38 weeks

June 30 2011

Well I am still around 3 cm, and no progression for this week. He is happy. Drew said I must just have a good womb. HOTEL WOMB that is. We will just wait to see when he decides to show up. I did gain 2 more lbs this week, but that could have been all the ice cream cake too. B/P was 100/74 pulse 86 and Luke's heartrate was normal.

As uncomfortable as I am and as much as I (literally) dream at night about my water breaking and going into labor, we are blessed to have a healthy baby boy in there just marinating to perfection.

Here is the update via babycenter.com
Two weeks and counting. Gearing up for the big day, it's going through many changes now in anticipation of labor: some you're aware of, such as your baby dropping into your pelvis (easier breathing, more pelvic pressure) and others that you probably are not aware of, such as cervical dilation and effacement.
Your baby has really plumped up. He weighs about 6.8 pounds and he's over 19 1/2 inches long. He has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold his hand for the first time! His organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DREW AND DAE DAE!!!!

Drew finally caught up with Mommy. Big 29. We had a full day of family outings, and memories. Did a little shopping and later had the parents over for dinner. AND MARBLE SLAB birthday cake. (good enough reason to get anyone together)

Noah honestly thought the gathering was for him. He had all kinds of attention and hands to grab, pull to which ever toy he wanted, or spoil him. He had a ball.

The water hose

June 26 2011

Our child is obsessed with this new discovery. THE WATER HOSE!!!!! Since we lived in an apt before Noah really has never been around water hoses much. Well now that I planted a few flowers, and water them often, he is right beside me wanting to water anything and everything he can. SO this is our entertainment on hot days, well let's be honest any day.

At least we don't let him play in the front yard butt naked, right?? Oh wait we have. Don't judge

Update on us "3"

June 23 2011

I honestly hoped we would have Luke here on the outside to update you with but he seems to be getting Fat and Happy inside Momma's belly. I am going to the Dr. every week now, and all was good. SO at 37 weeks I had a 120/80 B/P, pulse of 101, no weight gain from last week, but am now up to 3 full cm dialated. Luke's at 149 bpm heartrate and in a good position to deliver.

Here is the update via babycenter.com

Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel.

We have been getting Luke's room ready and spending some good time with Noah as a family of 3. It won't be much longer that we can give him our full attention. He has decided to start cutting his 2 year old bottom molars this week so he is sleeping really well at nap time and waking up a lot at night. He wants Daddy all the time now, not sure what this about (perhaps he knows that Luke is making his debute SOON). He did have a good snuggle afternoon with Momma on the couch one afternoon. I was thrilled to hug on my little guy.

We are also counting down the days till Uncle Jeremy gets home from China. He has been there since mid Fed and we are anxious to spend sometime with him once he is stateside again. We all got to skype with him the other day and even Noah was excited to see his face and had a pretty long (mostly jibberish) conversation over video.

We had a lazy morning wondering around the museum. We have a family pass now so I know we will be going alot just to get Noah out of the house. It was overcast and later rained so the morning was really almost cool. Perfect for walking through the woods and all the trails.

Happy Father's Day

June 19 2011

We had a great Father's Day. We spent time at Babu and Grana's for lunch. Later after a not so good nap from Noah we headed to see Pops and Gigi and Aunt Bryce.

Chunky Farm

June 18 2011

We headed to Chunky MS with Babu and Grana on Saturday morning to pick the blueberries. It was Noah's first time at the farm and will probably be my last for some months after Luke comes. He played in the orchard for a while, pretending to cut the grass like Babu. We were busy picking berries, and then we rode to the basin and pond to see how much everything had changed. It was really different from when I visited last, and really different from all my memories growing up, visiting in the summers.

Two of a kind

June 17 2011

These blonde haired boys meet again. We invited Sarah and Will over again. We had not seen them since our last visit to MS. I am not sure if they remembered each other but they had fun. Noah was trying to herd Will around the house by calling his name and saying "MON" c'mon. It was fun to see how big Will had gotten. And that he is doing his best to walk now. He is pretty good with about 5-7 steps in a row.

36 weeks

June 16 2011

Tuesday marked the 36 week of being pregnant with Luke. I definitely have felt a difference. I feel like he has dropped but it could have been all the busyiness of moving and and getting adjusted to a new place to live.

Thursday I went in for my appt. My B/P was 111/77, pulse 109, Luke had a heartrate of 159 bpm, and after an sonogram we had a better look at our boy. He is about 5 lbs. 15 oz. as of right now. Measuring and looking alot like Noah did. I could even see that top lip like Daddy and Noah have, so I think he will the same mouth.

After a few tests and a checkup. Dr. Meck concluded that I was already at 2 to 2 1/2 cm dialated. Progressing along. If I am around 5 cm next week, she will consider breaking my water to let me go ahead an start contracting so I can try to delivery VBAC. Crazy I know. I could be meeting my 2nd son in one week.

Here I am with Luke at 36 weeks

Here I am with Noah in Kenya at 36 weeks, with a horrible sinus infection (that is the only way I remember this photo, I felt miserable)

Dae Dae and Noah, babysitting so Daddy and I could both go to the appointment.

Here is some more of our week. We have gotten interested in the poddy again. So this time we went and bought a poddy chair (Mr. froggy), big boy underwear in assorted characters. Toys Story, and Cars. Noah seemed excited about the pics on the booty of the underwear, so we (Daddy) will be hitting poddy training again next week full force. We did have success one day at home with Momma. I was so proud.

We are making Noah earn his keep already, he loves to vacuum lately, with the real thing. So why not put him to good use.
