Just stuck

Noah is such a big boy and likes to sit at the table like a big boy too. I was in the living room and came back into the kitchen to the sound of my name (Momma, momma, momma) not panicked but I knew something needed my attention.

He just looks pitiful, it was funny and sad at the same time.

Flag Football

Noah wanting to go on the field

Sept 25 2010

After much discussion, Drew decided to play flag football on Saturday mornings. After the first game, I asked him how he did, he replied , "I am slow." I guess we are getting old. I was exhausted too, trying to keep Noah off the field, away from the geese, and constantly shoving snacks his way. I did however get a few pics.

I do not know how Noah knew to clap for the team after a play, but as soon as the whistle would blow, he looked in the direction of his Daddy and clapped away.

Sick Day Thursday

Sept 23 2010

We had such a rough night on Wednesday. Noah was sick with a cold, teething, the Tylenol ( CVS brand ) had the opposite effect on him. It made him hyper. He did not fall aslepp till Daddy got home at 3:30 in the a.m. He woke up several times and that sweet, sacrificing, Daddy got up with him. Mommy got up him for good at 6:00 a.m. SO......we were both exhausted. Even on Thursday after alternating watching Noah and letting the other parent have a nap we were still tired. Daddy ended up taking the night off, sick day but really for exhaustion reasons.

We were so excited to have Drew home for a night. We cooked Mini burgers and nachos. Daddy babysat while Mommy went to class. It worked out great and we got to spend some unexpected family time at home.

Smiling before Momma goes to class

Oooops he smiled a little bit too big

We even skyped with Babu. My dad has decided to come for a visit in a few weeks. He misses his little buddy.

What is your vote???

Sept 22 2010

In some of Noah's expressions he reminds me of Drew. And in this one I think he mostly looks like Drew, especially the nose and mouth. This by the way is Noah's cheese (about to take a picture face).

We hit a milestone in the Taylor house the other day. Noah said his first two word phrase. Some days he decides he only wants to sign but on the days he wants to talk he TALKS!!!!! Drew was getting ready to go to work, and he sat down to put on his shoes, fix his coffee, grab his lunch (this is usually the routine). Well lately Noah has been so clingy when it is time for Daddy to leave. He walks around holding on to Drew's legs and pushing him away from the door. This is usually when I pick him up to help him say goodbye. I said "Noah tell Daddy bye bye." Noah says in response, "BYE BYE DADDY."

We both stopped in our tracks and smiled, he is getting so big, he hasn't done it since.

Playdate

Sept 21 2010

We had some friends over for a playdate. The kids definitely had a ball and all took turns rocking in Momma's rocking chair. I think we have figured out for sure that Noah has a crush on Logan, he likes to stand in front of her and hold her shoulders and gaze into her eyes it is too funny.
Noah has gotten really good at doing the TOP, he watches Daddy and mimicks him.

Yard Sale, Farmers Market, Spray paint, Mini Makeover, Football

Sept 18 2010

I left the house at 6:40 Sat morning and head to the Yard Sale with a friend. Scored a bookcase for $10.00 whole dollars. A little spray paint and some rearranging later and we had a mini makeover.

Noah moved up too. He is getting to be such a big boy, he loves books, so we added the small bookshelf to his room. We recently have been working on being a helper and cleaning up. We even got a new Curious Buddies dvd that Noah is enamored with. So this was a great way to teach him to put books back up after he is finished. He also loves putting things in the trash can.

Brush em' Brush em' Brush em'

Sept 15 2010

Noah is always asking for our toothbrushes. Grana sent him one and we brush on occasion. But we need to get in the habit with all these teeth. The 11th tooth just broke through today, with the 12th not far behind. I was trying to help him but he decided the could do it on his own.

Rinsing.

Up and down.

And across.

Showing off his pearly whites.

So today........

Sept 15 2010

We found the wooden clogs that we bought for Noah in Amsterdam. We were living in Kenya and flew home to surprise our families for Christmas. During our lay over in Amsterdam we went out in the city and toured a little. We went to the wooden shoe place, and since this was the first place I felt Noah kicking around (pregnant at 15 1/2 weeks) we bought him some shoes. I thought they were so cute and they would be a novelty item we would just keep around a tell him a story about one day.

Well I put them on him today to see if they would fit and he loved them. He wanted to keep them on, and when I decided to put them away he would go get them and bring them to me. He slipped and slid all over the hardwood so the carpet was his friend today.

Here I am in Amsterdam, pregnant with little Nuhu.

Here he is wanting me to put them on him again.

He read in them.

He watched TV in them.

He danced around in them.

Long Sleeves

Sept 11 2010

We had a cool Saturday morning, and decided to pull out one of Noah's long sleeve outfits. We put it on and he looked at me all confused, kept pulling on his arms and sleeves, and got frustrated. I do not think he remembers winter clothes from last season, and since he loves being naked most of the time anyway, well I still think he looks cute.

Friday

Sept 10 2010

We walked for a fast trip to the park, it looks cool outside, but once you are walking up hills and toting toddlers, Momma's get warm real quick.

Hungry Hippo

Sept 9 2010

Lately Noah has been so hungry, eating or snacking all day long. He no longer wants Mom or Dad to feed him anything, he can do it himself. Well we had roast and potatoes and carrots for lunch. I love that he is already a meat and potatoes boy but......As a CLEAN MOM, I pride myself in not letting my son get too dirty. He is bucking the system. You may not see too clearly but in the video he has gravy/broth all over his belly and mouth and hands. YUCK. He was so sticky. He is doing one of his favorite things, rubbing the back of his head with his messy hands. And he thought it was so fun when he clapped his hands together, they now stick.

He had so much fun in his new found messiness.

WE WENT STRAIGHT TO THE BATH.

Here he is just finishing eating Dill Pickles, he can not get enough of them.
