Cyber Monday Sale for CTMH

For those of you who may not know I am a Close to My Heart consultant. I love their stamps and papers! If you have not checked it out, go to my website at www.lesliesyme.myctmh.com to check out the catalog, make a purchase or look at online classes.

Anyway, the reason that I am posting is that I am having a Cyber Monday Sale. Get 15% rebate in CTMH products from me. So if you spend $50, you get to choose an extra $7.50 worth of stuff on me. If you place an order on my website, then email me what you want. I will ship it to you if you place an online order separately. If you want me to place the order include it and it will be shipped with your order.

This is a great idea for any scrapbooker/cardmaker/crafter! If you want one of the new catalogs email me at leslie_syme@yahoo.com

Don't forget that items that are featured in the Art and Soul online classes are available at a 20% discount! I just watched some of these short programs (between 3 and 8 minutes) yesterday and they are so neat!

I would appreciate any help because if I do not make my minimum by the end of the month I will drop as a consultant. I don't want that to happen and usually I would spend the money myself, but I just don't have it this month, so thanks for any help! I usually don't have to worry about it, but since I'm not going to Utah, when I normally do parties, it is hurting my sales.

Hope everyone had a safe Black Friday if you went out. I'm so glad that we stayed home! Did you hear of the Walmart worker who was killed by the crowd trampling him? Yeah, that was the Walmart closest to us. I use that one when I have to, but there is a much nicer one by JD's work, which is more than an hour away. I try to go there when we are up that way to pick up JD. There were also people hurt at that one! Crazy. It is so sad that someone's life was taken by people trying to save a little money.

Twilight and our date

So the movie was good. It was not the GREAT movie that I had hoped for, but hopefully each one will get better.

JD and I had a nice day together. It just went too fast! We got the majority of the Christmas shopping done, so that is nice. Other than picking up a few more things for other people we are done! Now, we can concentrate on getting other things done, like more portfolios going out.

Can't wait to see the movie tomorrow!

I can't wait for tomorrow to go see Twilight. We have a church thing tonight otherwise we would be seeing it tonight! We are going to go see it in the afternoon, then do a little Christmas shopping and dinner. I'm excited for Twilight and a date with JD. We have not been out since my birthday.

Joy School Thanksgiving Day

Today was the Thanksgiving Day for Joy School. We made pilgrim hats, corn bread and turkeys (made from apples, raisins, craisins, and marshmallows). The kids had fun.

I have not been posting much lately because we have been busy! JD has been working on art, I have been working on Christmas cards, and we have started getting portfolios out again. Another year of sending them out. Hopefully, it will be worth it this year. Especially if we got the Westminster job in Utah!

Sick and Miah's first "BIG" girl sleep over

All of us have been sick. I think we are sick from going and going this past week, not getting home until 2:15 am on Monday night/Tuesday morning, and having the temperatures go up and down. What happened to me that I am exhausted at 2:15 am???? JD and I joke about how when we were friends and Laura ( one of my roommates at USU) went to work at 4 am we will still up talking. I guess this is what it is like to have two kids and be 30! Yes, I'm still having a hard time with being 30!

Miah had her first big girl sleep over tonight. I hope it didn't get her expectations too high that every sleepover will be like this. Martha and Dennis picked Lily and friends up from school in a limo. Miah wanted to see Lily's school, so she went along in the "biggest car I've ever seen". She was really funny about it. Then they dropped off stuff for the slumber party, picked up several more girls and went to a hibachi restaurant. Martha and Dennis said she was so funny watching the guy cutting the food and throwing it around. Now, she is upstairs sleeping with the big girls along with all the other birthday slumber party things like makeup, etc. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow. My little girl is getting "BIG"! First limo ride and a dinner in NYC (without us).

Back from Upstate NY

Isaac and Miah in front of the Christus at the Hill Cumorah Visitor's Center
Miah and Isaac taking a stroll in the Sacred Grove
Leslie, Isaac, JD, and Miah on our way into the Sacred Grove
Isaac and Miah in the Smith Cabin where Moroni would have visited Joseph Smith

Just thought I would let everyone know that we are back from upstate NY and JD's interview! All went relatively well except for the tire blowout on the interstate while going to his interview. Luckily we allowed plenty of time and got there with time to spare.

JD felt really good about the interview. It is for a pool of teachers that they like to interview before hand, then when something opens up they already have people to choose from. So we really don't know when we would ever hear from them, but it does feel good to have the first interview done. JD said that the committee members were all very encouraging to him and were trying to give him ideas of how to get some experience and how to make a career. One man told him that he did adjunct jobs at different schools for 5 years before getting on full time. It is nice to hear things like that and that we need not feel too discouraged.

We just are going to keep plugging along and see where things take us. I just hope that Heavenly Father needs us somewhere special and soon. I worry about where we will put Miah in school next year.

Thanks to the Colliers for having us in their home! We appreciate it! It was also nice to see Palmyra again. I love it there. It is such a neat, sacred place. It was also great to get out of the city!
