Pumpkin Carving

Earlier this week we went over to Scott's parents to carve some pumpkins.
Every year Lady gets cookies for the grandkids to decorate. Cam loved doing them this year and sure had no problem gobbling them up.

Then came the time to carve pumpkins. Cam is a bit of a clean freak and hates his hands to be dirty, so looking at the pumpkin guts was enough for him. He wouldn't touch it. He kept saying, "Ewwww Gross!!"

So he just played around with a pen and colored on one while we did all the dirty work.

Scott's is the U, Cam's the silly face and mine is the owl missing his left ear!

Pre-Halloween Fun

Today we headed to my work, Selecthealth, to do a little trick-or-treating.
We met up with Alesia and the kids and started the day. Cam got way too much candy and is on a sugar high. "Real" trick-or-treating tomorrow should be interesting!

Princess Aurora and Mr. Fireman

On our way home, after visiting Scott at work downtown, we drove by a parking lot full of police cars and fire trucks and saw kids trick-or-treating. We couldn't pass up the opportunity, so we stopped.
I am so glad we did. It was so fun and Cam loved seeing all the equipment up close. He absolutely LOVES fire trucks and asks to see one every time we drive in the car. His costume definitely made him fit in here, they could have mistaken him for the real thing!

Lady grew up with a police dog in her home all her life, so she was really excited to see the K-9 unit.

The firemen were so nice to Cam and let him go up to the ladder.
I'm sure it's because of his costume.

He got on the motorcycle and hit the siren. It scared him a little, it was loud!

I love this picture. It just shows how happy Cam was to be there. He is usually pretty shy around people he doesn't know but he went up to everyone with no fear. He was even passed up to a fireman at the top of the truck and I thought for sure he would be crying to come down to me, but he didn't. I don't think he cared I wasn't by him. He was so happy!

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday night we headed to the pumpkin patch nearby to pick out some good carving pumpkins!
Cam LOVES pumpkins and has to talk to them each time we are at the grocery store.
He was in heaven here, because there were pumpkins all over!

Cam picked up every pumpkin he could and threw it in the wheel barrel. Watching him lift them and say, "Hiiiivey!" was so fun.

There were a couple horses behind the pumpkin patch that Cam enjoyed too. He loves horses, but when they get this close, he gets nervous. He was actually brave enough to pet this one a few times though.

We got Cam a couple pumpkins to carve, but he was most excited about this "baby punkin" the most.

We carved one last night...pictures to come!

Snowbird Tram ride

On Saturday afternoon we headed up to Snowbird to go on the tram ride...for free! They were having a food drive, if you brought a can of food you got a free ticket to ride the tram. I hear they are doing it again this weekend if you are looking for something fun and cheap to do.  It was definitely worth it and I am so glad we went.

Mom, this is for you. This is the tram and the ride we took to the top of the mountain! You would have freaked!!
.The drive up the canyon was awesome. The fall colors were breathtaking.
Scott took his GMAT Saturday, so he wasn't able to come with us. I was able to meet up with some friends from work though and have Scott's family come.

We got there at around 11:00 and didn't have too long of a wait.

Here we are at the very top!

It was so pretty. I love living in Utah being surrounded by these beautiful mountains.

After, we went to lunch at Hires. Cam got a special treat and enjoyed it to the last drop.

These pictures got a little out of order, but here is Cam getting ready to go on the tram. He was pretty excited.

Thanks to everyone that met up and was able to go. Melanie, Sorry I didn't get a picture of your family!

10

Cam has learned to count to 10! He can also count to 5 in Spanish. I tried getting it on video for my mom, but he got a little camera shy at the end, so I had him count his toes while he sat on my lap.

Cam amazes me everyday with the things he learns. He loves to count, practice the alphabet (he knows all his letters thanks to Grandma T and her birthday present!) and knows all his shapes. Hearing him say "Ocgon" is my favorite!
He is not into learning his colors like these things, so we are still working at that. Right now, everything is either blue or red.

Cornbelly's 2010

A local radio station was offering discounted tickets to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point last weekend. We had never been and thought it was too good of a deal to pass up. We were only expecting a corn maze and pumpkin patch but was pleasantly surprised to see a TON of things to do. Cam loved every activity they had. It was such a hot day too. Sweating in October shouldn't be allowed!

They had a super old firetruck, helmets and all, for the kids to get in.
They had a fun slide that Cam would not leave. He loves to climb and pretty much skipped over the stairs to get on these ropes.

The slide whips you down fast! Cam eventually did it on his own, and his face was priceless as he flew down 100 mph.

They had a rubber ducky race. Cam was soaked on the front side after this.

A fun little hayride with Grandma and Grandpa.

There was a huge sandbox full of corn kernels. Cam thoroughly enjoyed this!

Waiting for lunch!

As we were leaving we let him pick out his first pumpkin. He was so excited. It is sitting on our porch now and he says "Hi pumpkin, Bye pumpkin!" every time we pass it.

All this fun for $3.93. Can't beat it!
