We were invited to our neighbors birthday. He was turning 3. Yes 3. They go all out for parties here. I was wondering why everyone asked me at Luke's party a couple of months ago, why he didn't have any friends there (just family and 5 neighbors), well here is why. They invite everyone. And they expect you to come. And EAT.
The boys played tug of war. And were running around like mad men.
Luke go a little into the testosterone. And well he was beating up the kid that is behind Noah in the picture above before the night was over. I know your thinking oh how cute he's "getting that kid" / No really our Luke doesn't take anything from anyone. And even when it's not given, he gives a punching to any unlucky poor soul. Mimi finally had to take this little rebel in for the night and bathe and put him to bed.
I just thought this was humorous. Getting the embers going with a hairdryer. It's like something you would see in Kenya.
Luke did find a friend that acted as a baby sitter for me. I had one man tell me 'in english' that he would not want to have me as a mother. That I need to lighten up a bit, I watched my kids too, closely. I have never taken myself for one of those 'hovering parents' but Turkish parents must be more laid back.
Just our family pic of the night.
Luke all sweaty and worn out with the birthday boys' mom.
The raging party.
Cake time.
Noah's face painted and ready for a bath pic. It was almost 10:00 before I got this one in the bed.
