2013, Week Thirty-Five

What better way to start the week than with a picnic with the Garrs, Kellys, Smiths, and the missionaries!
It sure is fun to hang around with good friends.
If you were wondering what Keegan does during Dallin's soccer lessons, here you go.  He strikes cute poses on the swing!
Our sunny streak continues into the summer so more fun times at the Creek's pool.
The other kids didn't show up for a practice this week which meant that Dallin, Vincent, and Shayla had the coaches all to themselves.  Lucky them!
With the weather so wonderful outside, it always seems criminal to schedule a dentist appointment.  But these boys had a ball at the dentist, as usual.  Keegan thought that the giant Mariners bat was hilarious!
And speaking of the Mariners, Dane took Orlando to a game!  The Mariners achieved more hits than the Angels but were unable to convert anything to a scoring run.  The Angels walked away with the win, 2-0.  The guys had a great time regardless.
While Orlando was at the game, Tara and the boys went camping with the ward!  An exciting talent show entertained the crowd.
The kids climbed up and played on this hill right up until dusk when Shayla, Brogan, and Riker started screaming.  At first we thought that they were playing around but after the screaming was followed by crying, we ran over to find that they had disturbed a wasp nest!  Missy's quick reactions helped the kids but Shayla got stung six times, Riker 14, and Brogan 20.  After receiving medical treatment, the trio felt better and by the next day, better still.
Orlando spent the better part of Saturday assisting Dane and the rest of Rain Light Fade in the studio!  It was an intriguing experience and one he hopes will happen again soon.  We love Rain Light Fade!
Lots of play areas and a pancake breakfast made this camping trip a blast!

2013, Week Thirty-Four

Woo!  Dallin is halfway through his summer reading goal!
The adventures with Adam Lee continue.  He wanted to visit his old companions still in the mission field so that's what we did.  We started the day in Carnation with Elder Grogitsky!
And then we met up with Elder Bair in Issaquah!
We tried to meet up with Elder Fitzgerald but it didn't work out.  But we also hung out with Elder Isham and Elder Hardt.
Tara and the boys joined the Stephenson's on their boat for a grand adventure on Lake Washington.
Tara and Dallin had a blast but Keegan, not as much.
They were cruising!
A beautiful day for a swim indeed.  Orlando had tennis lessons so that's why he missed out.
Tuesday was our final day with Adam so we made the most of the short time we had together.
Dallin and Keegan constructed a massive city with train tracks, Hot Wheels tracks, and Lego blocks.
Keegan loved to go Round and Round on his Imagine Dragons.  Dallin enjoyed the marshmallow lasers on his Space Unicorn.
Dallin started soccer lessons!  He's the new kid in a team of experienced players from last year.  Dallin had a difficult first week trying to keep up with his teammates. Thankfully his friend from school, Ethan, is on the team to show him the ropes!
Vincent spent three days and two nights with us and all of our crazy adventures like walking on water with our heads in the clouds.
 They like trains.
More fun times with more friends.
It's a race!
 Whoa Nelly!
Our awesome tree is still giving us delicious apples.
Wherever Keegan goes you can be sure that his favorite toy, Blue Sally, will be there too.
Vincent was head over heels with joy during this weekend with us!
Shayla spent a super silly Sunday with us.

2013, Week Thirty-Three

Look what the three musketeers found in the truck.  Three huge pinecones!
It's not everyday you get to play in a Lotus Elise.
Elder, er, we mean, Adam Lee came up to visit us this week!
Every night was a blast staying up late and playing games with Uncle Danny, Adam, and friends.
We had time before the game so we visited the troll at Freemont.
A beautiful day for a Mariner's game.  In fact, it was too nice.  We decided to get out of the blazing sun and move into the shade.
You'd be cheering too if your team came back from a five run deficit to take the lead 9-7!!  Go Mariners!
We discovered this amazing LOTR inspired artwork on the way to the Science Center.
 The glorious fountain.
Group shot with the iconic Space Needle.
Beautiful blue butterfly. Keegan was so excited by it!
 Experience Music Project.
Adam, Shayla, and Dallin having a fun time posing.
Then it was time to play softball with Danny Smith and a bunch of other fellas from our Stake.
But the day's still not over!  It's time to rock out with Uncle Danny and Mike Lewis!
We started the day at Aunt Missy's house playing together in the sprinkler.
Then we plunged into the pool with the Creeks.
 Jumping for joy!
Despite how this may appear, Orlando had an amazing time with these rapscallions.
Neither Adam nor Uncle Danny had been to SyKart so that was a must do.

Grandma Sheila came to visit again!
Saturday night we went on a quadruple date and saw the incredible Star Trek: Into Darkness movie.  We then enjoyed the delicious Stone Cold Creamery and finally rendezvoused at our place for even more games.
The Stephenson's came over for a super Sunday dinner.
We had a rockin' good time!
