I'm not against going to poly, but if that's what people think, apparently I don't look smart enough to be a JC student?! Maybe I need to start borrowing uniforms to make me look like I am in JC or something LOL..

Like, do people generally look down on you first, assuming that you are in poly without considering the fact that you MIGHT be in JC? I just ponder over that.. And I do wish I had been here to experience the JC life.. I always feel that JC life is so fun minus the mugging involved.. *And all the people reading this blog who were in JC will start pelting tomatoes at me..*

I feel that I have missed out on a lot in the Singapore education system, but at the same time I have gained a lot of other experience overseas.. And yet as a conformist I feel left out when I'm taking the road less travelled to a university degree.. In the bottom corner of my heart I feel that I want to be ONE OF THEM.. I want to be a "real Singaporean", going through all the competition to vie for a spot in JC and then later on a local university.. Like how they say the grass is always greener on the other side..

Of course, I feel blessed to have the life I have now.. I am not saying I am not grateful to my parents for paying attention to my future by doing all this for me.. I learn a lot of things that many other people might not necessarily have the opportunity to do so.. I discover that the world is not such a small place after all..

It had been these few years of my last teenage years that I have discovered life.. Not the meaning of life, but rather the complexity and what it comprises of. I know I cannot do anything to turn back the time, nor change the way my life is right now. Maybe I can, but still I cannot change the past, as much as I would want to.

As I try to plan my next step in life, there are of course many things I want to do but yet am unable to. I am not going to list them out, and many of my innermost passions will remain deep within me until one day when I have no responsibilities to fulfill, no obstacles obstructing me, no financial burdens to weigh me down, and basically when my world consists of nothing else but me. Yet when the world only revolves around me and nothing else, nothing can be done.

I don't love life, I don't hate it either. I embrace whatever comes my way and try to deal with it my way. It is such an adventurous journey with so many bumps and hidden agenda for you to find out, for you to decide where to put your foot next, a step that will take you to yet another wonderland.. There are no deadends in life, only ever-winding roads to be travelled...

Slept like a log until 11:30am today!! Cos I slept at 1:30am.. LOL~~ And I ate chicken pie, and then go out around 12:30pm to work.. But end up forgot EZ-link card AGAIN!! Alamak. If Ppl know I will die, so die die had to go back and take lor...

Bought bubble tea again! Had tuna on hotdog buns for lunch, with green apple green tea!! Yummiezzz. Slack a lot.. Dinner was Korean rice.. And baked potato..

I still don't remember what to blog about!!!

I AM AN UN-ALCOHOLIC!

Today was another MF gathering, this time with the guys included! Sadly it wasn't as fun as I'd perceived it to be, due to several circumstances.. But never mind the awkwardness..

Didn't sleep very well, dunno why also.. Work early, and then cat sleep until so cute!!! OMG.. Haha fed it twice.. Lucky cat indeed.. Wonder how it'll survive after we're gone...

Left at 5pm, met Hianez at Clarke Quay (oops I was late) and we walked around the riverside, taking pictures.. Pretty good pictures, especially with our faces in the camera.. Hahaha..

Anyway, finished being Hianez's photography model and met Shumz and Vivz.. Alamak they too busy shopping until don't want come MRT meet me lah! Then Likai (aka Steve [Stiff]) reach and then followed by Bryan and Marc.. Couldn't recognise Bryan cos his hair so long!

Walked around the Central shopping centre, and decided to eat at the Japanese pasta place.. Waraku.. Took an extremely long time to decide on what to eat!!! So many choices of pasta!!!

I picked meatballs and asparagus pasta in cream soup.. Quite interesting.. Nearly couldn't finish cos just don't have appetite.. Seriously I think their prices are reasonable.. Nearly all the pasta dishes are $12.80 or $14.80. Mine was the latter and I kowtow to their perfect pasta texture. After watching one too many episodes of Everyday Italian, I now know what perfectly al dente pasta tastes like.. I aspire to cook like that!!! Sigh I could go on ranting about how perfect the pasta was la..

So anyway, we finished dinner before 9pm and went over to Cafe Iguana, cos they wanted to drink.. They got a jug of blueberry margarita at half price (Happy Hour), and there were 6 cups.. But me and Likai didn't drink.. Bryan, Shumz and Vivz had 2 glasses each and they pressured Marc to try also, so end up he had a glass (there were more than 6 glasses cos the jug had leftover..)

He was scrunching up his face throughout the entire hour he tried to down the drink while the other 3 alcoholics downed theirs in several minutes and got more shots!! LOL.. I am so guai I only tasted a drop and I didn't like it so I DO NOT DRINK! :)

Oh yea, funny quote of the day, courtesy of Bryan after drinking only one glass of margarita:
"How are we going to go home? They ask us not to take public transport after drinking?" LOL and we told him, "NO you're not supposed to DRIVE after drinking!!" LOL someone drunk after only one glass ah!

And it got kinda ridiculous when we girls were discussing about underwear and Bryan joined us, telling us what girls should and should not wear!! Alamak. Seriously, some people never change!!!

And I bumped into Jasmine TWICE at Clarke Quay! First time when Hianez and me entered Central and I saw her.. And then we were walking back from Cafe Iguana and saw her coming from the opposite way..

Sat through a great storm and by the time we left around 10+ it had stopped raining.. Shumz and Likai were heading to Ang Mo Kio and the rest of us were supposed to be taking the NEL home (Serangoon - Marc and Bryan, Kovan - me, Hougang - Vivz).. Managed to persuade the AMK people to take train with us to Hougang then they change bus to AMK..

Then suddenly Marc say he going AMK, so all 5 of them decided to take bus and I was the only one taking train, even though they ask me to take bus 80.. I refused to because it takes forever and of course I refuse to detour to AMK to take bus back to Kovan!! I hate doing that because I've already suffered enough in MF..

Sigh, all pangseh me.. Not ONE person pei me to take MRT!!! Train journey only took me 20 minutes =) And I got home before 11pm..

Just another Saturday

Strangely I didn't get a good night's sleep even after successful registration of my timetable.. Tossing and turning and NOT falling asleep was NOT fun!!! Got up at 10:30am.. Watched TV, until 11:30am+..

Caught 10 minutes of some Ch U show about wedding dresses, hosted by Michelle Chia and Quan Yifeng.. OMG Michelle Chia looks stunning in nearly ALL the wedding gowns she tried on.. Sculpted shoulders, smooth back, pouty lips, sharp chin, long legs, tanned skin.. Man, I hate to sound lesbian but she is reeeeeally sexy and should be a model!!! And when Quan Yifeng tried on one of the gowns she looked -_-!!! nothing to say..

Went to buy chicken rice for me and mama.. Haha the person gave me one packet chicken thigh rice when I ordered the normal one.. Drank yesterday's pearl milk tea.. Not nice liao la.. Pearls hardened instead of becoming soggy.. LOL..

Play with cat!! Cashier.. Boring.. My energy was drained and I was all weak before dinner.. LOL.. Stupid bus today made me wait 20 minutes!!! Alamak!! Waste my time.. Come back slack..

Happy happy

Today has been a rather happy day, for

1) one of our staff who's leaving bought us all Long John's Silver.. Damn generous leh! One meal each, for me, mama and the cashier.. She told us yesterday, "Don't eat until too full ah!" So we only ate a bit, like bread and stuff but never did we expect such a lot of food! Me and mama shared one meal and then the other one save for dinner, which ended up really greasy and soggy (makes me feel damn FAT!)..

2) I broke the high score for Nature Park on mama's handphone! Fucking addicting game I tell ya.

3) The cat came to work as usual (after ponning yesterday) and we don't have to be worried.. And it got 2 big meals to eat too! From one of our customers..

4) Caught a pretty picture of the ginger cat with the bell, the one that's always chasing Xiang Xiang.. Sitting in the midst of the grass with long leaves around it.. Very nice!

5) Supposed to have bubble tea but end up too full so saved it for tomorrow. Please, don't let the pearls get soggy!!!

Okay, and I came home early and now I'm all freshly showered, waiting desperately for 11:30pm to come, which is 8:30am Vancouver time, the time that my registration opens for classes! Seats are running out.. I'm so nervous!! Don't even know which plan I should use..

Oh and anyway I damn blur la.. Looking at pictures on my camera on the train home, and the display thing screw up stuck at Buangkok so I missed my stop at Kovan and only realized when the train approached Serangoon!! LOL had to take the train back one stop.. Lame la..

Last night bad mood, plan timetable until 1:30am, then finished watching my TV at 2am and I went to sleep.. Planned not to sleep the whole night but didn't dare to risk it..

SIAN! 2 more hours of agonizing waiting!!!

EDIT @ 12am:

Registration is successful!!! Even though finally I am still fated not to take ECON 371.. Though the timetable's pretty scattered, but I've got more or less the courses I would rather want.. My backups were untouched.. I'm pretty lucky, cos one of Selina's classes ended up full and she didn't know what to take in place of it... Now Ppl can stop making noise at me le.. :)

Hmmmmmph. Nothing to say. Everything I say Ppl also take it the wrong way and then I end up getting misunderstood and then I get scolding because I never answer his question and everything.

Anyway, today the cat disappeared for the whole day!!!! Until after dinner then come back!! So worried..

Randomness

Lalala today shiok again laze in bed till nearly 11am!! Haha these days sleeping without aircon very shuang cos my bed is wooden and doesn't have mattress so it's nice and cooling, and my millions of pillows (seriously, there are 3 small pillows, one big one, and a bolster..) make it nice and comfy for me.. Kinda miss sleeping in Vancouver cos weather is cold and snuggling in the warm nest is super comfy!!

Didn't have to watch TV cos watch liao.. And go out, do nothing, slack all day and even at night! Dinner super yucky LOL.

Drank Yakult! It's been at least one year since I last drank it.. Really would like to drink it every day if not for its priciness..

Shower time and then TV!!! Erm, actually online discussing random stuff with Hianez. ie, how to pass myself off as a (local) student for dining at restaurants.. Hello! I'm a student too! Only Hianez can pei me talk until like this.. Random gibberish everywhere..

Sigh, weekend plans duno how. To go or not to go?

No Power

Wooooh damn shiok slept till 11+am today haha! Skipped breakfast, showered and then went out... Go shop ate lunch, then 2:30pm power outage because they were fixing the power thingy.. Damn hot!!! Fanned like crazy.. Dark also la, but quite fun..

2 whole hours no electricity.. Still can survive.. Cashier for the rest of the afternoon, and then dinner and I went home.. I beat my high score for my Beach Rally game on my phone! Hahaha I'm so bo liao..

Came back early watch TV.. Yesterday's and today's episode of La Femme.. Makes me even more scared of marriage!! All the divorce problems etc.. Sighhhh..

Okay back to timetable planning. Eeeeeks.

OMG timetable planning is getting tougher and tougher as the registration day inches nearer and nearer~!!! I realized I have no choice but to give up the course I wanna take the most... All the stupid location problems. I haven't found a suitable combination which doesn't require me to run across half the campus in 10 minutes!!!!!

Today the June holidays are officially over, and people are back to school! So that means a lot more work for us cashiers! No more time to dawdle and slack.. But managed to read some newspapers.. New Paper had a report about 2 kids in HK climbing down from the 34th storey to buy breakfast!! Alamak. The report used really funny phrases, like "the boy ended his journey on the 25th storey.." and "they found a tired, dusty little girl in their kitchen.." Hilarious.

Anyway, I forgot to bring my EZ-link card today, and only realized when I was about to take the train. No way was I going to be walking back home to take it cos I was running late and it would take 20 minutes to do that.. So I got the single trip ticket which cost me $1.30.. Hahaha.. Now I understand why some people need to buy that..

It turns out that everyone in my family takes turns getting pissed at each other.. 90% of the time involves Ppl getting pissed at either me or mama. Seriously. I need to get away!

Arrrrrgh not much time to plan timetable! HOWHOWHOW?

Hoooo I'm home early!

Didn't sleep well again, second night in a row.. Woke up in the middle of the night (okay actually 5:30am) freezing to death, and seriously it was howling outside! Crazy thunderstorm approaching, too cold so I went to mama's place to sleep... Got up 8+, shower, go out.. Damn cold and dark!!! I hate storms..

Ahh and then go shop, cashier.. Not that sian cos not that little people.. Irritating customers are -_-!!! Tell them bread is fresh dunno how many times also don't want to believe..

Ate some chocolate biscuit roll thing with vanilla cream inside.. Like the 黑白配 biscuit, but different manufacturer.. OMG instantly addicted! Hahahaha. Restrained myself and saved the rest for another day..

EMO!

Oooooh I hate PMS-y days, though I usually don't get them..

Ppl started talking about summer school next year and I just said something I thought he didn't know and I end up getting a lashing, as usual along the lines of me arguing back and making him angry. I give up trying to convince him that there is such a thing in this world called DISCUSSION and not only he big big talk all.

Shower, went to NTUC buy stuff to siam away from Ppl as soon as possible, then stone until lunch.. Porridge and chicken drumstick.. Porridge these days cos mama has an uber big ulcer! And then drank green tea again.. Heaven and Earth green tea not that nice, cos got some burnt smell.. Pokka is better..

Cashier.. Listened to Air Supply on radio.. They are performing in Singapore tonight!! Oh my gosh how I wish I could go to their concert AGAIN! Simply love them to bits!!! Siiiiiigh. Bet they'll put on an excellent show tonight..

Haha never realized how emo I can be when PMS-ing.. Now I know eh.. Can be scary! LOL!~ Sian.. Oh ya was taking silly pictures at the shop.. Will show them to you soon! It's super funny!

Impromptu Late-Night Shopping

Today is rather boring, I slept like a log till 10:30am, and then got up, ate and watch TV and then slack online till around 12pm then go out.. Lunch was some pineapple fried rice made by one of our customers, plus half a double cheeseburger.. Cashier was boring..

I got 2 calls to go out in the evening, one from Augustine, one from Mary.. But I declined both. No reason why, just did.

At night after we close, me and mama went to PS.. Cos we saw an ad in the paper that says Carrefour is open till 12midnight, and we saw a nice pan on sale. So we went and end up the stupid pan was SO BIG! Too big, so we walk around see see then nothing much then 11pm+ go home le.. It's been SUCH a LOOOOONG time since I went shopping with mama!!

Oh yes, went by Daiso and I got a camera case! It doesn't have as much padding for protection as I would have liked but the design and shape was really cute... Will take picture of it soon and show you if I'm not lazy.. Hahaha.. See how it goes la.. Shopping is satisfying when you get stuff you really want and need.. Like now, I really need a good pot and pan to bring overseas.. Sounds kinda silly but I won't have time to go shopping once I'm over there la..

Damn ANGRY!

Last night threw tantrum. Because mainly about the whole ECON and ENGL thing.. Ppl is such a wet blanket.. Instead of being happy that I got into ECON, now he nags that I cannot decide whether to take both ECON and ENGL or not.. He just criticises everything I said until I cannot tahan la.. My gosh, don't even remember the last time I cried lor.. =_= Getting into ECON was supposed to be a JOYFUL thing for heaven's sake, why do I end up crying tears of angst?!

And then slept at 1am.. Woke up at 10+, TV and breakfast, and then go shop.. BORING! The bottom of my left eye keeps twitching nonstop!!! Irritating.. Until now! Half-watching the tape of You Are The One.. Lame, quite boring..

Ah okay, let me list the things I'm pissed off with Ppl about..

1) Double major ECON and ENGL

Firstly, I have to clarify that I did not really intend to do both, and he just assumed that I was insisting on doing both just out of the blue. I just clearly decided that I would apply to both, just in case ECON fails and I am left with no major. I thought Ppl should know that I was using ENGL as a backup and would give it thought only after I know the results of both applications. Now, I think I WILL go ahead with the double major because I will show everyone that I CAN DO IT! (But I'm scared! LOL)

2) ECON 490

This is a required course (aka module) if I want to graduate from ECON, and according to the website, apparently Ppl saw it as something about booking in advance because there are limited seats for only people in the program.. And this course is taken in 4th year.. And Ppl kept pestering me to register for it in my 3rd year. I keep telling him NO it's impossible to register stuff a year in advance and he refuses to listen. So the letter came yesterday and it also said that there is already a place reserved for me in ECON 490 and so obviously I don't worry until 4th year.. And now Ppl refuse to admit that he's wrong..

3) ENGL as backup

He criticised this behaviour of mine to be "the typical Hong Kong person behaviour". Like applying to everything first and then decide later. Firstly I feel offended. Here I am trying to make plans for my future, by placing myself in a more secure position and you make such a hurtful comment like that. And secondly, both he and I are HK people anyway, so he's insulting his own kind. Okay, maybe I consider myself Singaporean, so he is then definitely insulting his own people, while every other day he's cursing under his breath about the bad things in Singapore. How lowly is this behaviour, you tell me? Afterall, what if I don't get into ECON? Then won't it be the situation where I have NO major? I do what's best for myself and I plan everything properly, and I'm not the muddlehead Ppl perceive me to be..

4) Elective

And he even said, If I don't take ENGL, what will I take for my other electives? I mean, it's common sense that I will continue to take ENGL, but it's only a matter of whether I take it as a major or minor! He sounded all smart-alecky and I HATE IT because he just thinks I am so stupid that I cannot make any decisions for myself. Why did you even bother putting me into university then? Since you think I'm OH SO DUMB!

Okay enough ranting. Cold war in progress. I started it anyway.

ECON!!!!

News of the Day: I GOT THE LETTER FROM ECON!!!! FINALLY! After nearly 1.5 months of waiting in agony and inpatience, I finally got the letter that says:

Congratulations. We are pleased to inform you that your application to the Majors/Combined Majors Program in Economics has been successful, and you are hereby offered admission to the program.

OMG I've been waiting for this for a whole year now. I can finally tell people I'm studying Economics in university, when they ask me "What are you studying?"

Now the hard decision: To double major or not? It's gonna be tough if I do.

Help me decide? Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Other than that, today has been another boring day. And sigh, business is dragging on for at least another month or something. Honestly HDB takes FOREVER to process things huh. Never mind if you dunno what I'm talking about.

Lalalala life is boring I can't wait to get back to UBC to start COOKING and uh, no, I don't look forward to going back to school but it'll be fun being around friends 24/7 and having fun and doing crazy things that you can't do in front of your parents.. Like toasting marshmallows in your room by the lamp.. Hahaha just looking at old photos... LOL...

Oh my gosh, what Hianez said in her recent blog entry is so true.. The best things in life are free... Yesterday and today are prime examples.. Yesterday I "had coffee" with Graham, at Starbucks without actually buying any drinks.. And today went on a crazy photo spree with Hianez, right in the heartland of the Sengkang estates..

She came to visit my minimart, and then around 6pm we proceeded to go to Compass Point.. But we dilly-dallyed around the neighbourhood, taking nice pictures of the flats.. That took nearly 20 minutes.. And then we saw the beautiful sunset from where we were, so we paused and spent another great deal of time snapping the interesting clouds.. It was like clouds, and sun rays, but we didn't know which.. So I called them cloud rays.. Very very breathtaking.. Slowly ambled to the mall, taking many other pictures, so it was 7pm by the time we reached Compass Point, which we could have easily spent 5 minutes to walk to..

We decided to have Burger King for dinner, since we were both sick of Kopitiam food.. I had Bacon Doubles burger.. Fries were nice! Drank barley, not gassy.. Very good.. And we were SOOOOOO damn full...

Walked around, Metro, Best, Minitoons, Action City (you know the latest bread sponge thingy? it's so ridiculous -_-) and finally Kiddy Palace, and that's where we spent another 20 minutes camwhoring with the cute little stuff toys.. Hehehe... OMG we took SO many pictures..

And I've uploaded them onto the computer and the Pentax has finally shown its better side, because most of the outdoor shots were pretty clear and I'm satisfied! Lovely sky quality which cannot be replicated on the BenQ, panoramic views of Sengkang's sunset.. Close up of the full moon.. Amazing...

Dinner with Graham

Oooh last night saw Debbie on webcam.. Hahaha breadmunching monster la her!!

And today was such a surprise.. Last night got a message from Graham from UBC, and he said he was in Singapore for a few days before going to Indonesia for his research... So I happily replied and I mixed him up with the other Graham at UBC, who's blind and has a seeing-eye dog. It wasn't until this morning that I realized my blur-queen-ness had overtaken my soul, and I just asked him to call me to confirm the time..

Go shop, cashier, play cat, new cam still sucks (bleh! shit now I regret).. Ate rice and stuff, but not full, so went to buy a bowl of Mr Bean's tauhuay and riceball.. Share with mama, damn full after that.. And then Graham called at 5pm and we were going to meet at 7pm at PS, so slack until 6+pm then MRT-ed there..

Met at Starbucks, then we went to walk around and find food.. End up at Kopitiam.. Since he's vegetarian, he didn't have many choices, end up he got Mee Rebus.. And I had kway chap!! =)

And then I forgot to bring water and didn't feel like buying drink at Kopitiam, wanted to find some place to sit and chat.. Wanted bubble tea but PS no bubble tea, so just went to Starbucks and sat outside.. Many free tables, so we just plonked down without buying any drinks and we managed to sit there and chat for a whole 1.5 hours!

We talked about my past year at UBC, and his research in Indonesia on orang-utans.. Very interesting, collecting poop and whatnot. Around 9:30pm we decided to leave cos he was tired, probably jetlagging..

Oh almost forgot to mention.. He's such a gentleman! He offered to and did walk me from Starbucks to the MRT station even though it was only walking through the shopping centre and he was walking back to the hostel from the Starbucks direction..

Day 1 of Pentax

Hooo so I got all worried last night about the Pentax camera not performing as well as the BenQ one, cos everything was all fuzzy.. But thanks to other experts I learnt to adjust ISO settings and things turned out much better.. Was almost regretting that I bought such a lousy camera.. But I guess it's fine..

Didn't sleep very well, woke up early to go work.. Took some pictures with the new cam.. Today Xiang Xiang's face had a bald patch, so poor thing!! Don't want to eat also la.. Dunno what's wrong..

Took pictures, new cam battery life quite sad.. Abit disappointed la.. But never mind lor.. Lunch ate Maggi curry noodles with chicken nuggets mmm.. Took a short nap too.. And took some pictures of cute kids who are regular customers!! =)

Work late, then come back, slack online.. Nothing interesting.. Shall go charge batteries for my camera!!

TNS Reunion

Alrighty I know I didn't blog yesterday =) But I guessed nobody missed me!!!

So, yesterday, Friday the 13th, I went for dinner with Tao Nan pals.. Only a handful turned up, but we had fun nevertheless!

People were almost ALL late! Alamak. I reached punctually at 7:45pm, at Orchard MRT, and a few minutes later, Yina found me. Then Ryan found us, and MAN! He's TALL. A giant! Super tall and skinny, reminds me of the Nutcracker..

Then waited quite long and Trevis came, then Peter.. (Or was it the other way round? Don't remember..) And after a freaking 45 minute wait, Augustine most dua pai one arrive SUPER LATE! Aiyohhhh.

So, we walked through town, deciding what to eat.. Wanted to eat at Paragon but had various opinions so walk somemore until end up saw Swensens then just eat there.. Queue wasn't that long, and we had an outdoor table.. Quite a refreshingly cool night..

Only got around to ordering around 9pm =_= super late la.. I ordered chicken baked rice.. The cheese was amazing but the chicken was dry.. Not good.. I forced everyone to take pictures.. LOL! Oh and Claudia joined us awhile later.. And then they all had ice cream but I was full..

And we sat around talking, about the most random things ever! Like seriously, I didn't get how we could talk about transexuals after not seeing each other for 10 years?!?! I guess it was good and it wasn't awkward like I thought it would be..

Finally left around 11+pm, and we hurried to the MRT station.. Missed a train and ended up taking the last train to Marina Bay.. I was so worried that I would miss my Punggol train, but end up it was fine.. Reached Kovan around 12am and got home around 12+.. Showered, then went to sleep, cos unexpectedly must work early the next morning.. Stupid staff love to pon work :@

Pentax!!!!

Hur hur. How many of you actually thought I got attached?

Anyway, today evening met Hianez again, who kindly accompanied me to the PC Show ONCE AGAIN! And I got myself the camera! Have decided firmly that I like this one...

And then I haven't tested it cos I'm waiting for mama to get home, so reviews later!

I just realised they gave me the wrong case; it's too big for my camera.. So I dunno how.. We'll see if I come up with a solution..

But I'm happy! I finally have a digital camera that is

1) 8+MP
2) Has panorama mode
3) Not too ugly
4) Not too slim nor bulky
5) Not too expensive

I'm actually quite picky.. To think I actually chose this!!

Oh yes, when we got to Suntec this evening, there was a Starhub motorbike, looks like giving out free ice cream.. We asked and they said 7pm. So I went to get the camera first, then we went to queue!

To get or not to get..

Aiiiiiyaaaaaaa.. What is this.. I slept at 1am and woke up at 8:30am!! Dreaming all night about the camera!!! I still want the Pentax one!! Only problem is the AA battery not enough, and charging is a problem...

I still like the 8.1 MP feature, and I want the panorama mode, and I guess the buttons are easy to use..

Ppl say I should buy a more branded one, but I've tried the other branded ones and they are not THAT excellent.. Hmmmm...

Arrrrrrgh!! I think I should just get the cam and be more diligent in charging the batteries???? Need to make the decision by TODAY!!! I hate making decisions~~~~ Especially under pressure..

PC Show 2008

Oooh my feet are tired. And it's after 12am now! And I got back home around 11pm! Haven't been out so late for a LOOOOOONG time..

So yes, the cat blogged last night while I was watching TV... Funny cat huh!

Slept at 12+, woke up at around 9:30am, toasted hotdog bun with peanut butter (no hotdog la!).. Then went to shower.. Wanted to go out at 11+am, but had to ask for money to go out and then end up Ppl happily yakking about what I should work as next time..

He thinks I should do government jobs.. Stable hours, not much work to do.. Suitable for lazy people like me.. He says, Not that I'm encouraging you to be lazy, but you should learn to maximize your weakness.. -.-!!! LOL~~ But he was in a good mood la, so that's not too bad.

End up go out at 12+ =_= Lunch was quite nice.. Oh yea, and the HDB people started work yesterday, upgrading the power supply thing.. So they continued today.. And the cat ran away.. And I found it a block away.. And it tried to bite me!! Eeeks. Crazy cat. Oh ya it's right hind leg is injured.. Must have gotten scratched..

Then around 6pm I went to take MRT... Met Shuyi while transferring train to City Hall!!! Hahaha so coincidential!! I NEVER bump into people on the streets okay.. And then met Hianez, and we went to the PC Show 2008 at Suntec..

Hello?? SONY is like blardy rich, half a floor all full of Sony products.. Promoters damn hardsell, wanna earn money only.. We saw some cameras.. Then got obsessed with mice, and then back to seeing cameras..

Bumped into Jieying (MFGG pal) working at Toshiba.. Haha!! And then we kept seeing camera.. Went to Level 6 and then saw Pentax camera.. Tried out some and Pentax actually had an affordable and good camera!! 8.1 MP, quite clear, lotsa freebies and only $199!

Sadly the only problem is the battery.. Uses AA battery, which takes freaking long to charge.. I no like.. So outta the question.. We went for dinner only at 8:30pm, ate grilled chicken rice.. Quite interesting.. And around 9+ walk walk Carrefour abit, then went home around 10pm.. Took us ages to walk to the MRT, so got home at 11pm..

Didn't take any pics today.. Was too busy collecting flyers. Seriously! It's such a non-environmentally friendly event.. Tons of flyers handed out, ripped up, dropped on the floor, trodden on, and so on.. They should at least have recycle bins!!! I've collected enough to perhaps make a book!!! Alamak...

Shiny nails

YAY! I finally bought my nail file/buffer.. My nails are glimmering now =)

So today got up early again, shower, then go shop... Ate Nutella and bread.. And then cashier, not too busy. I ate lunch at a record-breaking rate.. I think I eat too much.. Need to diet!!!

Evening I came back around 8pm+, bought my nail file and then came home, online, slack.. Can't watch TV yet cos it's still taping.. I'm gonna shower then watch one episode of my drama, then sleep! Or maybe watch both episodes (yesterday's and today's..)

Cannot wait to meet my primary school friends on Friday!! And PC show with Hianez on Thursday!!! I haven't gone out in..... like.... 10 days?!?!

Waking up early 2nd day in a row and working.. Okay okay la, nothing interesting.. Lunch was pretty good.

Oh yes, being the very non-cheena person that I am, I forgot to say Happy Dragonboat Festival yesterday! I only know it was called Duan Wu Jie and both me and Hianez forgot the English name, only know we eat dumplings (aka bazhang).. And then we called it Happy Dumplings Day or something.. Then today I looked at the calendar and it said right there.. LOL!! We both forgot about the boat part.. Alamak..

Oh, and after digging out my old toys, managed to make another keychain with a mini frying pan.. Still like my blender best!!

Love the weather today, it's getting HOT!!! No more cold moody afternoons!! YAY~~~ My little weather curse worked!!! So happy when I saw the sun come out today, after so many WEEKS of dark cloudy skies..
