Stale Bread

We wanted to enjoy our last nice day before the cold hit so we went to Sugarhouse Park on Sunday afternoon. We brought along some stale bread to feed the birds too.
I thought for sure Cam would be a little scared with those crazy, man eating birds surrounding his little hand holding their food. Nope. He LOVED them. He also loved picking up the pieces he would "throw" (the way he says it is sooo cute) and try to eat them. GROSS!! Bird poop everywhere. We had to keep a good eye on him.
After the bread was gone we had to leave. No walking around with him. Unless of course we swam. He loved the water and would not walk anywhere other than on the ledge.

Winco

I had the joys of experiencing Winco yesterday! I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. I hate the commercials...the stupid faces the people make drives me crazy. I am going to start changing the channel as soon as I hear the song..."Winco...do do do..."

Big Jar Jif peanut butter - 2.48
Apple Jacks - 2.95
General Mill cereal (select) - 1.78
Huge Ragu Spaghetti sauce - 2.95
Milk - 1.48
Grandma Sycamore bread - 1.28

Those were just some of my finds. The baby food was cheap. Ice cream cheap. The meat area was so busy, I didn't attempt it. You also have to bag all your own stuff.
It was a drive and somewhere obviously not convenient to go often, but was fun. I hope they open one close by!

Here is Cam helping me put the groceries away. He pulled the can out, and put them back in the bag about...3 times. It was nice while I actually put stuff away. Nice little helper!

Quiet Time

I was doing my hair the other day and asked Cam to play somewhere else so I wouldn't have to constantly ask him to close the drawer, don't pull on the toilet paper, don't touch the toilet, don't fall in the tub...Get my drift?
After I was finished, all of 6 minutes, I hear NOTHING!
I go in the living room and this is what I find...
Cam got in his diaper bag, pulled out his dried fruit snacks, dumped the bag and was chowing down!
So cute! He did exactly what mom asked him plus a mess!

Pumpkin Patch, Waterfalls and Oprah

A little late with these pictures but...
On Saturday we took Cam on his first hayride to a Pumpkin Patch! We had a blast. Everyone in the area needs to go to this one. You go on a hayride, pick your pumpkin (out of a zillion) and ride back. Sounds like a normal pumpkin patch right? Well this one is FREE! Even the pumpkin! (1 per person) It is at J and J Nursery in Layton. Check it out. They only do it the next 3 Saturday's from 10 -4. http://www.jjnursery.com/

Here are some pics from that trip. You can see there was something on my lens, in every picture there is a blur at the top. Maybe it was a ghost!!! (nope, just a fuzz ball that was discovered after)

His cute hair and forehead were cut out of this one, but I couldn't resist posting that smile. This is how he looks when he says "CHEEESE" for a picture.
Cute little Aaron picking his pumpkin

On Sunday we went for a drive up Ogden Canyon. I have been wanting to go since Studio 5 said it was # 1 to visit for the fall colors. I am so glad we went. It was gorgeous! I didn't get any pictures of the foliage because it was pouring rain : (
On our way out of the canyon we saw this! I am so glad we decided to go back the way we came rather then going through the other cities. We completely missed this on the way up.

Yesterday on Oprah there was a great story of a women in Provo that survived a plane crash a year ago. She was amazing! I am so glad I was able to see her story. I really needed it yesterday. I was so frustrated with my responsibilities at home and feeling sorry for myself. Seeing this women tell her story and experiences made me so grateful for my life. For my Heavenly Father. For the gospel. For my "chores". For my wonderful husband and precious baby.

Check out her blog! http://nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/
There is a link on her latest post to direct you to the story on Oprah's website.

I love to walk!

For a while now, Cam would pull himself up on the furniture and walk while holding on to them, so I thought for sure he would be walking soon after he turned 1. Nope! Little stinker just took his sweet ol' time. He became more brave 2 weeks ago and would take a step every once in a while. Then he became more willing to hold our hands and walk.

Then a week ago he officially started walking! Now he won't stop. I was getting a little worried about him, seeing he was almost 14 months and still lacked the skill.

The next obstacle was to get him to put shoes on! He would always curl his toes up! I have never been big on putting him in shoes. Last winter he was a little baby, and summer, well you know, who needs shoes?! I found that I was trying to shove his poor little foot in a shoe too small. I took him to get sized and he is actually a 5. Opps! Sorry love! I guess matching the bottom of his foot up to the sole of a shoe is not actually "sizing".

Today, while running errands, I parked far away so he could experience walking into the store. He loved it. He waved to every single person he saw and screamed HI while waving. He was a bit mad at me for putting him in the cart. I cannot carry his 27 pound body for long!

Here are some cute videos of him walking. He loves to throw things...as you will see. He is saying "throw" if you can tell in the first video.
