so we went on a trip

We went on a trip. It was warm, it was cold, we laughed, we cried, we freaked out, we calmed down, and we got to hug Mickey Mouse and hang out with Woody and Buzz. I was going to post our trip in reverse order (a la my favorite Seinfeld episode) but somehow I messed that up so now when I get all the pictures uploaded it's going to be all messed up like a puzzle. Fun! And I didn't take any pictures of Lizzy with her great-grandparents which makes me totally sad.

Lizzy and her cousin, Sophie, chilling before our long ride home.

This is not the best picture. It's kind of hard to pick the best one when they look so small on the blogger upload thingy. I should have found the best one first--I am obviously not a perfectionist :)

Watching old school Goofy movies and eating snacks on the way home.

Lizzy is a fantastic traveller and such a good baby. We are so, so, so grateful she is in our family and so glad we brought her with us (not that we would have left her behind).

We made the trip home in two days and arrived in five pieces--and with all our souvenirs!

Indiana Jones and his sidekick made it home too.

Day Five -- San Diego Temple

The real reason for our trip was to attend our cousin, Mike's, wedding in the San Diego Temple. As you can see, we got some KILLER pictures, non of which include the bride or groom. Awesome. All sarcasm aside, the temple was awesome and so pretty!Lovely parking lot they have at the temple.

Day Five -- Moonlight Beach

Carter, Will, and Lizzy have the worst parents in the world. It's true. In an effort to provide an unforgettable opportunity to see the actual ocean, they provided an unforgettable opportunity to be freezing cold and miserable--and an opportunity to get sand all over their Lunchables (which are a very rare treat). What poor children.

Lizzy miserably (and dorkily) wearing two hats one for cold and one to block the wind--neither did its job.

Carter enjoying the sand and not looking at the camera.

Jacob, our cousin, who woke up at the "crack" of dawn to play on the beach--(lame joke).

Will freezing and very wet.

Everyone but Lizzy who was buried in her car seat under blankets and a bath towel.

Minus the wind and rain, it was a great day to be at the beach. There were only like two other people there. And we got to see my awesome cousin, Katie, in the parking lot before we left which was a fun bonus. We ought to go back sometime.
