Santa Clause

Last night was our ward Christmas party, and Santa Clause came. Here are a couple of pictures of Brodie's first visit with Santa. Surprisingly, he did not cry when we set him on his lap. He kind of had a nervous look, but no tears this year! The pictures were taken on my phone so they are a little fuzzy, but they do the job.

Halloween and Hawaii

It's ok that it is almost Thanksgiving, and I am just now posting Halloween pictures right? Well we were not actually in town for Halloween, but thanks to the famous Reidhead Halloween party we still got to dress Brodie up for his first Halloween. If you cannot tell from the pictures, Brodie is a guitar. He looked so cute in his costume. It's all for the parents at this age anyways. We had a lot if fun at the party with an anual custume contest, pumpkin carving, pinata (for the kids), dinner, and lots of candy. The kids all looked so cute in their costumes, and the adults put on quite a hilarious show with our costumes. We left town for Hawaii on the 25th of October and were there through Halloween. It was a tough decision whether or not to be gone for Brodie's first Halloween, and it took us about 2.5 seconds to get on board with the idea. We went with Carl and Steph and their two boys to Oahu for a "business trip". It was so much fun to get away to the warm weather and sandy beaches of Hawaii. We visited Waikiki, Hanauma Bay, Polenesian Cultural center, blow hole, and truly enjoyed ourselves. Oh how we miss you Hawaii. Enjoy the pictures!

6 Months

Can't beleive the Brodester is 6 months. We have so much fun with this little guys. He is always making Troy and I laugh. Baby boy is getting really good at rolling over, and can sit up for about 3.5 seconds. I cannot believe how fast the time has flown by. Do not have stats for the Brode man at this time...Have not had his 6 month check-up yet. I was just looking through some pictures and found these dream boat up close shots. More pics of Halloween and Hawaii to come.

Happy Birthday

Lots of new posts today. I am a little behind. Troy turned the big 2-5 yesterday. We celebrated a little on Saturday, and then yesterday had dinner with the whole fam, and partied some more. Hope the Troy boy had a good day! Here are some perks about turning 25:

-You are now a quarter century old
-Car insurance rates have totally gone down
-Can rent a car without any extra charges
-You are officially in your mid 20's

Faces

Baby bear is getting so big. It is so fun to see his little personality coming out. I can't believe that he is almost 6 months. This is his latest thing. He makes this face and then blows out which makes a farting noise. I wonder where he heard that noise? Probably his daddy.

Visitors

The last couple of weeks have been a little crazy with visitors and traveling. My best friend Jessica came in to town a couple of weeks ago. We had so much fun hanging out and doing girly things. I miss having her live close. We took one picture together, but sorry jess, it is too pitiful to post. After Jessica my 89 year old Grandpa Wooley came to visit. He is such a champ. We had a lot of fun with him. He is such a goer and loves to go and try new things. He has a "list basket" aka a buket list, but i did not have the heart to correct him, and it was pretty funny. We went to the balloon fiesta (which is pretty amazing i must say), rode the tram, visited Santa Fe, went on a lot of drives, and had a good time visiting and playing games. Grandpa Wooley is an avid Skipbo player. Troy and I got smoked a couple of times. We had a lot of fun with grandpa, and were so glad that Brodie finally got to meet Great Grandpa Wooley. At the balloon fiesta.

Where does the time go? I cannot believe that Summer is coming to an end, and fall is beginning. We have had a busy couple of weeks traveling and visiting with friends and family. Our good friends Grant and Brittany came to visit on their way home from Florida. They just stayed the night, which was incredibly too short, but it was so good to see them. We miss you guys! That weekend we headed off to New York. It was so great to see my parents and Brodie loved spending time with Grammy and Papa H. While we were in NYC we went up North to my parents first area and had pizza with a family in their ward. They had just made a brick oven and we made pizzas and watched the BYU football game. We also visited the Vanderbilt mansion which was pretty incredible. We were able to go to church with my parents and meet some of the people that they have taught on their mission. Monday morning we went to Norma's (oh so good). Monday night my dad and troy went with Chuck, Shirlene, Celeste, and Tage to the Yankees game. Me and my mom stayed back with the Brode man, and got a bite to eat and get some good quality time together. Thank you mom and dad for a fun trip. We got home from NYC Tuesday night and headed to Lake Powell Thursday morning. That was a quick turn around. We love lake Powell. We had such a fun time on the boat wakeboarding, and jet skiing. One thing I love about Lake Powell is that it is always so relaxing. We got Brodie a little Body glove suite that he looked so adorable in. He did not like to stay in it for very long, but hopefully next year it will be more of a hit. Brodie had his 4 month check-up today, and here are his stats:

Height: 28 in
Weight:19.6 lbs
Head: 17 in.

Once again off the charts in height and weight. Oh and by the way he did not even cry when he got his shots. Just made a little whimper on the second one. Poor baby.

Seattle

For Mother's day, Troy got us tickets to go to Seattle. We finally made it up there this past week and had so much fun. Stacey and Steph came with their kids, so all of the siblings were there. We had so much fun with 10 little grandkids running around. I got to see my friend from high school (laura), on Wednesday. We had a fun time catching up. Troy flew in Thursday night, and it just so happened that the Mariners were playing the Yankees so I surprised him with tickets. Brian, Val and Stace came with Camilla, Oni, and Abby. It was a good time with the kids rooting for the Mariners and Troy rooting for the Yankees. Saturday we got to do a little early celebrating for our anniversary while Val watch the Brode man. We started off with the Salty's buffet, followed by shopping. It was really nice to spend some time together. Sunday Brian and Erin blessed their fourth baby girl Isla Jane. We were glad that we were able to be there for that special event. The rest of the time was filled with family dinners, splash pads, parks, legos, the zoo, and a good time with great company. Thank you to Val and Jake and Brian and Erin for hosting us! We miss you already.

Three Years!

Yesterday Troy and I celebrated our third anniversary. Holy cow, where does the time go? It has been fun to reflect upon the last three years of marriage, and the events that have taken place. A lot has happened in three years, and I can honestly say it has been the best time of my life. We were talking and figured that we have moved 8 times, traveled to many places, had a beautiful baby boy, and have shared many wonderful experience together. What a ride! We look forward to many more years together. HAPPY Anniversary to us!

Catch Up

I feel like ever since Brodie was born, things have been a little crazy around these parts. It is a good crazy though. We moved to Albuquerque in January and searched and searched for a house. With some bad luck and a crazy economy right now a couple of options fell through. Well I am happy to say that we are finally into a house that we love and are getting settled. Troy has been busy with work, and seems to enjoys both jobs.

In the mean time Brodie is now three and a half months old. Holy cow, where does the time go. It seems like he went from a newborn to a little baby overnight. He is doing so many cute and fun things. Some stats at his two month check-up:
Weight: 16 lb. 6 oz
Height: 25 1/2 in

Needless to say, he is off the charts in every aspect. It is ok that he is often mistaken for a 9 month old cuz he an keep up with them all the way around. We have so much fun with this little guy. He is so smiley and loves to laugh and coo. He is such a sweet baby and never means to be any trouble. He loves to swing in his swing, bath time, being naked (all boy), and talking up a storm. He is also holding his head up on his own, and standing. Some nicknames that we like to call Brodie are: the Brodester, Brode Man, Brodeskers, Mr. Magoo, Chunck a Monk, the list goes on

It has been a fun summer here in Albuquerque with a few camping trips, lots of days and Nana and Papa's pool, and some minor league baseball games here and there. Steph, Carl and the boys are here for the summer, and we have had so much fun with them. It is such a blessing to have family close by. Here are some pictures of the little man

Whenever Brodie makes noises he always sticks his lip out and flares his nostrils. I love love love it!

We went to the b-ball game the other night and dressed up all the kids in their yankees atire (thanks celeste).
