Easy as PIE

Start with some Berries

Lemon juice, sweetened condensed milk (the good stuff), and cool whip (this makes everything better)

Add in cut and washed strawberries.

Fold in berries to the mixture.

A shortbread or graham cracker crust.

This is his "Can I really lick the bowl face."

Licking all the goodness out of the bowl.

April 30 2011

After our plethora of picking strawberries, I needed at taste of home. My Mom always makes this pie around the 4th of July (decorates the top with strawberries, blueberries, in the shape of an American Flag) and I just love it.

But as easy as this recipe is I always forget it. So I called Mom yet again for her to email me the recipe. And here it is. You can substitute any kind of fruit you want and it makes for a great pie. A great afternoon of family in the kitchen, licking the bowls, and eating the leftover fruit. Yum!!!

Strawberry Pie

1 can Dime Brand sweetened condensed milk
1/4 C lemon juice
12 oz cool whip
about 2 C strawberries (or blueberries or anything else))

stir together and chill - can put in pie plate, desert bowls etc.

Working Hard

Momma and Noah

Empty bucket

We better get to pickin

Oh hey Momma!!!

Yummy Lettuce

He is getting tired at this point.

Water break

This is what I would have rather been picking!!! YELLOW SQUASH!!!! MMMMMmmmmmm!!

April 29 2011

This is the second year Noah and I have been to pick Strawberries at the Collard Patch. I was just waiting till it was time again this year. It was so much fun to see how different Noah was this year. He actually liked carrying the bucket and picking (for about 15 minutes). Last year he just ate them off the vine. But this year he was more interested in telling Momma, "Thank you, Thank you," everytime I would drop a strawberry in his bucket.

We have been working on manners, also. "Yes Mam, and Yes Sir," Well that is as far as we have gotten so far. We will have to teach him "No Thank you," later. AND there is always room for improvement with working on his listening skills. I really think he tunes me out sometimes.

He also has been on this naming kick. Naming whether this person or that person is a BOY or GIRl, MOM or DAD. We will see someone walking, or even a book we are reading and he will tell me whether he thinks they are a Momma or not. A Daddy or not, and more importantly if they are a kid whether they are a boy or girl.

Small Group in the Park

April 24 2011

Easter afternoon we all got together in the park to spend some time together.

Boys playing ball

Letting Noah bat

And he hit it, RUN, RUN

Attempting to hunt eggs, but just looking at the flowers.

Finally getting a few.

Happy Birthday Griffin

April 23 2011

We have such a good time with the Isham fam. It was Griffin's 2nd birthday and Noah had so much fun at a party that wasn't even his. It really gave me confidence that toddler birthday's can be pulled of successfully. As a Momma I just need to relax and let them run around. It was SPORTS everything and was wonderful.

A little egg hunting.

The birthday boy.

Wonderful cupcakes

And a face full of pizza

About to blow out the candle

Noah was so interested in all Griffin's presents.

And running around chasing, balls, playing with the kids, and sports games.

Some-BUNNY loves Noah

April 21-23 2011

Well actually lots of some BUNNIES. He has been getting packages left and right. The mail man is always at our apt.

LIKE:
Aunt Becky and Uncle Frank, Chris and Rhonda in California.

Noah loved these eggs and the candies in them

They love Luke too....Look at all the cute clothes they sent.

The DVD tasted good too.

Loved the Big brother shirt.

LIKE:
Mimi. This box came right after Noah's nap, so he was still a little groggy.

It didn't take long for him to get in to it.

He loved his new Car PJ's. The ran around after his bath looking at his pants saying "BEEP, BEEP"

LIKE:
Grana and Babu. The Edible arrangement guy likes our apt too. He comes pretty often throughtout the year. I loved the bouquet.

Noah loved the Chocolate Pineapple covered BUNNY.

The evidence was left all over his face by the time he was done.

LIKE:
Pops and Gigi. This rainy day surprise was so fun to open. Momma especially loved the bubble wrap to help pack dishes later today.

Noah loved the cars

Mickey was fun too.

Did I mention Noah loved the cars?? He played with them all afternoon. Then had to watch the cars movie to go along with it. He just kept lining them up, and we practiced counting them.

Yeah our little guy was pretty spoiled by the time this week was over.
