Done!

I am officially DONE with the semester... I finished with my finals last night, which was very exciting. And then I finished up work for this semester, also exciting! And now I have nothing to do and wish I was going home right now instead of 12 hours from now! haha!

Fun Story: So I was taking my last final, for my health administration class, and the teacher had said how during the midterm he thought he made a really hard test and was offended when people finished way fast, and I was one of them. So he said he was going to take points off for each minute that you left class before an hour had been up. Well I couldn't tell if he was joking or not, and I finished in like 2o minutes. So I am sitting there, not wanting to be the first person to turn in the final, and just looking over it... and then he leaves. So I am thinking, should I turn it in now, just put it on his desk and leave. Was he serious about taking points off, because if so I will sit here for another 30 minutes. And while this debate is going on in my head, the lights turn off. We all sit there in the dark for a little, some people get there phones out and use them as lights to finish there tests. My teacher come back and tells people to go into the hallway where the emergency lights are on. Well I am done so I put my paper on the front desk and leave. Once I got outside, it is like pitch black. I didn't have my phone and I had to walk back to my dorm. Luckily it was way close, but I was still way scared. I get back to my dorm and my roommates were freaking out. The whole city had lost power, all the way to IF, which is like 30 miles away. I was thinking the power would be out forever... but it wasn't. That was about 8ish when that happened, and we went to bed at 10. Not much to do with no electricity. We sat around and talked for a while, and ate some ice cream, and then went to sleep. I called my boss last night asking her what to do if the power was still out, and so she said she would call me if the electricity came back on, so she did. So at like 7 this morning she calls and tells me that work wasn't cancelled cuz the power was on, so I get in my scrubs and head down there. What seems like 2 minutes later (really 7 hours later) I walk home and find all my roommates asleep... its 3 in the afternoon, why are they napping! Im so bored!! haha
So ya, that was my little side story for ya! :)

The title basically says it all. I spent all day cleaning for white gloves, I have one final tomorrow and 3 on Thursday... and I have hardly studied at all, because I have been so stressed with everything else. Trying to take one day at a time but everything is catching up... I'M SO STRESSED!!!

Only 4 more days and I will be home... my favorite Christmas present will be my 2 week break from school and work! PARTY!!!

Busy Busy Week!!!

This week has been a weird one for me. Today at dinner I was thinking about how it has gone super fast, but at the same time, Monday seems like it was forever ago... Working puts a weird twist on school. I go to classes in the morning, go to work in the afternoon, come home and study, then go to bed. There hasn't been much break time for me this past week, and I think thats why it seems to have gone by so fast, and so slow!

All I know is that I hope next week goes this fast, because a week from today I will be done with my first semester! I have really loved this semester though. All my classes have been good, and I have made a lot of good friends, lots of which are leaving this winter. But I am way excited just to be done with it. I was looking at my graduation report, which feels like will never be completed, and I was just thinking about how exciting it will be next week when I actually have 14 more credits done with! Hopefully with a 4.0 GPA to go with it!

Next week I only have 3 days of classes, and 1 final day! Then next Friday I work from 7:45am to 5:00pm, basically every second the health center is open, I will be in it! WOOOHOO!!! I really do love my job actually. Its way fun, and the people are all way cool, and its not too hard! Plus I just love being in the health field, I keep learning new things and it makes me more excited for my major in health! I was actually looking today at Health minors, which I haven't decided if thats a good idea yet, to major and minor in the same thing, it might be a Health overload. Anyway, I think a sports medicine minor would be way interesting. The only thing holding me back from that is the 2 semesters of Anatomy/Physiology I would have to take, and that does NOT sound like a good time to me. Maybe I will just take the Sports Med. class without taking the whole minor! Who knows! haha!!!

This turned out being a lot longer than I expected. I don't expect anyone to really read this, its more like my online journal.... anyway....

I love snow, and Christmas, my tree that I put up, my funny roommates, my family, and most importantly, my ticket home! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Some Questions to Think About....

Today in my Book of Mormon class my teacher gave us these questions to think about, and I thought they were so good, I wanted to share them with everyone!

  • God won't ask what kind of car you drove. He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.
  • God won't ask the square footage of your house. He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.
  • God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet. He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.
  • God won't ask you what your highest salary was. He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.
  • God won't ask what your job title was. He'll ask if you preformed your job to the best of you ability.
  • God won't ask how many friends you had. He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.
  • God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived in. He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.
  • God won't ask about the color of your skin. He'll ask about the content of your character.

Just something to think about.....

Pictures from the concert!!!

Ok, So I typed up a SUPER LONG story of basically every detail of the night, and put it on facebook as a note. For some reason it wouldn't let me copy and paste it on here so it could be a blog too, so here is the link if you feel like reading my 2000 words (NO JOKE) on the concert. But if you are anything like me and DO NOT like to read a lot, you can just look at the pictures!

I'm A Working Women!!!

Today I had an interview at the Health Center for a job as a receptionist there. I sent in my application 2 weeks ago, got a phone call about it last week, had the interview today, and then was hired only 20 minutes after my interview! It was the best! I was way nervous for the interview, but I think my experience in a health office and the fact that my major is HealthCare Administration gave me an advantage for this job! Tomorrow I will go in and fill out some paper work and officially get hired, and then my first day is this Thursday! I can't wait! Its going to be way fun, either that or way stressful with finals coming up in 2 weeks! AHHH... what was I thinking gettin a job right now! Im already crazy busy as it is! Oh well! I will find a way to work it out!

Davids concert is Friday, I am pretty sure you can all expect a VERY long blog about every detail! :)

Love ya!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I really think that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! So much family time! So much fun! Starts with some cooking and parade watching, then a little cleaning before the company comes, and then some football watching, then DINNER EATING, then game playing, pie eating, movie going, and home for some more pie, and more games, and tv!

Thats basically my Thanksgiving in a nutshell! haha! This year for a movie, I wanted to see A Christmas Carol, I thought that would be good to see on Thanksgiving day, but instead we saw The Blind Side, which was So Crazy Good!!! I loved it! I will totally be buying that one when it comes out, it is so amazing!

I am so thankful for my family and the people in my life! I am so blessed! I have loved being home for the my break, but I think I am just ready to be in Rexburg and finish of the semester, I am so close, I can feel it!

Hope everyone had a fantastic holiday! Have fun shopping tomorrow everyone! I know I will!!!

Randomness

I don't feel like anything crazy exciting is worth talking about, so I haven't posted in a while. But I will just fill you in really quick with my life.

About a month ago I went to Utah and saw some friends and had fun with my FHE sisters!

On Saturday I am going to Utah again, meeting up with my daddy, and going to see the BYU Air Force game! I'm not sure who I will go for, since I technically am BYU student, (BYU-I BABY!) But I am also an air force brat, born and raised! haha. So I'm excited for that!

Then on Sunday I will be flying home to sunny AZ! Actually Rexburg has had beautiful weather the past couple of days, I'm sad to be leaving when its so nice. Its sunny today, and we walked around town without even a sweatshirt on, just along sleeve shirt, its like 50*. I love it!!!

Today I got a calculus test back, I got a 97%!!!

I also took a health test today and I am pretty sure I did awesome! After that test I was saying all sorts of thank-you prayers for helping me remember everything, and for being at this school, and for the weather... its been a great day!!!

This week I skipped my first class as a college student. I slept in. My roommates came in and i woke up all confused, then I looked at the clock, I completely missed my first class and my 2nd one started in 20 minutes. It was pretty crazy!!!

Also this week has been really good roommate wise. I am really loving them, all of them, and things are going very smoothly!

So ya, that was just a little randomness about whats going on. I will try to be better, but I doubt that I will be!

Love ya!

Roomate Bonding Time!!!

Tonight after FHE I had what I thought was a ton of homework to do. It really didn't turn out being all that much. I went to my bedroom just to grab my calculator for a math thing, and I noticed that it was just me and Katie W. in the apartment. Katie K and Kalie were out and about... so I went and talked to Katie just for a sec. Well that sec turned into like 2 hours. We talked about school, high school, elementary, our first bad grades, then went on to memories of grandparents and family, parents and siblings, we talked about boys (duh) and dumb girls when they are around boys! haha! It was so much fun! We just sat on her bed and talked forever! Now we are both in the living room, she is reading the Odessey, and I should be reading the scriputres, but I will get to them! haha! Anyway, I just love her, and my other roomates! So blessed to have her in my life, she is so much like me, we crack each other up how similar we are! So ya, love love love her!

P.S. Random Story: Today my friend Julia told me how she had to "observe" someone in the MC and then go and interview them about what they observed. Today while I was eating lunch at the MC, someone came to me and was like, this may be weird... and I laughed... "Have you been observing me?" I asked, and they were like, "Ya, for my English project. can I interview you?" So the interview was like, do you like musicals, since I was wearing a Wicked sweatshirt! She asked if I liked to travel, since I was telling my friend about the trip I am taking this weekend, and then she just said I seem very friendly and nice. It was so random but way funny, and now she has to write a 2 page paper, on me! How weird is that! lol! But ya, just funny story!

Love ya!

New CD!!!

So you all know how obsessed I am... On October 13th David Archuleta's 2nd CD came out! Its a christmas album! WOOHOO!!! So I got up super early that day and me and my bff Kailey Coons went to breakfast and then Wal*Mart before our classes. Unfortunatly they did not have it then, and they weren't gonna get it until like 9 in the morning. So I went to my classes, and then came right home and hurried off to WalMart. On my way out I saw my friend Alex and told her I was going to get the CD, so she came with me! Kailey was still in class, and I felt bad leaving her, but she said it was ok. So I went to WalMart and hurried to the back and then started to run when I actually saw it! SO HAPPY!!! Then I got it and hurried home, becasue it was devotional, and Elder Oaks was talking. It was so good! And then I came home and put the CD on my iPod and pretty much have been listening to it non stop! WOOHOOO!!!

Hair color!

So last Friday me and my roomate went to Walgreens and got hair dye and did our hair! I wanted mine to be blonder, so I got a blonder box of hair color, but I was nerous it would be way too blonde, so I didn't use the whole bottle, and I didn't leave it in as long... but anyway, its kinda hard to tell in the pictures, but here are before and afters! :)

So ya, I know I look like a dork, I hate just taking pics of me, but I wanted to see the difference. :) Just thought I would show ya'll!

Monday, October 5

What is this white stuff....

Im so mad I didn't get any pictures today, but it totally snowed! First snow of the season. I woke up and looked over to see if my roomie was awake, and while I looked over I saw something white outside the window, so I jumped out of bed and looked out the front. It was totally snowing. It snowed continually all morning and stopped during lunch. Then the sun came out and totally melted it all, so I was too late to get pictures. It was unlike anything in Arizona. Ok, I am being overdramatic, I have lived in snow in Massachutes, and I have been in snow all the time in Utah for our skiing vacation, but I am not used to living in it. I had to go to the store today, but waited until all the snow was gone, heck, I don't know how to drive in snow. The guys in my math class said when you step on the brake, you car doesn't stop... SCARY! Anyway, it shouldn't snow for a while now, it was just a random snowy day. The rest of the week should be perfect, partly cloudy with a high of 5o. WHO AM I? I can't believe I just said partly cloudy was a perfect week, this time last year I would have said the perfect weather was a cloudless blue sky day about 90 degrees. But here, I am liking the cold! I like the new clothes I wear here that I would never wear in AZ. I got a really big jacket, and a scarf, and boots! Its so much fun! So ya, next time it snows I will get pictures right away! :)

Time Flies!!!

Holy Cow,

I can't believe I have been living on my own for 3 weeks as of yesterday! Seriously the time has just flown by! I am doing such a bad job at keeping my journal and blog updated. This is just a quick little thing before I go to class about what usually happens in a day of the life of Tara...

Wake up about 7:30
Get ready and leave for class about 8:45
Classes until 12:30-1:00 (depends on the day)
Lunch at the MC, or maybe my apartment...
HW at the library
Study Groups at the libraray
Meet a tutor at the library (only wednsday and friday!)
Come back to my apartment and finish homework... (well not really finish, homework in college in never really done!)
Then I have dinner, maybe watch a TV show on my laptop, and then check the weather for the next day....
Then I usually go to bed around 11:30-12:00ish...

This is just a rough sketch, since everyday is different. Like today, I have 2 study groups and a tutor, but yesterday, all I had was devotional and the rest of the day went to HW, so ya, its different daily...

But ya, thats basically what I do! And I love it!

New Calling!

So last week I got my first calling in my singles ward. I am the 2nd councilor in the Relief Society Presidency! Its very exciting, but I have a feeling its going to be a very time consuming calling. Already I have gone to like 3 different meetings for it since I have been called a few days ago! But its really cool. We had a leadership training meeting which was way cool, the Stake Relief Society Presidency talked to all of us about the different callings. Then we had a presidency meeting today, and tomorrow we are going around to all 40 girls in our Relief Society to talk to them. There are actually 3 different Relief Society's in our ward, and only 2 Elders Quorums. Sad, I know, but its ok. haha. Other than that, things are the same. I have classes Monday through Friday, today my calculus class was cancelled. Instead of getting a good extra hour in for homework, I called my parents and chatted with them for a good 40 minutes! It was fun, except for when they told me to study... not fun. Then today I wanted to study but my computer was being insane, so I took it to get fixed, and it took a good 3 hours. So I did some homework in the computer lab, and the rest I am saving til the morning. Then FHE tonight was combined with the whole ward, and it was a bbq at the Bishops house in Idaho Falls. I had to drive my roomies out there, its kinda far. Oh well! It was fun! So ya, that's it for now, I will write again when something super fun happens!

Nothing is more important!

Today I had an amazing day. The sister missionary's came by yesterday and told us about a baptism for someone who will be in our ward, and they invited us to come. I told them that I would for sure show up and they asked me to say the opening prayer. I was nervous at first because I couldn't pronounce the persons name who was getting baptised. Bashseas. I figured out how to say it though! Yesterday I also got a call from a girl in my apartment complex who wanted to go but didn't have a way of getting there, and luckily for both of us, I have a car! (THANKS MOM AND DAD!!!) So I went and got her today and we went to the baptism together, and then she ended up giving the closing prayer. There wasn't too many people there, but it was so cool! He was baptised by his roomate and good friend, and when he came up, he said, almost in a tearing voice, "Thank You!" It was so simple, and yet it was so awesome!

After his baptism, Alex, the girl who came with me, asked me what I was going to do next. I told her I was planning on going to to the Rexburg Temple to do baptisms. She had totally planed to do that too, so we went together! It was really busy today, which I really liked. I have gone to the Mesa Temple before and have been in and out in less than an hour. Luckily today I could spend more time there and soak it all in. While I was in the temple, which is gorgeous by the way, they had church magazines to read. I picked up the most recent conference ensign, and read an article by Richard G. Scott about temple worship. He asked the question in his talk, "What is there that is more important than attending and participating in the ordinances of the temple?" While I was sitting in the chapel of the temple, watching the people in front of me go in to the water, I answered his question. Nothing is more important than this right here!

I love that temple, and I love this town. It is truly an answer to my prayers to have ended up here in little 'ol Rexburg! I am so thankful for the church in my life and I am so thankful that I can attend a school that has its focus on the church! I know that the next 4 years are going to be some of the best of my life! :)

First Week of School

So today was my first day of school! But I am going to back up and tell you about yesterday. They had more Get Connected activities, but I didn't feel like going. Instead I went to the bookstore, got a calander and some laundy soap, and found some cute BYU-I clothes but didn't get any. Then I went to lunch with my roomie Katie. The cafeteria here is INSANE! So cool! I really enjoyed it! I also walked around campus and found all my classes, which I was thankful for this morning when I acutally had to go! Then I went to the I-Night Extravaganza! They had a ton of stuff to do, like rock climbing, dunk tanks, tons of random games like DDR and musical chairs, they had inflatable bouncy things, and dating games, speed dating, and a dance in the Hart Building. But the BEST thing was KIRBY HEYBORNE! He did a comedy/concert show, and it was awesome! I was in such a hurry, I forgot my camera... saddest thing ever when he walked out on stage and I reached in my purse and its not in there. But it was ok! I got over it! He was so funny, talking about his wife and kids, and puppy breath... he went on a rant about how puppy breath makes you feel warm, and then he wrote a song about how his wife had puppy breath, like it was litterally right there on the spot that he wrote the song! Anyway, he was funny, and I laughed.

Then today I went to my classes. First was Science Foundations, and then Calculus, and then Healthcare Administration... so far, my favorite is Calc! Not becasue of the subject, but because of the hottie RM named Steve that sits by me! Gosh I hope he never reads this blog! He was so hot, and he talked to me! Then our teacher read a scriputre about putting other people in front of yourself, and he said that is what we need to do in this class. If we help others, then we will do well in the class. Steve wrote that down in his notes, and so Im hoping he remembers that this semester and helps me! :) Like I'm telling you... SO HOT!!!

So hot in fact that I have no idea what we talked about in Heathcare class, cuz I was thinking of Steve....

Anyway, then I went to the cafeteria, by myself, and found some other girl eating by herself, so I asked her if I could eat with her. She was nice and we talked. When she was done eating, the girls at the table two down from me told me I could scoot down and sit by them. So it was pretty awesome! Its so easy to talk to someone you have never met here! Way more easy than I thought it would be!

Then I went to the library where I studied for about 3 hours. I finished my Science homework, and then went to the math lab the get help with Calc. I also signed up for a tutor, if Steve continues to sit by me, I will never learn anything! haha!

So ya, then I came to my dorm and called mom and said HAPPY BIRHTDAY!! Then I checked facebook and Kirby Heyborne commented on my status, becasue it was about him!!! Pretty much made my life! :) Thanks Kirby!

So ya, first day... DONE! Only like a jillion more days til I graduate!

Tuesday, September 8

I'm Here!!!

This is just a quick post since I only have about 5 minutes. I made it to BYU-Idaho yesterday. My dorm is great, and so far the girls are great too! We had our I-Team thing yesterday where we met our little group and played games. Then last night we went to a social get-together and played ping-pong and limbo, and just hung out! Today I woke up and organized my room since I never quite got to it yesterday. I will post pictures later, but ya, its pretty awesome looking!

The only bad thing so far is my roomate has a job as a custodian and has to wake up at like 3:30 in the morning, so needless to say I also woke up that early. But I fell right back asleep, so all is well!

We have a devotional with the President today, so I need to go shower and get ready! I will have more for ya soon!

WAY TO GO.... IDAHO!!!!

Ohio Trip #2

So for the last week I had the greatest opprotunity to go to Ohio again, by myself, to be with my sister. I love her babies so much, I can't hardly stand being away from them. When we found out at the beginning of August that we couldn't make it to our cousins wedding in Boston, I relized that I don't know when the next time I will see these children. Then I had a horrible week at work, and decidided to stop working 2 weeks earlier than planned. So I was sittting around the house with nothing to do, all my friends had already moved off to college and I still had 2 weeks, so I thought, might as well spend it in Ohio with my sister! It was great!

First thing Anika did was go through my purse to find my iPod. She likes to listen to the Enchanted Soundtrack!

The first day I got there, the girls already remembered me and loved me! We just hung out and had grilled cheese sandwiches, popcorn, and watched some TV. The next day we took a trip o Kritland Ohio! It was so great! The entire way there the girls were sleeping and Angell and I just chatted the whole way! So Awesome! Once we got there we went to the Historic Kirtland site and had a tour from the sister missionarys there (which I decided would be an AWESOME way to spend a mission!!!) Anika was so cute because every time they would say a word she knew, like Church, Missionarys, Kirtland, or Temple, she would get excited and repeat it back to them. I think everyone on the tour payed more attention to her and Avery than they did the sites, oops! It was so awesome, being in the same room where the Word of Wisdom revelation was given, and lots more. The spirit was there the minute you steped on the grounds there. What an awesome place to be.

The ride home was not as quite as the ride there, I had to reach back every 2 minutes to give the baby a goldfish to keep her quite for 30 second intervals... what fun! But it was still a great trip.
The next day we had plans to take the girls shopping. I had still not gotten ready for the day when Angell had to bring lunch to her husband, so I stayed with Anika. Angell was going to get us afterwards and go shopping... but the storms came in. Holy Cow can it rain in Columbus! Angell had been gone for a while, and Anika and I were just hanging out, and the power went off. On the inside I was freaking out, but had to Anika calm. So everytime we heard thunder we would mimik it... "BOOM BOOM" Needless to say Angell and I didn't go shopping that day!

But that night Angell didn't know what to make for dinner since we were going to have chicken but it hadn't been cold for 4 hours when the power was off, so we went to Red Robin that night! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM...... haha

The next day Angell and Sean had a meeting in the morning, a baptism in the afternoon, and a temple trip that night, so I got to babysit all day long! It was the best. I made them sandwiches, and for dinner we had spaghetti. We watched Toy Story and a Bugs Life. We played tea party with everyone, ya know.... puppy, bear, pooh bear, other puppy... When I gave Anika crackers for a snack, she put a cracker on each different animal, she is so cute!

When they got home from the temple, Angell took me shopping. We went to the mall and went to a store there called H and M. Angell said it was the only place she shopped in Germany. It was awesome, I bought 3 shirts, 2 pants, 2 scarfs, and 1 jacket! I loved it!

The next day was Sunday, and Angell and Sean have a calling in the Nursery... and let me tell ya, it made me miss my crazy 5 year olds. These children were off the wall crazy! Longest 2 hours of church EVER!!! But it was fun! (kinda)

Before I knew it the trip was over. Well, kinda! Angell didn't have anything to do for the next 2 weeks, so she came home with me, and is hanging out here! We sure do love our daddys job!

I leave on Sunday for Idaho, and until then I can hang out with the babies all day long! I love my family! I sure am going to miss everyone!!!

Sunday, August 23

Summer = Over and Goodbyes = Hard

Well the summer isn't quite over for me, I still have a good 14 days until I move and then 4 days after that until classes even start, but for everyone else school starts this week. My best friend Amy had her last day in Gilbert on Thursday. The two of us went to Golden Spoon and shared a large chocolate/vanilla swirl with gummy bears in it, we used to do that all the time when we were Juniors! Then we went to her house and she invited a bunch of people over and we all hung out! I knew it wasn't goodbye, since we WILL see each other again, but it was still sad.

Saturday Staci came over to be with me. Her last day is Monday. We went to dinner and then went to Morgan and Alix's goodbye party. There were a lot of people there, and it was a great party. Until the end, when I realized, I won't see these girls like I always do. Staci came back to my house and we just chatted a little. Then all of a sudden we noticed it was almost 1 in the morning, so Staci left. And again, I didn't say goodbye, but see ya soon!

The five of us have been BFFs since freshman year! I can not imagine high school without these girls! And we are all going separate ways now. Amy is off at UofA, Morgan left for Provo today, Staci and Alix are both going to Provo later this week, and I will be in Idaho two weeks from tomorrow!

It is so crazy how fast life hits. Seems not very long ago we were all excited that we turned 14, so we could go to the stake dances together, then it was 15 and 7 months... learners permit! Then 16, dating!!! Then it was like... we're seniors! And now we are all living on our own, going to college, being adults! I can't believe how fast these last four years have gone!

To my best friends reading this, I love you girls so much! Can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving! :)

So Much Stuff!!!

So on Saturday I started cleaning and packing up my room. It may seem pre-mature since I don't leave for another 20 days, but next week I am going to Ohio to be with my sister and nieces, and my mom said I can only go if my room is packed because I will only have 4 days after I get back from Ohio, and since the babies will be coming home with me, I don't think I will get a whole lot done in those 4 days. So I started early! Which is good, becasuse I have already worked for over 4 hours, and it hardly looks like I have done anything! I emptied out my closet and my dresser and book shelf. It was so hard going through everything I have. 6 years of junk and treasures pilled up in my room! I went through as everything deciding if its keep at home, take with me to school, DI it, or throw it away! Its a hard process. I already filled two huge bins of stuff I am leaving here for storage until Im married and have my own place. Then I have had 4 garbage bags, and 1 DI, and the rest is just out! haha

I had NO idea how much stuff I can fit into my little tiny room of mine. Its so crazy! The craziest part is Im not even close to being done, I only got half of my room cleaned out! YIKES! Im gonna have a busy week! I think if I clean for one CD worth everyday this week, maybe I will be good to go to Ohio! Then I can come back and pack the last few things, clothes and bathroom stuff, and then I will be done. I still need to go shopping for dorm stuff too. I have a feeling this next couple of weeks are going to be CRAZY!

Thats it, I just wanted to post about my crazy mess I am sitting in now! Im gonna put up a picture of when I finished painting my room last year so you can see it ats it best!

Now just imagine me on the right side of the bed, with the left side covered in junk, and no floor, since I can't really see it anyway! haha.

Im really gonna miss my room...

I guess I'm an adult now!

So yesterday was my birthday, the big 18!!! Not like I feel any different, but its official, I'm an adult! Here is a list I came up with of things I can do today that I couldn't have done 2 days ago:

  • Buy Dry Ice! (its true, and my favorite one)
  • Buy things of infomercials... ya know, "you must be 18 or older to call"
  • Get a library card without a parent there. It sounds silly but I tried it when I was 17 and they wouldn't let me!
  • Buy Cigarettes.. top of my to do list... NOT
  • Open up a bank account without my dads name attached to it (which I did!!!)
  • And there were a few more but I'm having a hard time coming up with them!

So for my birthday I didn't do too much. I woke up and drove Keri to school, and then came home and got ready for work. Both my parents were outa town, so they called and sang to me. Then at work we had an office meeting for the first hour with bagels, and they had a crown for me to wear that said "Birthday Princess" and I got some balloons! haha. Then we all went out to lunch and Dr. Curtis paid (Thanks Dr. Curtis!!!). Then another girl I worked with who hasn't come in for a while remembered it was my birthday and she dropped by and brought me a cake!

Then when I got home I had a ton of texts and facebook messages saying happy birthday, so that made me happy! Keri drew me a funny picture of me buying dry ice and her cheering me on! She's so silly!

Then I went to dinner with Staci and Morgan and Keri, and then we came back and watched 17 again! BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

So ya, it was a pretty good day! Today was too though! I got home from work and had some presents on the counter. Thats always fun! And my dad took me to Best Buy to get a new addition to my car to include a stereo system that will play my iPod! (THANKS DADDY!!!)

These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things...

  • Going to the Temple on a busy day, instead of hurrying through the baptisms, I can take time to sit in the baptisimal font room and just think while other people are going. What a peaceful place to think.
  • Listening to music with Keri as we do our hair and make-up.
  • Buying new make-up!!!
  • Going to Paradise Bakery with my favorite little sister and getting my favorite salad!!!
  • Walmart, it just is a fun and happy store! :)
  • Having a new CD to listen to! If only I could afford to have this more often!
  • Going to Cold Stone with Amy, my favorite thing is the boy that works there!!!
  • Driving and talking with my dad.
  • DiGiorno pizza for dinner, its not delivery, its DiGiorno!!!
  • Watching a movie I haven't seen before (today it was the movie Doubt).
  • And writing on my blog!

Well that basically sums up my day. I felt like this week was very long with work and everything, and today was just such a good day off! I thought about it today how everything I have done has been fun, so I thought I would just write a quick blog about it! haha

My Obsession!

I am so obsessed with my Fox reality TV shows. None of the dumb ones like More to Love, but the good ones, like American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance! American Idol is the very best, and I think about it all year round. January-May are my favorite months for that very reason. And when it is not on TV, I still enjoy listening to performances on it from Blake Lewis (season 6), David Archuleta, Brook White, and Jason Castro (season 7) and most recently Kris Allen. Plus I have those old favorites like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Elliot Yamin, Daughtry, and Jordin Sparks. My point is I really like that show! But the reason I started this post was to talk SYTYCD! I just need to share my feelings with this season.

Last night was the last night they danced before the finale next week, and something weird happened to me. I got bored, and didn't watch it! Instead I went to bed, at 7:30. Weird Huh!!! My feelings about this season, Everybody is really good, but not one person has popped out enough for me to love. Last season I was totally in love with Chelsea Hightower, and Twitch, I loved Katie and Joshua, and I was very happy with the top 4. But this year, I have yet to really pick some people that I love. I think I only voted once, the first week. I just haven't felt like anyone pops out for my votes, crazy huh! This is the girl who voted over 3000+ for David Archuleta in one night, and the girl who had her entire family stay up all night voting for Kris (we didn't count so I don't know, but it was all night!)

So when I got home today I was in a mood to watch it, unlike last night. I watched it with my mom and my sister, and then right after that we watched the elimination episode tonight. During the episode tonight they brought back couples from last season whose dances are nominated for an Emmy, and I was SO much more happy watching all of those dances than any one I have seen this season. There are only really a few from this season that stick out, and the thing is, its the dances that stick out, not the dancers.

So ya, that's about it. I am happy with who the Top 4 is, but I really don't care. I wonder if I am going crazy or if it is just this season, who knows! But ya, I thought I would just rant on and on about this show. Thanks for reading! If your watching this season feel free to comment and tell me your opinions on this season! :)

Home Again Home Again! doo-daa-lee-doo

Well I am back from California, and honestly not too happy about it. We woke up this morning and drove for 6 hours, actually making pretty good time! We sure do like dads radar detector that beeps when a police is around! haha! But as soon as we stepped out of the car at a rest stop in AZ we all melted. After the beautiful week we spent outside, we forgot how horrible the heat was. It was like stepping into an oven...

We got back around 2 and I immediately started my lesson for Primary. If ya didn't know I teach the CTR 6 class in primary! So I started my lesson and realized I had to pick up a few things, so I went and got my bff Amy to come with me and we went to Target. At Target I got a DVD with Oceans 11 and Oceans 12 for $8.oo! Two movies for $8.00, I was so happy!!! I love those movies!

(It looks like this except without 13, which happens to be my favorite, but they didn't have that one.)

Anyway, I was planning on finishing my lesson and then watching one of them, but my friend called and was super bored, so he came over and we played ping pong. I really wanted to watch the movie when he left, by myself with some ice cream (which I was planning on doing in the first place), but I should probably get to bed. I do have 8:00 church! (for only 1 more week!!!)

Anyway, to sum up, California good, Arizona hot, Oceans movie funny, ping pong, and primary!
oh, and 42 days until I move to Idaho!!! :)

Yesterday I was...

Today I am...

In 42 days I will be...

Sunburns in San Diego

I think it is pretty obvious what this blog is going to be about. Dang Sun! haha!

So once a year we come to Escondido, which is about a half hour away from San Diego, and we just hang out! It is so nice to get away from the Arizona heat! The temperature here is in the high 80's, where back home it was in the 110's.

Yesterday we went to the beach in San Diego, and it was such a great day! It was cloudy, and kina cold, but the beach was pretty empty. Around 12 it got a little more crowded, and the sun came out a little later too. We boogie boarded forever. Even my mom and dad got out there! It was so much fun!

Unfortuantly we all had too much fun, and, well, you saw the first picture. Dang Natalee didn't put ANY sunscreen on and she didn't get red at all. So annoying....

Last night we all went out to dinner at Marie Calenders, and we got some pie to take home, so it was a great day! Then we all just sat outside for a while and talked, which is awesome, because we can never just be outside in Arizona. So ya, so far this vacation has been so much fun! And it has only been 2 days! I'll be sure to tell ya what else we have been up to! Here's some more pics of our trip so far!

Davids Concert!!!

So if you didn't already know this about me, I'm kinda obsessed with David Archuleta! Like a lot! haha! So last night Keri and I got to go to our 2nd David Concert... and it was AMAZING!!!
So getting to the concert was a little stressful. My dad just bought me a new GPS though, so I got to use that for the first time and play with that! But there was a crash and it blocked 3 lanes of traffic, so we were moving VERY slowly, or just not moving...

Then Keri and I finally got there about 20 minutes before the doors opened. Once we got inside we used the bathroom, got some food, and then got our wristbands for the special Toyota club thing. Its exclusive for people who got tickets on there website or something, I'm not sure, but we waiting in there until the show started.. it was way cool!

Then we decided really quickly to go get some dippin dots and t-shirts! But unfortunately it wasn't as quickly as we wanted, and we completely missed the first band, KSM. Which I was really bummed about, because I really wanted to see them. But then I realized that I bought the tickets to see David and Demi, so I couldn't be all that sad. Once we got our T-Shirts and sat down, it was like 2 minutes til David started... and oh my was this amazing!!!

He sang a total of 10 songs, and they were all just as good as the next. I got a lot of videos, but it was hard, because I was holding the camera above my head while I was watching him, and then I wasn't watching the camera, so they didn't turn out great, but the sound is really good! Unfortunately, I was taping like every other song because I didn't have that much room on my memory card, and during his song A Little Too Not Over You, he came on our side of the stage and the lights were behind him and hit us, and Keri and I waved, and he totally laughed and waved back! We knew it was to us because the people next to us were sitting down, and the people in front of us were gone (they went closer to the stage). So it was about the greatest 2 seconds of my life, and I didn't get it on camera. :( But I did get others!

This was in the very beginning!!!

This was during You Can! (FAVORITE LOVE SONG EVER!)

This was seriously how close he was, we were in row 15, and he came out and was like... RIGHT THERE!!! I loved it!!!

And then before I knew it, He was done. He sang Zero Gravity, which was AMAZING live, and then he sang Crush (also AMAZING), and then he walked off the stage. Sad Sad time.

Then there was a 20 minute break, and DEMI LOVATO came on! For those of you who don't know her, she was on Camp Rock, and I have liked her ever since that. She also has her own show Sonny With A Chance, which Keri and I DVR and watch ALL the time! So it was pretty exciting seeing her too!

Her outfit looks yellow, but it was more of a bright lime greenish color, and it was so cute! And her necklace and bracelet, which you can't really see in any pictures, were so cool!!!

This was when she asked for someone from the audience who knew all the words for This is Me from Camp Rock, and this little girl got up there and rocked. She was so good, and so cute, she just followed Demi around the stage and held peoples hands and sang her little heart out! So Cute!!!

So basically it was amazing! I have tons of video but Blogger take FOREVER loading videos, and I'm sure you guys would all get bored watching them anyway! But ya, that was my night! I have been waiting for it since March 16 (the last time I saw him live) and I can't wait to see him again!!!

Wicked!

Crazy, this is my 3rd post in 2 days! haha. But I just had to write about Wicked!!!

My dad came to me in the beginning of the year and he said "oh man you are spoiled!" I was like, excuse me, what do you mean by that? And he told us about the tickets he got for us to go see Wicked and how we got like super good seats! I was so excited! I had never seen it but I always wanted to!

So we got to the theater about an hour before it started, and while we were in line to buy T-Shirts, my mom grabbed me and told me to look at this guy, in the bright blue shirt. Okay mom, I will look at this random guy, and it was Cory Mccloskey! He is the weather man on Fox10's morning news! Me and my mom love him! haha! This is a picture of him! haha

Anyway, then the doors open and we find our seats. They were in the 11th row and more on the left side, kind of like 3/4 of the way of the row to the left, if that makes since! haha. Point is, they were really good! And the people in front of me were not really tall so I could see! I loved it!
Glinda the good was the funniest actress in the whole world. The two girls, Glinda and the Wicked Witch were actually played by understudys today, but that didn't really matter to me, I just thought it was interesting that the 2 main stars were both out today. But the other actresses did AMAZING! Glinda was hillarious, I want to be just like her!
Anyway, I loved that show, and I am totally going to see it again next time I get a chance! I love that show! My mom actually found the Wizard of Oz is on TV tonight, so we are going to DVR it and watch it tomorrow so we can see all the things that go together! haha! Can't wait!

Funny Anika Videos!

Anika LOVES dancing with her aunts. I would get down on my knees to be her size to dance with her and she would get sad and say... Tand Up! (She's not very good at saying the S sound in front of words!) So I would "tand up" and hold her hands and dance! That is probably going to be the best memory of mine with her is dancing! We have been doing it since she was a couple months old. :)

So this is a video of Anika saying the funniest word EVER! The word is Tabernacle, but if you ask Anika to say that, it comes out... Tagamcle!!! Every time Angell and Sean pulled out the easy to read bible, she would say it, and not just say it, she would yell it! Then of course Keri and I would randomly be like... ANIKA, say Tabernacle... and she would! It was so adorable!

And here are just some more funny pictures of my funny two year old niece!!!
