2014, Week Three

We threw a going away party for Grandma Sheila!
Jessalyn tries to be grumpy but she can't help but still look adorable.
There is laughter all around.
Talk about having a ball.
Spending time with Grandma Sheila was super fun. We are going to miss you so much, Grandma Sheila!
Ryan, Aspen, and Zachary spent the day with us...
At the Science Center!
All aboard the Keegan Express.
Even the model trains got swept up in the Seahawks fan fervor.
We were quite impressed with the intricate details of the train setups.
Keegan sprouted wings and is flying high in the sky.
Even Grandpa Mushroom came up to visit with us and cheer on the Seahawks! They played an intense, nail-biting, down to the wire game against the San Francisco 49ers.  We're going to the Super Bowl!!

2014, Week One

Boy did we enjoy ringing in 2014 this week while in snowy Moses Lake.  Tons of family and fun times!
The snow eventually melted but that didn't stop us from enjoying every last bit of it.
Grandma Sheila is getting ready to leave for her one and a half year mission is Hawaii.  We helped her basically get ready to move out so that she can rent her house while serving in Hawaii.  The kids sure enjoyed the piles of empty boxes.  Perhaps even more than Cocoa or Taika.
What started out as an arm wrestling challenge between Justin and Aunt Shannon escalated into a full on arm and leg wrestling tournament.  The adults were laughing so hard that they woke up some of the kids!
We played lots of games like mafia, spoons, Magic, and an advanced version of charades.  Can you guess who Tara is?
Haley looks so happy here because she completely dominated the Pictionary game.  She was pretty phenomenal.
How lucky are these kids to have such amazing cousins.
The last remnants of snow yielded one last snowman.  The kids were pretty proud of it and so were we.
How many Despains does it take to replace a sink nozzle?  If you said three then you'd be wrong because none of those hardworking laborers are Despains.  Tricked ya!
Justin and Orlando scoured all of Moses Lake for more boxes, more boxes, and more boxes.
Dallin and Amber cheesed it up.
Aunt Shannon and Keegan were adorable.
Sadly it was time to return home but our Christmas presents were waiting for us.
Sometimes a little break from shopping is just what is needed.
And sometimes attending a face melting concert featuring the ever impressive Rain Light Fade is also what is needed.
What a great week to start 2014!!
