Three Months!

On Sunday Emma turned three months!! I already look back at pictures and am amazed and sad at how much she's grown so fast!!

Milestones:
Smiles all the time!
Loves to laugh!
Has discovered her toes (not to the grabbing stage yet, but she will stare at them for long periods of time, especially when you touch or tickle them).
She loves for us to hold her up so she can stand.
Her back is getting stronger so she can almost sit up!
She also loves to hold her legs STRAIGHT up in the air when laying on her back.
When in her carseat she leans forward and tries to get out.
She can finish eating in about 15 minutes!!! (compared to earlier when she could possibly eat for 2 hours)
Her average night sleep is about 7 hours.
She's super big! She is bigger than some babies 3 months older than her!!
She gets cuter every day.
She loves to hold her hands in fists.
She grabs the bottom of her shirt or dress and always pulls it up to her face (not very modest at this point :)
She still has blue eyes!
She loves to talk to us (gurgle and sometimes even roll her R's!)
She doesn't spit up or poop on her clothes very often... but when she does IT'S MASSIVE.
She loves to look at things.
She loves to walk around outside and see all the green.
When I pick her up she locks her arm around my arm for security (so cute).
She blows bubbles ALL the time.
She's a kicker (I'm planning on some soccer in the future ;)
When she smiles her eyes look more almond shaped (very cute, especially since they are blue!)
She always stretches really big when she wakes up in the morning and smiles so big!
And I'm sure there are many more small things I could say, but we'll leave it at that.

We love her. Here's some pictures from this weekend:

Emma Doesn't Perform...

Emma was awesome today! She wouldn't exactly perform for the camera, but it was fun anyway. So we were at McCowin Park just hanging out. Logan and my good friend Jon, were playing disc golf (frisbee golf) and I was just hanging out with Emma. So just for fun I started jingling the keys in front of her, at first she just looked at them, and then she just started laughing SOOO hard!! And I stop jingling and she'd stop laughing, and then I'd start again and she'd bust up again! It was SOOOOOOOOO awesome! So I had to yell at Logan and he had to come watch! It was so funny. So we got home and I tried to get it on camera, but she wouldn't laugh at the keys, but she did laugh once at Logan. She did that same laugh over and over again at the park with the keys, hope you enjoy!

A Lot Has Happened

Just an update on our life... it's been a while.
Logan doesn't really have a job yet, we've been waiting and waiting for his extern license to come in the mail so he can officially start getting hours in for pharmacy school. He has to get 200 hours done the first year (hopefully we get them done this summer... so he doesn't have to worry about it during school). ISU hasn't been very quick about getting this done so he can get started... it's frustrating.
Logan had to get his picture taken for his pharmacy license. It had to be a 3 by 3 passport-type photo. Anyway, so he went to Wal-Mart to get it done. Cost $10 and the lady gave him a 2 by 2 and it had pen marks all over it from where she marked where she needed to cut!!! It looked terrible and Logan was mad. So then he was trying to find somewhere else to get it done and ended up searching for some place that had gone out of business like 10 years ago!! So finally he went to Sears and the lady there actually listened to him and took a beautiful picture and he finally got to turn it in (with no random pen marks! yay!) Anyways, it was a huge hassle for a stupid picture...
My Grandma (my mom's mom) passed away on May 8th. It was a surprise... but she was ready to go. My Aunt found her kneeling at her bedside, it appears that she passed away while praying. Really... I think that would be the way to go. Either that or in the temple :) She will be missed, but I know she's very happy to be with my Grandpa again (he died about 9 years ago) and to be with her oldest daughter (she passed away when I was about 5). My Grandma was 88 years old and lived a good life. I remember playing at her house as a kid... they had the coolest toys. Not sure why they were so cool... an old toy pistol, a side satchel, a wooden box/chest, lots of monopoly money, a few OLD barbies, and a bellow for the fireplace. We used to fight over those toys like crazy!! They also had a HUGE tree in the backyard with a tire swing and a frisbee swing on them. Those were very coveted also. Good times!
*Daddy playing on the computer while Emma watches him... completely fascinated.*

*3-6 month clothes! She's getting SOOOO big! May 24th will be her 3 month b-day!*

*This is Emma's poop outfit. Everytime I put her in it her diaper has a blowout and she poops all over her outfit. So I put it on her yesterday and it was a little tight so I figured it was probably the LAST time she would wear it; next time I tried it, it would be too small. Anyway, then my mom and I went grocery shopping and left Emma with Logan. When we came home the first thing he said was "YOU ARE NEVER LEAVING ME ALONE AGAIN!" She had pooped ALL OVER her poop outfit! He showed me the diaper... almost nothing in it, but she got the poop everywhere else, including Logan's shorts! Let's just say she let the poop outfit go out with a BANG!*

*Daddy dancing with Emma. She loves dancing with him.*

*Not sure how I caught this on camera... but it's classic!*

*Big yawn! So recently Emma's decided waking up from naps is NO GOOD. She cries the saddest little cry for a little while and then either wakes up completely or goes back to sleep. But she doesn't mind waking up in the morning! She ALWAYS sleeps at least 5 hours and sometimes up to 9. It's been an amazing blessing for me. During the day she always eats between 2 and 3 hours (usually 2) and I guess it's a good thing cuz it holds her over when she sleeps all night!!*

*While in Kaysville for my Grandma's funeral we went for a walk. This is my old house in Kaysville. I lived there until I was about 5.*

*We LOVE this thing! Emma loves to go for walks in it, and actually falls asleep in it often :)*

*Naptime! (Dad was sitting in the massage chair!)*

*What?*

*This is my cousin Riley... he LOVES Emma! He played with her ALL the time!*

*Comparing sizes! Emma-2 and 1/2 months old! Riley- 5 and 1/2 years old!*

*So cool!*

Update on Emma

Little Emma turned 2 months old on April 24th! She had her 2 month appointment a few days later. She got a bunch of shots... hated those, she screamed and screamed, and then slept a lot the next few days.
Height: 24 and 1/2 inches (97th percentile... she's REALLY long!!)
Weight: 11 lb 13 oz

*Her leg are getting strong! She kicked until the velcro came loose and the bottom half of her swaddle me came off! I guess she just wasn't ready for bed yet!*

*My favorite picture so far!*

*Aunt Andrea got her a bouncer... and she LOVES it! She sleeps really well in it for naptimes, and it keeps her preoccupied during dinner time for me!*

*Love this face. She actually likes sitting up with our help now! It's so cute!*
*Video of Dad and Emma. She only half smiles... but most of the time when he sings to her, she smiles and giggles! I just got the camera too late this time!*
