sweet harte & sis

If it is soft and stuffed Bella is bound to get it. There is the one winged duckie, armless flower friend (this one made me cry), earless goaty guy and the half a hug teddy. And these are the ones that survived. Poor Harte, all I buy her now are Bella proof toys...she is destined to live in a world of plastics. While other 4 yr old friends will be hugging their dollies in bed, Harte will be cozying up to Mr. Potatoe head at night.

Harte, Long Neck Suzy and Crazy Monkey Joe. She now likes to lay on her back, hold each guy in a hand and do a sit up motion. Now if only mommy could work her abs like that!



Shake what you've got. Nothing like being neked with a maraca (Mathew McConahey style...bongos, maracas...they all provide a great ethnic beat). And yes, I know, not quite an age appropriate toy when she wacks herself in the head but I just can't seem to take it away from her.

We had a birthday trip for Josh to Charleston, SC. Please tell me why they say babies sleep in the car??? We went to an amazing dinner at High Cotton. It was the first time I had worn high heels and had a good buzz in a long time (kind of like Homecoming Dance circa 1994!). Good thing I had the stroller to keep me sturdy. We had some pool time and good r & r. Harte had a blast too...got to love playing on the floor of a hotel room with no doggie coming around to lick the back of your head.

Every now and then I get these 'you know you're old when' moments like when I've caught myself saying, "that restaurant is too noisy" or when you are singing to the song they are playing in the market while you're in the cereal isle. Well in Charleston we took pictures of paint colors we like and that definitely makes us old!

Our California trip couldn't have been any more perfect.
