...at the wonderful beach... we'll have fun, we'll have fun every day of the week!!!"-- that is a little song the Farris family made up many years and beach trips ago! Something so simple, but we to this day still sing it every time we head to the beach! I'm sure my dad made it up on the way to the beach one year when all the kids were fighting in the back seat as a way to try to make peace and force us to get along! =) But it has continued to be a Farris family beach tradition! This week we are at the beach with my parents! Little Robert is at camp for a month, so they invited us to join them at the beach! We were thrilled for the invitation! Although we were just at the beach last April... I feel like alot has changed since then!
1. Virginia Kate is now CRAWLING... which adds a whole new element of fun to the trip!
2. I am pregnant.. which I was last time I was at the beach, but didn't find out I was until the night we got back from the beach!
3. It is about 20 degrees hotter this month than it was in April
Well I guess thats only 3 things but it really does change things up quite a bit! The pregnancy and heat index is wearing me out this go round! I think I might come back whiter than I was when I left, bc I spend most of the time under the umbrella with VK playing in the sand and staying away from the heat!! When we are out from under the umbrella, we are either in the pool or the ocean! The water is so refreshing when it is so hot!! Virginia Kate is loving being able to crawl around where the waves break on the beach! I was sitting behind her in a chair while she was playing in the waves, and I looked the other way for 3 seconds and a rather large waves came and took her out! Bless her heart! It knocked her backwards and she got a nice gulp of the gulf! She didn't know what hit her! I immediately scooped her up and she looked at me with those big eyes of hers like, "Mommm, why did you let that happen!!" I felt so bad and was soon reprimanded by Gigi the over protective grandmother! =) But she was fine and back playing in the waves again in no time! Sam has also started this little game with her where he holds her up in the air with one arm and sings this little tune that is a mix between the A-Game theme song and the star wars theme song... it begins with "Da Da dahhh..." well its kinda hard to type out the tune, but you get the point! Anyway, VK thinks it is the funnest thing and always laughs as she is flown around in the air by her daddy! On another note, we got to have dinner with our sweet friends Maggie and Kirk Russ from Jackson, MS! They are down here on vaca with Kirk's family and met us in Seaside for dinner one night! So fun to get to see them! With the heat the way it is I feel like I have been slacking in my photo ops with VK .... so we haven't gotten quite the amount of pics we got last beach go round... VK has a hard time looking up at the camera bc of the blazing hot sun... but here are a few so far!

We have yet to get a good pic of the 3 of us...but here is one of me and VK!

A few weekends ago my sweet friend Meg Sheridan got married to Bob Watts in Atlanta! It was such a fun weekend to reunite with all my sweet college friends! The Lord has blessed me greatly with the sweetest friends anyone could ask for! It was a precious weekend and I am so happy for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Watts! Here are a few pictures from the occasion!
