Christmas

Thank you for free Amazon Prime.  Christmas was easy peasy this year.

We had our annual ginger bread house making fun.  Kade is giving his best cheese!
Jay & Melissa and cute baby bump.
Snyders

Braden & Angie
kiddos
We spent Christmas in Vernal.  It was great waking up and relaxing at my mom's.  Well after we filled every single toy with a bazillion batteries.  It was a remote filled Christmas this year.  My mom made a big breakfast while the kids played with everything.
I swear she's happy to get this thing.  She asked for it in August and never forgot.  Good thing it was still available.

Here is Mike showing Colin how to fly his helicopter.  Colin received some legos and he said "Dad we have work to do"  Ha he meant Mike has work to do.

Christmas was a blast, but the following 3 weeks was filled with sickness.
Colin got Pnemonia
Kade got an ear infection
Steph got bronchitis & sinus infection.  The fever lasted 8 days.
Mike prob bronchitis & sinus infection.
Annelise nada.  I guess school has paid off and boosted her immune system.
We started the year off relearning healthy habits.  The kids share the new job of clorox wiping all the door knobs and we are fanatic about washing hands.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was spent in Vernal.  It is always so fun to be with cousins.  We spent Thanksgiving with Danielle's family.  I really need to get pictures when we are there.
There was a mishap.  I made banana pudding and left it on the porch, because the fridge was full of other fixings.  When Dylan & Braden came back from duck hunting they said they chased a dog away from my dessert.  It was demolished, Mike was mad.  I was too, those pepperidge farm cookies are not cheap.

A funny story was when the boys went hunting colin observed the boys with guns, and a dog.  He asked "Are they going to shoot that dog"  He didn't know the dog was going to do all the work for them.  City kids.

The only photos I have are the following day at Holly Days:
We went to the western park and played on the free bounce house.
Colin got in one of those balls that you run on the water.  We waited in line for about an hour.  He did say it was his favorite part.

Saturday we hooked up with Ross and went to the Dinosaur Museum.  This is the last year Annelise is free.  I can't complain not to many activities lets kids 6 and under in free.  It was good while it lasted.

Annelise was recreating the Statue of Liberty

Saturday night we had my family dinner at my mom's.  It was fun until 9:45pm, and Kade decided to jump off the bed and hit his head on the window seal.  We headed to the ER and he got 6 stitches.  The ER doctor was Dr. Nielson, he has given me 2 sets of stitches and Mike got 2 from him too.  We knew we were in good hands.  Our pediatrician said it looked amazing.

Here he is a day after she removed the stitches.  Handsome little fella.

Bunion no beuno

I have Reay feet.  Ive had bunions for awhile, but this thing started hurting this summer.  I decided to get it looked at and fixed.
Surgery was November 8th
I had to use the ice machine and compression machine for 3 days.  I stayed off it for 5 days.
My mom came to keep kids while mike went with me to surgery.  Then she hung out a few days and cooked my fav chicken noodle soup.
Delicious.
Mike & Colin showed up with beautiful yellow flowers that lasted forever.
I was visited by a mission companion Sister E and fantastic friends.  We got 4 amazing dinners.  I was on the receiving side of service, and it felt sweet.

The next month I wore a big black boot.  If I had to choose a worst thing, it would be after the boot because I had trained myself to walk on the outside of my foot.  I guess I got tendonitis from trying to correct my walk.  My toe never did hurt, itchy yes but not hurt. Next was ALWAYS wearing good shoes.  Thats trickier than you think.  It was hard not to jump up to grab something out of the fridge.

Here's a picture after week one
yucky
still wearing wide shoes but I ran 15 miles on it on Saturday and it felt great!

halloween

Here comes the Marathon of pictures from the 4 busiest months with holidays and such.
Halloween

school parade
After the parade we headed to Mrs. Vuyk's class for the party.
I was in charge of a game.  I let the kids pumpkin bowl.  We used a small pumpkin and rolled it towards rolls of toilet paper stacked up that had ghost faces drawn on them.  I stamped their hands and they loved that.

We took advantage of the best part of school, RECESS!  Kade was smothered by the girls, I didn't hear any complaints though.

We headed to Snyder's neighborhood to run the streets of Sandy.  I say that, because that's how fast they were.

These photos were on my phone and Kade's babysitter is an iPhone5.  Im so sad that Kade deleted the group photo with Colin and Cam.  It was adorable.  Cam was Indiana Jones.
Colin was swamp fire from Ben 10.  Yeah we didn't know who that was either.  Luckily its not to popular so $12 on party city website.

Halloween was super fun.  The weather was fantastic, and the kids were polite.  It was very fun!

Mike & I went to a Murder Mystery Dinner.  Always fun.

Colin turned 5 waaaa!

Yep October 28th came fast for me.
Colin is now 5!!
His birthday was on a Monday and when he woke up Tuesday, he expected to be riding the bus to school because he had turned 5.  He was very disappointed.  He's been bored with me and Kade.
Grandma & Grandpa came to town and took us to Lagoon!  It was Frightmares and Colin loves that kinda spooky stuff.  I think it's because he has an October birthday, and when he sees all the Halloween stores poppin up he knows bday is soon approaching.  He loves those stores.
Frightmares had a spider scale to determine how scary the haunted houses were.  We went thru a 5 spider (too scary for kids) haunted house.  Annelise cried and was carried by Grandpa.  Colin loved it and smiled.
love Kade's face.

In the car ride home, Mike loves to say "his favorite ride of the day, is the car ride home"  Not me I love roller coasters.

Birthday cake time!
He's got a contagious smile and laugh.  I can't be serious when Colin is being goofy, no matter how bad I try.
Presents

We gave him a skateboard and pads.  Grandpa Slater sent cash and he choose legos.  Grandma & Grandpa Webb gave him a bat rack that Lane made.
Awesome!

He came to us cute!

Colin..

Hee Haw Farms

We heard about Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove from my friend Kristina.  Its a pumpkin patch/activity place .  It was really cute with lots of fun activities for the kiddos, but the pumpkin patch was a big disappointment.
super fun train ride around the farm
bag toss game.  My kids didn't really stand very far away so I'm not sure if they were any good at it.
The fun slide that Colin never wanted to leave.  Kade was brave enough to go down alone but it was scary with all the kids going down at the same time.  I don't think he would have been able to get off at the bottom without being taken out by another slider.  Next year he will be ready.
They let you get in with the goats and pet them.  My kids were loving it.
Tire swings that looked like tractors.   They were cute but not easy to work so they didn't play on them very long.
cutest faces ever!
A hayride to the pumpkin patch.  Along the path, they have people dressed up in costumes throwing candy into the wagon.  It was a great idea and we all love it.
When we got off the wagon is when the fun ended.  We should have noticed we were the only family getting off the wagon.  The pumpkin patch was horrible.  We decided to let the kids stay 15 more minutes and head to Riverton's Pumpkin patch, it was much better.

see what I mean?  Mike is all business when it comes to getting the pumpkins.  Annelise and Kade are still enjoying lollies from Hee Haw.
It was a super fun night.  I'm so glad Mike had the day off so we could beat the traffic and make it to 2 patches in one evening.
Happy Pumpkin Search!
