We have transformed our coat closet into Carter's reading and game closet. He really likes to sit in there with Will.
"Mom, Will needs a book too. Can you close the door?"

Will is playing on the ground. Enter Carter [stage left]. Carter takes a toy away from Will.

Mom: Carter that wasn't very nice. You are acting like a mean brother.
Carter: I'm LAMAN!!!!!
Mom: No, we don't want to be like Laman.
Carter: I'm LEMUEL!!!!!!!
Mom: No, Carter. We want to be nice like Nephi.
Carter: Oh, I'm Nephi!
Mom: Good grief...
Carter: GOOD GRIEF, WILL!!!


Exit Mom [stage right] to find a piece of chocolate so she can adequately deal with the day.

Once upon a time (during my first semester of college) my roommates and I couldn't afford toilet paper so we went to the student center and rolled up toilet paper and put it in our coats and backpacks and carried it home to use. Impressive, eh?

Here are the boys in the hats I knitted for them. They look nerdier in this picture than they normally do--I meant the hats.

When I was in college, my grandma gave me a book called Thoughts of a Grasshopper. It's a book of essays and it had a few on keeping a journal and the different ways of doing it. One way was to write lists--lists of whatever you want. So since Jeremy's at the Jazz game and the boys are alseep --I'm going to post a list instead of doing something productive.

I can knit hats! I just made two really cute ones. I made a striped beanie for Will and I'm making one for Carter too and eventually I'll make on for Jeremy and me.

I made this one for my friend/cousin, Jenn, who lives in Maryland. She's having a little girl in a couple weeks. I tried it on Will to see how it would look on. Even though it's cute, I don't think pink is really his color...
