Take Me Out to the Ballgame...

Cohen played coach pitch baseball again this year.  He had another great year, and had a fun time too.  I didn't end up taking very many pictures this season.  I don't know why...I just didn't.  But, here's a look at some the pictures I did get.

Cohen up to bat...

Running home...

More batting pictures...

Sliding home...

I don't think I got any pictures of him in the field, but he played 1st, 2nd, and 3rd a lot, and was really good at all of them.  Here's his team after their last tournament game at the end of the season...

And, a funny one--because they are 8-year-old boys...

Cohen had a great year!  Now he's on to real Little League next year!!  --Lindsay

Between Winter and Summer, Lies a Beautiful Spring

Here's a look at some random moments from our springtime.  The weekend that I went to St. George with my mom and sisters, Mike picked Viv up from school and took her to McDonald's for lunch.  p.s.  It was pajama day at school.  That's why my daughter is in her nightgown at McDonald's....

Then she hung out at work with Mike until her older brothers got home from school.  Again, in her pajamas...

Connor had a tough science test that he needed to ace in order to bring his grade up to an A.  Mike and I studied with him for hours the evening before in preparation for it.  He texted me to tell me he got a 98%, and then I got this text afterward.  It made my mama heart so happy...

Date night with Aiden.  A little mini bowling...

And then laser tag.  Where I kicked butt--naturally...

Our futures so bright, we got to wear shades...

Matching co-workers...

A rare nice day in March deserves an afternoon at the park...

Photo shoot at work...

My next door neighbor is the cutest.  She's always throwing little parties for the various holidays.  This was her St. Patrick's Day party that Vivvie was invited to...

Girls night out to Chick-Fil-A...

Our traditional Green Eggs and Ham for breakfast on St. Patrick's Day...

One day when I was working the morning show, and Mike was in charge of getting the kids ready and off to school, I found Vivvie wearing this.  Yep...animal print dress paired with animal print leggings.  When I asked Mike about his selection of clothing, he said, "Vivvie told me that she wears that outfit to school all the time."  I responded with, "And you believed her?!?"

A cool shot of me standing in the middle of Main Street in Downtown SLC at about 4:30 am after a night of rain.  This is seriously one of the coolest pictures ever.  I love it!  Photo courtesy my co-worker, Ron Bird...

Hiding under my rain jacket on another soggy morning...

Me with the morning crew...

I speak to a lot of schools about weather, but it's always more fun when one of my own kids is in the class I'm speaking to...

When you get called into work to cover a storm, but you don't know if they'll put you in the valley where it's raining or the mountains where it's snowing, you basically throw everything you own in the trunk of the car and hope it's enough...

I got sent to the mountains, in case you were wondering...

Girls night out to Beauty and the Beast...

And then to Costco afterward.  Girls gone wild...

Amy and I hiding underneath a broken umbrella...

Date night for ice cream with Connor, who looks 19 in this picture for some reason.  Stop growing up...

Severe weather coverage of 70+ mph winds that did damage in Traverse Mountain.  The wind blown look looks good on me, right?  Haha...

And in this edition of matching co-workers...

Vivvie and her friend, Juliet, having a picnic in her backyard...

Date night with Cohen to the Museum of Natural Curiosity...

I became an auntie again in April.  Meet Hazel Mae...

Selfies with Lila and Auntie LouLou...

Another umbrella pic.  This time indoors.  Tempting fate, are we?

Cohen got third place in the Pinewood Derby.  And, by that I mean, Mike got third place in the Pinewood Derby...

In early May, I had the opportunity to have brunch with one of my favorite co-workers ever.  Michelle King was the main anchor at my station for decades.  She was always so sweet to me, and was always a big support to me.  She retired 10 years ago, and I haven't seen her very much since.  It was so fun to get together with her, and catch up...

Pie Face fun...

In May, Aiden had the opportunity to go to Clear Creek Camp with the other 5th Graders...

I remember going to Clear Creek as a kid, and having a great time.  It's so fun that my kids get to experience some of the same things I experienced growing up.  Aiden had a blast with all his friends...

Speaking of Aiden and his friends.  His friend Dodge had a really cool birthday party at the Crista McAuliffe Space Education Center.  His mom sent me these pictures...

Beauty doesn't come easy, does it?

A promo shoot promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers.  It was shot on the University of Utah campus, so I made sure I wore my BYU blue...

I don't know about you, but I always try to wear heels and a dress to the ballpark.  Haha...

Speaking of baseball, Cohen got whacked pretty hard in the eye with a ball during one of the games.  His nose looked a little crooked, and he said that his vision out of that eye had a green tint to it.  So, we decided to take him to instacare.  Instacare sent us to the ER because the green tint to his vision was a sign that he might have internal bleeding behind the eye.  Luckily, he didn't.  And his nose wasn't broken either, so he just got to have a "fun" hospital experience for nothing...

More laser tag with Aiden...

Mom, Ashlee and I made strawberry freezer jam in May.  My neighbor had given me a huge pallet of strawberries, but they started to go moldy by the time we could make jam.  They were still usable, but we had to cut a lot off the strawberries.  But, you know what, that jam ended up being some of the best jam we've ever made!  So, the new motto is, "When life gives you moldy strawberries, make the best strawberry freezer jam ever!"

Vivvie did my hair.  What do you think?

A night around the fire pit...

My very own sleeping beauty...

Messy hair, don't care...

At the annual dance festival.  Aiden joined the Pirates of the Caribbean...

Vivvie went Surfin' USA...

And Cohen square danced the Boot Scootin' Boogie--in Great Grandpa Judkins hat...

TM 5K.  It was Vivvie's first time running the race.  Thankfully, kindergartners only run half the race.  Otherwise, I'm not sure if she would have made it.  Next year will be interesting.  Mike ran the 2.5K with Viv...

Cohen ran the 5K in 45 minutes, 3 seconds...

Mike and Vivvie ran the 2.5K in 30 minutes, 12 seconds...

And Aiden ran the 5K in 46 minutes, 28 seconds...

I think the 90+ degree heat slowed everyone down a little this year.  But, I just think it's impressive that they did it at all.  I took pictures--because we all have our own talents...

Last year, Aiden and Cohen talked us into taking them McDonald's on the last full day of school.  Apparently, it is now a tradition that must be carried on until the end of time...

Happy springtime!  I love spring.  It's a wild, crazy time of year.  --Lindsay
