Here is our most recent picture of the little bug! She is 24 weeks... and so far, so good! To answer the most frequently asked questions .....
1. When are you due??-- not till NEW YEARS EVE... I know I look like I should be delivering next month, but I have to make it all the way through Thanksgiving and Christmas!! Whew, I get tired thinking about it! =)
2. How do you feel??-- HUGE!!!...but I think all pregnant women feel that way!! Thankfully I am not feeling sick anymore and the heart burn has subsided. PTL! But physically I am exhausted!! I guess chasing a 1 year old around is wearing on me! And emotionally I am a roller coaster!! This is not really something I struggled with when I was pregnant with Virginia Kate--- but it is true what they say... all pregnancies are very different! I feel like I cry at everything!!--- Maybe this is God's way of preparing Sam for a house filled with estrogen!! He has been such a trooper though, and so sweet to me through it all!! I am so thankful to the Lord for such a wonderful supporter in Sam and for his graciousness and patience with me!
3. Do you feel her moving alot?? --- Yes! And what a sweet feeling it is! A few weeks ago she was kicking up into my ribs... then for a few days I wasn't feeling much of that anymore! I started to get worried, but then realized she had flipped breach and is kicking down towards my hips!! And sure enough, when I went for the ultrasound... she is breach!! She still has plenty of time to flip back though!
4. Do you think Virginia Kate knows that there is another baby on the way??-- I personally don't think she has a clue!! Poor thing, her world is going to be rocked come December!! But her great grandmother gave her a baby doll for her birthday and we have been calling it Gracie to get her used to the name! Hopefully she won't be totally confused when the real Gracie is born! Virginia Kate is very interested though, in her baby doll. She loves holding it and cuddling with it. She will rock it back and forth... so sweet! I hope she is just as sweet to her sis when she is born! And VK loves looking at her own newborn pics that we have framed throughout the house and saying "baby"!! She is very into babies right now--- such a girly girl!
5. When are you gonna quit working?? -- So far I am scheduled until my due date! I only work 2 days a week at the hospital (12 hour shifts) and I am planning on working this schedule until Gracie arrives or my doctor puts a halt to it! I worked until my water broke 2 weeks early with VK... so this is the plan for now unless God has another plan! And for the next question: Will you quit working after Gracie is born?-- the answer is not right now! Although I only work 2 days, it actually provides great benefits (health insurance/etc) and its just not something we can let go of right now! I would love to solely be a stay at home mom, but right now that is not God's plan! And I am very thankful for my job and the ways it does provide for our family!
I am sure that was a very boring blog post, but those seem to be very frequent questions these days!! I am continually amazed by the miracle of life and the way it reflects the glory of our creator! What a precious miracle it is!!
