ROCKS.....i just realized this year that you can buy fireworks at our local market. No beer is sold on Sundays, but fireworks, no problem. Yes, that's right, I'll take the toilet paper, frozen peas and how about some bottle rockets to go. And of course I could not resist. So at my friends 4th bbq the parents of the 2year olds were like, 'you can thank miss jenny for introducing you to fireworks." I mean hello, we all knew we'd be home inside the house by 7:30pm, so we had to have a little fun.
And yes, we did have a red, white and blue outfit theme week. Just an excuse to use all the cute hairbows aunti sent.
We went to a block parade with our playgroup buds and followed the local firetruck down the street. Here is Harte and Ellie sharing a wagon ride. And our buddies Jackson and Owen in the boys wagon. And of course cute little Claire with mommy
Annie. A fun day that had us rushed inside after dinner when the winds turned and a storm hit us. As if we would have been up for the fireworks. I am thinking maybe 2010 will be the year we actually venture somewhere to watch them downtown. I do miss the summer days of walking down to the beach and plopping down on the blanket to watch the works over the ocean.
