Smiles!

She's getting pretty good at smiling! I think her favorite person is her dad, she smiles at him ALL the time!

Holes in the Wall

So... this is what I woke up to this morning:

Let me explain...

Logan tends to do strange things in his sleep sometimes. Last night was one of them. At about 4 am suddenly Logan leaps out of bed! And yells "AHHHHHHHHHH" (this was a VERY angry yell) and starts punching the wall as hard as he can! And then he turns and walks towards the window. Of course the entire time I'm like "Logan? Logan? Wake up! Logan!?"
So he walks over to the dresser and starts putting on a pair of pants. And since we are staying at Logan's Parent's house right now and his parents room is right next to ours, his mom comes hurrying up to our door and asks if everyone is okay. I answered, "I think so" and then she went back to bed. And Logan finally woke up and came over to the bed and crawled back in. Then he looked over at the wall and said, "Crap" and I looked over (squinting because I wasn't wearing my glasses) and realized there were 3 holes in the wall. Well two dents and one BIG hole. And then I asked if his hands were okay, and I saw this:
My poor husband...

I also want to add that he has had a few very real, loud dreams like this (no holes in the wall before though) and in them he is always protecting me or Emma... so we're safe. He wont end up accidently punching me in the face :)

Logan's Graduation!

Logan graduated last Thursday, it was extremely exciting! He graduated in Business with clusters in Chemistry and Biology for Pharmacy School... which, for those of you who don't know, he got accepted to!! We are headed to ISU in Pocatello for the next 4 years. I am really proud of Logan... I wasn't worried at all that he wouldn't make it... he's way too smart! They would have been dumb not to accept him!

Anyway, so below are just some pictures from his graduation:

Conference Weekend

*After conference in Utah we headed back home to IF and stopped by Nate's in Logan. It was Emma's first time meeting Nate... and obviously we know who the favorite Uncle is! She just smiled and cooed at him like crazy!*

*In between conference sessions... all the boys playing Halo*
*During conference (or maybe right before), check out Grandpa Campbell's lovely hair thing.*
*Grandpa walking around with Emma*
*Not sure what to call Nathan as a relative to Emma... he's Logan's cousin... what does that make him to Emma? Anyway, he just wasn't quite sure how to handle her :)*
*Her cute little purple outfit. I love it... but EVERY time I put it on her, her diaper EXPLODES!! And then it stains the pants and I have to wash them...*

*Grandma Campbell napping... I think during conference ;)*
*Doesn't that expression say to you, "Wow mom, whatever you just did was kind of dumb."*

So Emma sleeps really well most nights. She's slept 8 hours a few times, but usually sleeps 5 or 6 hours. I LOVE IT. Anyway, there have been a couple of nights where she wont go to sleep or cries for a couple hours before falling asleep. One night Logan was really annoyed and tired and he told her he was going to give her away! And of course that didn't calm her down, but eventually he got her calmed down after singing to her (her favorite song is You Are My Sunshine) and then he told her he wasn't serious before and that he would never give her away, and she gave him the BIGGEST smile. It was adorable! Another time she wouldn't calm down and go to sleep and she was really grumpy because she was exhausted so Logan decided to take her for a drive. He packed her in her carseat and got all ready to go and then Logan's brother asked where he was going (Ian and family have been visiting--I'll blog more about that later) and Logan said, "I'm taking her to the dump and leaving her there." and Ian was like "What? Why??" He thought Logan was serious... it was pretty funny...

*She sat in the swing for 45 minutes!! But... I had to keep her binki in her mouth and the only way it would stay was to tuck the blanket around her mouth!*
*I just love this face*
*Emma's started getting better at laying on the floor by herself. Grandma Obray has been training her so I can start getting things done!*
She's decided laying around by herself is kind of nice for a little while, but not for very extended periods of time. One day I left her lying on the bed while I was cleaning up the room and all of a sudden she started SCREAMING in pain! So I hurried over and she had a handful of her own hair and was pulling it as hard as she could!! So I had to get her hair out of her hand... because of course she had no idea what was causing that terrible pain :) It was funny and I wish I could get a picture of it... but I don't want her torturing herself while I do... :)

*Logan and John won the Newel K. Whitney award. It's an award for Business Management majors. It was a pretty cool honor. They had a nice breakfast and awards ceremony. I'm really proud of him.*
*I think she looks like a cute little puppy when she sleeps like this*

Life Stories

I have a lot of fun random stories about Emma and how she is growing up so fast, so that is what this blog is about. Some of the pictures go with stories and others are just for fun!

*Emma's 2nd Sunday! Grandma Obray bought her this dress*

She's always so good at church. At least so far... she sleeps basically the whole time and then gets home and wakes up STARVING!! And then gets really mad :) Logan and I are terrible on Sundays; we take long naps all day and Emma sleeps with us and then she wont sleep at night... makes for TERRIBLE Mondays. But hopefully we'll get better at that.

*She was hungry! Wait... isn't she always?*
*Baby shower pictures! If you look closely you can see the cutest smile on her face!*
The shower was fun! Emma was pretty good for it, she was hungry at the beginning and I had to nurse her, but then she was happy and awake and then sleeping for the rest of it. A lot of people came and it was a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone who came!!

*I had to post this pictures of Maile, she's such a cutie. She was in the nursery that Logan and I served in for a year. She was very attached to Logan, and of course, they are best friends when we go visit their family!*
Funny story about Maile: In nursery she was very possessive about Logan. So when other kids would be sitting on his lap she would come and push them off. And Logan would say that they needed to sit on his lap for the moment and she would say, "No, they don't. They want to sit on ____(some other nursery leader's) lap." And then she would push them to try and get them off! It was pretty funny!

*Logan loves to prop her up on the boppy, and really, it does position her for some fun pictures.*
She's a good little girl. Happy pretty much all the time. I love to just sit and talk to her and watch her. She doesn't spit up very often... but when she does, it can be a lot of fun... ha  ha  ha. I was nursing her in a mothers chair on campus and she ate and ate and ate, and then spit it ALL up all over her nice blanket. She wasn't very happy about that. She also likes to poop explosively and if we haven't put the diaper on just right it explodes all over, up her back and all over her cute clothes. But we still love her!

*This one is fun! That is Hailee, Mike, and Bro Johanson. Mike is my little brother and Hailee just turned 16, so I set them up on a blind date, and Logan and I doubled with them. So Bro Johanson brought out his machete so Mike would make sure to take care of his daughter. The date was a lot of fun, we went and ate at Original Thai (Logan's FAVORITE restaurant in Rexburg) and then we went bowling... none of us got over 100, it was pathetic... but fun :)*

*I love when she sleeps on her tummy for her naps. She tucks her little legs under her bum and her bum sticks up in the air. I know she's covered in blanket, but I thought it was cute!*

*I just like this picture because it shows how little she is. So random story to go with this picture. The other night I had just got Emma to sleep (Logan was already sound asleep) and I laid down on the bed and suddenly Logan jumps up to the end of the bed all in a panic, and he's like "where is she, where is she???" and I was like she's just right here asleep, she's fine. And he calmed right down and lay back down... of course completely not remembering this in the morning. I love it when Logan talks in his sleep... it can be hilarious. But to me, this little incident just showed how much he loves his daughter, when he worries about her in his sleep, she's already an important part of his life.*

*Her little bum up in the air again, but this time she's sound asleep on my chest. She likes it there and I think it's because its warm and she can hear my heart beat, and it's a comforting sound."

Emma's favorite thing in the world right now is light. She'll stare up at a light for long periods of time without blinking. I'm quite sure it's because Heaven was such a bright place and it's just a reminder to her. She's also taken to staring at pictures of Christ. I'm positive she knows who he is, because she'll just stare and stare at those pictures with kind of an intelligent look on her face and a light in her eyes.
