My son needs a dog.

This morning I was sleepily complaining that I need to train my baby to sleep through the night.

Eli jumped up from the table, grabbed some cheerios, and said, "I can train her."

Holding cheerios above her head, he said, "Speak. Glory. Speak."

Life with Girls

Hope and Grace were discussing what they wore to school today.
Hope says, "Don't I look cute? I found this in my drawer and I haven't worn it in awhile."

Graces reply, "It doesn't matter what you wear as long as it's a good hair day."

Spoken like a true tween.

By the way.
Glory Girl is feeling sooooo much better.

Busy?

Hope called her friend last night, squealed, and handed me the phone, "Mom! It's doing something weird!"
Really, Hope, in this fast paced society when everyone has call waiting, caller ID, cell phones, texting, voice mail, and answering machines you have never heard a busy signal?

This one is for Val who has been potty training something fierce. (Not saying Layla is fierce.)
Eli said to me (2 days after he heard this from Val) Mom I didn't pee in my underwear all day so can you take me to Arctic Circle to get an ice cream? (It took him 2 days to be able to say this.)

And finally, the reason my eyes are glazed over from lack of sleep.

Joy's Toy's

This year we donated Joy's Toy's to Candy Cane Corner. It is a place where less fortunate families can pick Christmas gifts. It is sponsored by several charities and it is local. We really enjoyed picking out her gifts. It's really hard to think about her getting older. We had to get Dora slippers. She may have grown out of her Dora phase by now, but I don't think WE ever will.

Have a Merry Christmas and thanks to all those who donated toys in honor of Joy. We love it when she is remembered.

Grief is OK-even for Mormons

I read this article today

The author talks about how people sometimes dismiss the loss of our loved ones because our religion teaches that we will see them again. I loved that he validates our grief and uses President Hinckley as an example.
Great article.
