One Year Week Thirty-Nine

Monday was Martin Luther King day and we all had the day off! Poor Uncle Shawn and Mom still had to work though. The rest of us played together at the Supermall and had great fun! I enjoyed Edan's bike and Isis's glasses.
Vroom! Vroom! This was probably my favorite part of Monday. I got to drive!
Beep-Beep! My dad is such a good instructor. I didn't crash even once! Now that I've mastered driving, I'm going to fly a Zeppelin!
Whew, all of this fun is exhausting!
It's too bad that everybody didn't also have Tuesday off to watch the Presidential Inauguration. It would have been awesome to have experienced it in person!
While my Mom went to Mutual on Wednesday, my Dad and I partied with the Montoyas. Can you guess how many hats my Grandpa has? He has 97! Needless to say, I had a hoot trying many of them on.
We watched Shayla and Vincent Friday night and clowned around.Shayla came over Saturday morning and we were just silly!
Wassup!
We can be such cute goofballs!
All aboard! This is my makeshift train. I'll need to make it bigger to accommodate more passengers.
Uncle Russ had an appointment in town so all of the Goldings came to visit for the weekend!
Shayla and Amber had too much fun, apparently, but Haley didn't mind.
I also had to go to sleep and my Dad had homework but the rest of the grown-ups and Alyssa played an awesome game of Acquire. Aunt Noelle secured the win by a large margin. Go Aunt Noelle!
The Goldings were fortunate to have a pool at their hotel and luckily, we had it all to ourselves!
My dad really enjoyed swimming again, especially with Mom and me!
See you next week when Yeonho comes to visit and Shayla's Grandparents fly in for Vincent's birthday!

One Year Week Thirty-Eight

Can you see the resemblance? Every night I say goodnight to Phatboi by rubbing my head on him. He doesn't find it as amusing as I do.
Mom and Dad watched Edan and Isis Saturday morning and the Kelly's also came over to join in the fun. JihoBonnie came back about the same time Grandma and Grandpa stopped by. So we had quite the fun filled full house.
Edan and Shayla were a riot being silly together.
One of Shayla's favorite activities is to play dress up, as you can see, but we both like to dance and play with toys. It's super when we can do both at the same time!
Stay tuned for an update to this post in a few days and next week when Yeonho and the Goldings come to visit!

One Year Week Thirty-Seven

Ha-ha! Why am I so happy? Because I had an awesome week! The Kellys came over on Monday to present a fun filled Family Home Evening where us kids got to wear crowns!
My Grandpa and Great-Grandma finally came back home from California so we had one more Christmas. Yay! My Dad really missed my Grandpa and Great-Grandma. To make up for lost time, my Dad caused my Grandpa to almost have another heart episode from laughing so hard. But Grandpa was fine, albeit after taking his medicine. I thought that laughter was supposed to be the best medicine!
Not only was Aunt Celeste kind enough to let me open up most of her presents, she also indulged my fascination with bows.
Bows for everyone! Who knew I could be such a trend setter?
We had more fun with the Kellys again in the week when Shayla and I showed off our sweet shades.
This is me chillin' out, maxing, relaxing all cool.
My Dad is a great storyteller, especially when he incorporates sign language!

One Year Week Thirty-Six

This week started off great and continued straight on through to the next year. We were very excited to spend so many days with Aunt Celeste and Grandma Denise! Not to mention the great times that I had with both of my parents! They had the entire week off so I was able to see them all day, everyday for another week!
In anticipation of the New Year's celebration at the Kelly's, Shayla came over in the morning to visit while Aunt Missy got her house ready to ring in the new year. Shayla and I always have a blast together and this morning was no exception. We were sure proud of the house that we built for the ducks. We even planted a flower garden for them!
That night, we had so much fun that we didn't think to take even one photo. Sorry! My Grandma Denise also joined us for the fabulously fun night. We were first treated to an amazing dinner followed by fun play time with us kids. After we went down for the night, the adults played the longest game of Vegas Showdown ever. Aunt Celeste got off of work early so she joined Grandma's team mid-game. But their combined might was still no match for the entrepreneuring ingenuity of my Mom's magnificent mastery of management! Go Mom!
The adults thoroughly enjoyed the Space Needle fireworks and music accompaniment on TV, especially since it featured music from Star Wars. Their next game was an old family favorite, Epic Duels. It was Aunt Missy's turn to stand supremely satisfied after the dust cleared. Great job, Aunt Missy!

Since we were unable to share in the celebration with the Yoons due to their work schedule, we instead rejoiced on New Year's day. We kids had an absolute blast playing together on Edan's trampoline and dancing and singing!
We also enjoyed taking in the wondrous sights of the lights on display at the Point Defiance Zoo the next night. They were beautiful and the weather was wonderful!
We began putting away our Christmas decor during the week and while we were sad to box them up, Phatboi took an extreme stance of protest. "You can't shut the box while I'm still in it! Christmas isn't over until I say so." Needless to say, we still have yet to put the Christmas tree box back into storage.
I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted juice or water so I tried them both. At the same time. It tasted even more watered down than the juice my parents give me but I still enjoyed it.
Happy New Year!
