Yesterday Troy and I had our ultrasound and found out that we are having a little boy Brown. We are so excited about it, and I can't wait to finally do some shopping!

NYC

This post is far past due, but honestly I am just glad that I am getting it done. The Brown girls always do an annual New York trip in return for the boys going on the annual deer hunt. This is a time of year that I thoroughly look forward to. This year since my parents are serving a mission in New York, I jumped on the opportunity to go and visit them before meeting the Browns for girls weekend. It was so good to see my parents in their missionary role. They are doing an amazing job. We had a fun time going to see the beautiful country that they are serving in, going on morning walks, and I even got to go on a couple of visits with them, which was a special treat. On Wednesday (their p-day), they rode the train with me into the city, and we got to do some shopping and touring before we met up with the girls. Thanks Mom and Dad for such a wonderful time, I truly enjoyed my time with you two.

Wednesday night is when girls weekend started, and as always it was a trip to remember. First and foremost we shopped, shopped and shopped some more. How can you not when you are in NYC? One day we got up early to try and get into the Kelly and Regis show. Unfortunately, we did not have any luck with that, but next year we have a plan of action mapped out. We also went to see two Broadway shows. The first one we saw was Billy Elliott, which was released the night that we went. It was an ok show, not my favorite, but Broadway is simply amazing. The other show we saw was a guaranteed success, Wicked. It was the third time that I have seen it and it gets better every time. Finally, WE ATE! Troy's sister Celeste lives in New York and always knows the best spots for EVERYTHING. A special thanks to Celeste for all of her help. All in all NY treated me well this year.

I only got one picture while I was with my parents. This is with my dad at the top of the Empire State Building.
In line at the Kelly and Regis show. Such a fun bunch! (Celeste, Me, Erica, Chelsea, Momma B, and Rachel)

Three to Be...

Yes, it's true! We are announcing our first little one to join our family!
Teri is currently 14 weeks along. That means the baby is about the size of your fist.
Stay tuned for more updates. We find out if its a girl or boy next month!
Teri has been experiencing pregnancy with her poka-dot throw up bowl as her friend.
Her tummy has just the slightest bump, it looks like she has a seven pack!
Pretty much anything but saltines makes her gag, here is a list of things I can cook to
Make her urup:

Chicken - any kind, actually just meat, poultry, or fish will do the trick
Cafe Rio - Sadly our friday night dates are now spent at Bajio. I feel like the Seinfeld when George gets banished to the other restaurant "Reggies" and there is no "Big Salad"
Garlic - anything garlic, even my garlic underwear.
My Breath - Sometimes all I get is a tightly clinched lip kiss to guard against any possible infiltration!

Sometimes I ask Teri, "I will drive anywhere between here and Salt Lake, and get you
anything you want from any place of your choice" and she'll reply with...a gag. I now
often do the cooking...it's actually not that hard (thats what she said). I hate watching my girl ralph.
She does is so gracefully I must admit. However there are times when I've had nightmare's that a
T-rex in our house, but then I wake up and Teri is hugging the porcelain real tight like a good buddy.

All in all we are excited as new future parents could possibly be. The baby is healthy, and all things are in place.

Halloween

Here are a few pictures of our Halloween weekend. We had a fun time seeing our little nieces and nephews all dressed up. They are too cute. I dressed up as a bee, and Troy was my bee keeper. It was a fun weekend.

Picture 1: Abby as a witch after trick-or-treating in the rain
Picture 2: Will was a fire fighter
Picture 3: Troy and I in our costumes (Troy made my costume completely from scratch, not too shabby!) *Notice the stinger!
Picture 4: Halloween with friends Grant and Britt. Their costumes were seriously awesome!

Happy Bird Day Troy

Saturday was Troy's 24th birthday. We got to spend the entire day together and we had a ton of fun. Breakfast in bed, movies until 2, Cabelas for 3.5 hours, dinner at Magelbees, and then pumpkin carving and dessert with friends. I really am so grateful for this wonderful man. He truly makes me the happiest girl in the world.

Ten things I love about Troy:

10. He is not afraid to watch a good chick flick
9. He is an incredibly hard worker
8. He loves to be active and try new things
7. He is quick to forgive and forget
6. He is a mans man with a soft heart
5. He plays the stupid games with me that I make up
4. He is a worthy priesthood holder and fulfills his callings in the church
3. He has the greatest laugh. You can't not laugh with him
2. He makes me laugh really really hard
1. He is the most thoughtful and caring person you will ever meet

I love you Troy Happy Birthday!!

The Bourque

We went to go visit Troy's family in Albuquerque two weekends ago. We were really excited because it just so happened that it was also the last weekend of the Balloon Fiesta, which is a really neat event. They have hundreds of hot air balloons in different colors and shapes that they blow up and fly. It is really pretty! You have to allow yourself plenty of time to get there because it is quite the event in the city and there is a lot of traffic. So we all woke up at 4:30 am, got ourselves ready, and headed down to a ward breakfast that started at 6:00 am. The breakfast was in a parking lot close to the balloon park so we could just walk down there. Right as we had stuffed our bellies and were on our way to the park, the radio announced that it was canceled because it was too windy. Total disappointment. So we got back into the car and headed back to the house, and literally drowned our sorrows in the Brown's amazing 90 degree pool and hot tub. It really is quite luxurious. We had a lot of fun that weekend with lots and lots of good food, a visit to the dinosaur museum, more swimming, good laughs and great company. The only pictures that we got are of Troy holding a snake at the museum. Our little nephew Austin's face is priceless in the second picture.

Where Going Back to Cali

A couple of weekends ago Troy and I decided at the LAST minute to go visit my sister Stacey and her little family in California. My other sister Stephanie called us at the beginning of the week to inform us that they were going down for the weekend, and try to persuade us to come. This was not too difficult to do considering our special love for California, and family of course. We took off Thursday afternoon and got there Thursday night. Friday we hit up the beach and the boys went boogie boarding in the freezing water (they are die hards). Us girls sat on the beach and watched and had our precious girl time. We had so much fun that weekend with another trip to the beach (just the boys), lunch at the park, and even a night out on the town while the kiddies had a babysitter. We really miss having both the Conley's and the Bakers so close, we really have the greatest time with them both. Thanks Stacey, Jon, and Hayley for letting us come and stay with you and feeding us too well. I stole some they pictures from
Stacey's blog because my camera died. We love you guys.

The triple threat back in action!

NY North Mission, Here they Come!

My parents got into town about a week ago, and entered the MTC this past Monday. We have been so lucky to be able to have them stay with us during that time. It has been so fun to hear about their day when they get home in the evenings and have dinner with them. I am so excited for my parents and this opportunity. I know that they are going to be the most amazing missionaries. They are such wonderful people, and I have always appreciated the example that they have lead by. Best of wishes to the both of you, and we will all miss you dearly (and then some).... Don't worry will come to visit. Much love!

Home again Home again Jiggity JOg

If I had one word to describe the last couple of weeks it would be: CRAZY. I went to Seattle the week before we left DC to visit my parents. My sister Stephanie and her two boys where there, and I got to spend time with Brian and Erin and their cute girls as well. It was a great trip home and I really was glad to be able to go. The day I got back, I put in my last day of work at Bath and Body Works (I kind of miss it there), packed up our apartment, and cleaned the house. We left the next morning with a 32 hour drive ahead of us back to Utah. It is such a satisfying feeling leaving knowing you survived yet another summer of summer sales. We pulled into Provo at 11:00 pm Sunday night, and were kind of feeling like we wanted to turn the car back around and go back to DC (kind of funny how that works). We spent the next three days moving into our new place and figuring out school, and then left for Lake Powell with Troy's family on Thursday morning. We had such a great time with everyone, and it was a perfect end to the summer. I now officially coin Lake Powell to be one of the most relaxing vacations possible. We jet skied, wake boarded, tubed, swam, fished, laughed, ate ALOT, and simply had a fabulous time. We got back last night, slightly depressed, but ready to take on the school year ahead of us. Here are a few random pictures:

New York New York

We finally made it to New York this weekend. We only live about three and a half hours from NY, and have been wanting to go visit Celeste and Tage (Troy's sister and brother-in-law), and play in the city. We took off after work on Saturday, and had a fun day going to church in Harlem, brunch at Norma's, shopping, an evening walk in Central Park, and dinner with Celeste and Tage. We always have such a fun time with them. I was proud of Troy's driving in the city. We usually take the subway around the city because it is easier, but this time, we drove most places. Although I had to close my eyes for a lot of the time, Troy handles the New Yorkers pretty well. It was a short trip, but we were glad to be able to make it up there before the summer ended. Here are a few pictures of the Central Park Gardens that we took. Enjoy!

August 19th

I can't believe two years has already gone by since we have been married. It truly has been the best time of my life. We celebrated our anniversary yesterday by going to dinner (Ruth's Chris) of course, a favorite. Followed by a couples massage. We both agreed that it was the best massage we have ever had, even though we were both near tears for 90% of the massage. I just want to say that I married the sweetest, most considerate, hansom, hilarious, and fun man in this world. He truly is the man of my dreams...I might be slightly bias.

The one picture that we took last night after all of our celebrating. We both were a little beat after our massages.

Almost Done!

This is Troy writing. It is my first "post". Yep, i'm posten' up. I figured i'd find an image that displays my feelings. I am beat, I feel like i am a running in sand. Three summers of knocking doors = 3 full year honorable chinese torture. Provo sounds like a place where the beer flows like wine. I have 15 days to sell 23 more alarm systems. Thats 1.667 sales a day, 9 sales a week, trust me i've calculated it 100 times. I am happy with the summer, I hope to end up the 170 gross with 150 funded. If any of you want an alarm, ill give you one for free*.

And now for Troy's top ten most exciting things to do when summer ends list:

10. Cafe Rio in Provo - lets just say i'm going to drop some burritos to their knees! Bring on the metamucil!
9. Eat dinner at 5:00 PM.
8. Do absolutely nothing from 2-9 pm. including x-box, and x-box
7. Sleep in on a saturday morning.
6. Go camping and vacationing. For more than 1 day.
5. Not talk about alarm systems 99.9% of the time i'm conscious.
4. I think we might just take the plunge and buy a plasma tv and welcome the bu bu bu buuuum, NFL.
3. Cruise in November, Cruise in November! I'm working on my beach body, last day in gym...4/13/08.
2. Swim in - Parents pool, Pacific Ocean, and my own bathwater.

1. Spend time with my one and only, Ter-rizzle the bear bomb B-rizzle Brown.

That was my top ten. I'll leave with a joke or 7.

yo mama's so fat: She got on the scale and it said, No livestock please.
The last time she saw 90210 was on the scale.
She got on the scale and it said one at a time please.
She irons her shirt on the driveway.

yo mama's so dumb she brought a spoon to the super bowl.
yo mama's so skinny, she pierced her ear and died.
yo daddys so short, he has to cuff his underwear.

What is the difference between your mama and a buffalo? About 25 lbs.
How do you get it even? Shave her legs

Teeny Boppin Times

Right now, I am very excited for these two things. Do I feel a little embarrassed to admit it? YES! But I must say these two things have me feeling very happy right now for a little teenage romance. Love it!

how old is your spouse? the big 2-3
who eats more? the Troy boy
who cooks, makes dinner & does laundry? Right now me, but troy helps out a lot during the school year
who controls the remote? both of us. depends who gets it first
who will admit when they are wrong? we usually can't stay mad at each other very long, but troy definitely is better about saying sorry.

Da Browns Da Browns Da Browns

Mom and Dad Brown were in town for a few short days this weekend. As always, we had a fun time. We really do miss being close to family while we are gone for the summers. We went to Mt. Vernon (George Washington's House), ate good food, and caught up on the latest and greatest.

Va Va Virginia Beach

Last weekend Troy and I went to Virginia Beach with our friends Grant and Brittany. It was so nice to get away from the monotony of this job, and spend time with our husbands. We got to the beach pretty early in the morning (around 11) and could not get our swimsuits on fast enough. Of course, the first stop was at the boogie board shop where we made necessary purchases of a boogie board, and sand castle building tools.

We played in the water, which was incredibly warm by the way (for ocean water anyway), and built a fabulous sand castle. After we drank too much salt water and had too much sun for one day we grabbed a bite to eat at a restaurant on the beach. Following the beach we looked at some shops, and then went to the hotel to shower, you can only imagine the sand left behind in that place. We then went to a movie "Get Smart" and then to Macaroni Grill . We really like hanging out with Grant and Brittany and alway have good laughs and stories to share. Overall I do not think that the trip could have gone better. Enjoy the pics.

Pay close attention to the awesome face I am making in this picture. This is due to the valid effort I make every time that I am in the ocean to not get salt water in my mouth. If some does happen to force through my pursed lips... I gag, probably 8 times! (*Warning: there is a boogie board under us in the next picture). It is the only picture of us smiling in the ocean, due to the above mentioned dilemma.
We do not know a single person in this picture, but I do know that it is quality. Do you ever wonder how many people's pictures you are in that you do not know??
