Weekend Wrap-Up!

Our weekend was VERY boring! Jeremy worked all weekend so I spent the weekend playing inside with my favorite girl!! We are going through teething again so that isn't so much fun so we are just trying to keep Olivia as COMFORTABLE as possible. I took friday off because of the horrible weather we had. The only "venturing" we did was a grocery trip on friday and then on sunday Olivia and I went to visit Jer at work and just hung out there for a couple of hours. :)

{oh! APPARENTLY the striped carter's hoodie was a popular choice for Miss Olivia this weekend because she is wearing it in almost EVERY picture! I SWEAR we put our child in clean clothes every day :) }

FRIDAY

SATURDAY

SUNDAY

MONDAY

oh Applebee's, how we LOVE half off app's! :)

(We got the potato twisters-we wouldn't recommend them, Quesadilla's and our FAV veggie patch pizza! Mmmm! I also got a WELL deserved bahama mama that was only half drank and Jer got a bloody mary.)

How was your weekend?

February Craft of the Month; Nursery Picture Frame

{I am linking up with Becky for February Craft of the Month! My "Something Green" is kind of cheating, I considered this "green" because these are left over's from previous crafts I had made!}

This project was VERY easy! I made it while Olivia was a "NB" (actually 3 months but LOOKED and felt like a nb) sleeping in my arms.

All you need:

-a frame (I had one that was already painted. It had been purchased at Joann's)

-Scrapbooking stickers

Steps:

1.) Take picture frame and layout letters for "quote."

2.) Put on stickers

3.) Put in a cute picture!

"My Prince did come his name is daddy"

That's it! SUPER easy! :)

The March of Dimes

So tonight I was online looking up ideas for shirts for a fundraiser/walk my family and I are doing in honor of Olivia benefitting The March of Dimes. While on google, each shirt linked back to different blogs for women who have lost their children due to being born premature or different issues with their organs.
(June 4, 2011)

Reading these blogs made me think of a post I had read from one of my favorite blogs while she was pregnant. She had read things about pregnant women and had spent her night sobbing and her hubby told her to stop looking things up online.

I never read these sorts of things while pregnant, I never thought that I would have a baby early, sick or with a disability. Now that we have almost lost, it makes me SO scared to even think about trying to get pregnant again. I had always wanted a boy and a girl. (actually 2 boys and 1 girl) but now knowing what we have been through, I don't know if I could do it again especially if the outcome wasn't the same.
(June 11, 2011)

I know how lucky we are. Lucky to have such a healthy baby. A baby that beat the odds. Olivia was born with a 10% chance to survive. Now she is THRIVING! I can't imagine life with out her.

(July 10, 2011)

Please consider a donation in Olivia's honor to The March of Dimes. Every dollar helps, and it is because of The March of Dimes that we have our miracle HOME with us! :)

Happy Weekend!

I took today off work due to the snow/bad roads and we enjoyed a family day today! :)

Hope you all have a fun weekend! I'm staying in tonight enjoying this yummy homemade hot chocolate :)

9 months

Today our little girl turned 9 months!

We got her 9 month pictures taken!

We used "Buster" and silly faces/noises to get some smiles
We used headbands and hair bows

wore pretty outfits

made MANY faces

and posed many different ways!

Chewed on your hands!

smiled and giggled!

and showed us all that you found your feet! :)

You are SO curious! ANY new noise and place you see you are AMAZED! Every days things to me and daddy are either the most funny or eye opening to you! You LOVE to kick, wiggle, MOVE, MOVE, MOVE! You are a "rock n roller" and can roll tummy to back and back to tummy. You are SO flexible, ever since you have found your feet they have constantly been in your mouth or by your face!. You love to arch your back when laying down, sitting in your bumbo, or being carried (which scares the day lights out of me bc I'm afraid you will hurt yourself). You LOVE that you can ALMOST sit up and stand with support. You LOVE the sound of your voice, you are a SHRIEKING machine! Buster your fisher-price doggy and Ellie your elephant security blankie are your bffs! (obv mommy and daddy too!). You have LOVED everything we have fed you: Sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, avocado, bananas, peaches, apples, and will eat rice cereal as long as it is mixed with something. You are a GREAT eater BUT a little messy :) You are a thumb and finger sucker and it is SO cute!!

We love everything about you, and how BIG of a personality you already have! You make EVERYTHING and DAY more fun!!

Happy 9 months Miss Olivia Adele!

***(we should be getting Olivia's pictures in about 2 weeks! I can't wait to post them! From what I saw, they are going to be CUUUUTE! )***

Dear Olivia

Here it is hours before you turn 9 months old. You fell asleep in my arms and I have yet to put you down. I love the feeling of you sleeping on me. I love listening to you breathe. Such a miracle you are. Everything you do amazes me.

Tonight you played in your baby Einstein walker/activity center and you had a great time! You were reaching for toys, even getting on your tippy toes like a little ballerina. We played lots of peak-a-boo and did our night-night routine where we make lots of silly noises when I change your diaper and clothes.

I really do enjoy every second of our time together. I can't believe in 3 short months you will be ONE. Not one DAY, not one WEEK, not one MONTH, ONE YEAR!! While a part of me feels sad the other is full of other emotions. I'm happy, I'm proud, and I'm thankful! To think we almost lost you, I just have no words bc I just can't imagine life with out you!

Sleep tight angel face! Tomorrow you will be 9 months old and you have your photos! Sweet dreams, mommy loves you! Xoxo

Weekend Wrap-Up

Well I am doing my weekend wrap-up a LITTLE late! We had a busy weekend but not too many photo's to share!

FRIDAY

Friday night after work I came home to play with THIS cute girl!

Can someone PLEASE tell me when she got big enough to STAND and have her feet TOUCH the ground?!

After my little princess fell asleep I had some moscato and homemade antipasto salad then fell asleep on the couch watching "Say Yes to the Dress," SUCH an exciting life I lead...

SATURDAY

I SUCK at life because I took like NO pictures on sat! Jeremy took the day off so we went to Grand Rapids for a little day trip. We met up with our friends who live in GR. We had lunch at Marie Catribs went to Bed Bath and Beyond (I found an almost $100.00 store credit! SCORE!) and then went to the mall. Then we went back to see their new place (which has inspired me to do SO much redecorating!) and before I knew it Jeremy and our friend's hubby had downed a dbl shot and 3 dbl soco drinks! haha So then we went to dinner at Monelli's Italian Grill and Sports Bar which I would HIGHLY recommend! We got Calamari, bruschetta and the Brew City Fries for apps and then I got their chicken Parm! Everything was AMAZING!!

SUNDAY

Sunday I spent the late morning cleaning and hanging out with this flexible girl!

Jer and I made a big steak dinner and relaxed while watching our shows...we are an OLD, MARRIED couple...and I wouldn't have it ANY other way!

Walking to Liv

Hi all!

As you all know The March of Dimes is a foundation that Jeremy and I (and one day Olivia) hold close to our heart. If it weren't for the funding they helped raise, Olivia would most likely not be with us today. Jeremy and I decided we will be walking in the March for Babies through The March of Dimes in honor of Olivia. We feel so incredibly blessed that we have Olivia here today and have never felt so strong about supporting such an amazing organization.

We decided to join the Walk in Troy, MI at The Somerset Collection on April 29, 2012. We have started a page http://www.marchforbabies.org/team/OliviaAdele and are asking everyone to donate just $1. The money we raise will support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives and it will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.

Thank you for helping us give all babies a healthy start! We are very excited to be a part of March for Babies this year!

Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. We're walking because we want to do something about this!

Love,
Jeremy, Megan and Olivia

Weekend Wrap-Up!

This past weekend Olivia and I made the trek throught the blizzard/storm downstate for my cousin's Bat Mitzvah. Sunday was spent being bums/recovering from TOO much driving!

FRIDAY

Playing while I was packing

Our 2 hour trip turned into FOUR hours! Felt so bad for baby girl! WORST snow storm!! Glad we made it safe!!

Our "overnight" bag! haha

Getting a GOOD stretch!

After Olivia had her bottle it was time for mama to dine! I hadn't eaten since breakfast that am and we didn't arrive until 10:15, this came at 10:45

LARGEST plate of chicken tenders and fries I had ever laid eyes on!

I just couldn't finish...I needed Jer's help! :(

Our girls night sleepover! The big bed at The Double Tree Hotel was AMAZING! :)

SATURDAY

At the Synagogue

At the party!

The theme was a "Summer party" so the place cards were sunglasses one side had name, other side had table number. Here is my nephew Wally rockin' his! :)

Olivia with her cousin Cain (our G-D son), neither were very happy and just wanted their mommy's!
Before getting ready to leave to head home!

In the bathroom, after changing her she was playing in the mirror so HAD to snap a pic! :)

SUNDAY

Olivia fell asleep after I gave her her am bottle so I brought her back to bed with me :)

Later on, playing in her crib! She LOVES her lamb mobile!

WHAT a tough life!! haha

Later on that night I found out Jer had scheduled a babysitter and we went to dinner and saw "The Vow." It was SO good! :)

After we came home we took some "family" photos :)
