Lottie Moon Christmas Tea

When we came on staff at FBC Canyon......we really stepped into a blessing.
Such rich long lasting traditions already so healthily modeled supporting our missionaries.
Me and my girl ready for the tea.
some great friends......so easy to love these ladies.  Lydia and Julie.

Every year the quilt ministry auctions off quilts for this event to raise monies for LM.
Lydia and Anna gathering cookies for the tables.

Cookies and ginger bread houses are auctioned off also for Christmas parties in the community.

Some of my favorite quilt ladies.

The sweetest family

My friend D'Arcy and Marlow
And our sidekick Mrs. Joan (aka our realtor)

two of our tables with college girls.

These ladies are so fun.

Telling about the work from a first account perspective.

We raised 6,000 this year from the tea,  so encouraged by the support of these ladies to give.

Riding lessons

Our new friends Mike and Kathie are just the best.
The graciously let us come over to let the kids ride one cold December day.

I just love how they rode around the pasture and quietly had good conversation.  That sums up the relationships here.  Just good ole people spending time with one another.

Anna got to ride the tiny horse.

Sweet girl waiting her turn.
Well I don't think she's pouting about it, but I could be wrong.

We put her party dress on her and took pictures......since she will have a pony birthday.

She loved it.

And then Noah learned how to desaddle the horse.....and just how heavy it is.
