*Yesterday we tried out Emma's kiddie pool for the first time. I let the water warm up and it was really nice when we climbed in and she LOVED it! She kicked and splashed and just stared constantly at the bottom of the pool. It was a lot of fun :) *

4 months old!
Today is Emma's 4 month Birthday! :)
She is getting so big, it's unbelievable!
Here's her measurement's from
her appointment:
Head: 41 cm (50th percentile!)
Height: 26 inches (96th percentile!)
Weight: 14 lb 10 oz (75th percentile!)
She's just growing like CRAZY! The doctor says she's doing well and she's a big girl! :)
She's almost rolling over, she rolls onto her side and then hangs out a lot and grabs at her toes.
We love our little chunk :) and yesterday she reminded us that she loves us too:
And then again. Last night. When she woke up at midnight to celebrate her 4 month b-day until almost 5 this morning. It was no fun. We're okay with celebrating after a good night sleep.

Sneaky Father's Day!
Well today was Logan's first Father's day and Emma and I sure tricked him!! I promised I wouldn't spend more than what he spent on me for Mother's day, which was about $20, so I carefully went shopping! I found a really nice red/black tie for $2 and then a computer for his new bike (one that measures distance and tells you how fast you go) for around $15. So here's what happened:
We got up and I gave Logan his present... a tie! So he could wear it to church. It's a super nice tie so he thought that was all the money we spent. So he put it on and we went to church. We were being sneaky.... so after church my dad opened his presents (his first father's day as a Grandpa!) and then SURPISE! I pulled out another present for Logan! He was SOOOOOO surprised and he loved it! He took it out and got it hooked it up pretty much right away! And then for dinner we cooked shrimp and lobster, which Logan just loved :) So I think he had a pretty good first father's day!

Crazy Weather and Garage Sale Surprises!
*It's been raining almost every day the last 3 weeks! I love the rain... but I'm definitely not used to this much of it! The following pictures (and video) were from a freak storm where it POURED and hailed for a long time! It was crazy for Idaho!!*
*We went garage/yard sale-ing! We spent a total of $2.75 and this is what we got: *
(Logan's favorite toy in nursery... he spun the kids on it ALL the time- 50 cents)
(Blocks! 50 cents!)
(Baby Floaty- 50 cents!)
(The stacker toy-$1, and the music screen thing-25 cents!)
*And here's Logan! He just bought Halo for the XBOX that he just got. He's loving it :) *
*We bought Emma a swimming pool... but it's been too cold... so this is all we've done with it... she laid in it and almost rolled over!! She keeps moving over on her side!! So we're watching her closely for her first roll-over!*
*And here's Little Red Riding Hood! Thought she looked adorable in this jacket. Her new thing is to giggle whenever we bark at her. It's soooo funny! We can meow, moo, oink, quack... or whatever, but it's no good unless we bark!! She just smiles and smiles and giggles when we do :) *

Warning: May Contain Girl Information That You Don't Want To Hear
Ok, the name should have warned you. I went to the doctor today. I haven't been feeling right the last couple of months after having Emma, so I wanted to know if what I was feeling was normal or not. So Logan, Emma, and I all packed up and went to Rexburg to visit my doctors.

Sidenote: I went to Madison Women's Clinic with doctor's Barton and Allred and REALLY liked them. I don't know how some of you feel about them, but I really liked them and would definately have more kids there if I wasn't moving to Poky in August. Anyways, we went to the new doctor at their practice, Dr. Evan's and he was awesome to. So I just was recommending them as great OB/GYN doctors.
Back on track... so we got to the doctors. Sat there for 15 or 20 minutes and they called my name so I went back only to find they wanted a different Jenny. So we went back out to wait some more. By the time (one and one half hours later) we finally got back to a room Emma was really tired and really hungry. They told me Dr. Evan's was delivering a baby but that he would be back in a little bit so I could nurse Emma and get her calmed down. So I nursed her and she fell asleep. The nurse's all felt so bad that we had to wait so long that they gave us coupons for free Large Ice Cream Sundaes at Dairy Queen (we were really ok with that :) . So finally Dr. Evan's came and checked me out. He found out what's wrong, (here's the part you may not want to hear... but don't worry it's not too specific): I had tissue growth around where I had healed from giving birth to Emma and it was causing me a lot of pain, so he got silver nitrate and removed it. And now I go back next week for a check-up and hopefully, it's all healed and taken care of, it not we'll have to do some more, but hopefully.... all done.
Anyways, so then we went to Dairy Queen and got our free Sundaes (which were delicious) and visited with a couple of friends. We got to see Devin and Andrea's baby girl, McKenna and we got to see Scott and Karissa's baby boy, Jacob. So cute! We hadn't seen the babies since they were a couple of weeks old, so it was fun to see how much they've grown (they are both about 6 months old) and it was fun to see what Emma will be up to in a couple of months!!

Lip Smacker
*Here is our little lip smacker. She's just started this in the last couple of days. Just discovered her tongue or something! It's cute :) *
*Mike was making her giggle really good... until I got the camera out. But it was still cute. We call this the ANGRY giggle. She's mad and laughing at the same time.*

*We LOVE playing around outside!*
*She has a REALLY dry scalp that I am constantly trying to take care of... so I put baby oil in it and let it sit for a while and comb it a bunch. This was one beautiful style ;) *

Update Mania!
So, first story of the day... Emma stares at the lights when they are not even turned on! We'll leave her laying in the middle of the floor by herself and suddenly we hear her just giggling her head off and we come in and she's just smiling and cooing and laughing at the light that's not turned on... so the mystery is... was there really somebody there? Like a great-grandparent or friend from Heaven come to visit? I really wonder... anyways, just a thought to chew on.
*Logan and Blake. And Logan is doing one of his favorite things. Making a four-year-plan... for Blake. He can't make one for himself anymore because it's decided for him what he'll take... so he has to do it for other people.... cuz he REALLY enjoys it. He's done it for a lot of his friends. But it was fun for us to have Blake over for a few hours today.*
*So just this last week Emma has started grabbing things. It's SOOOO fun to watch! And it's amazing how it just happened overnight. So we bought her some rings to grab at, she likes them but they also frustrate her after playing with them for a while :) We also bought her a walker for pretty cheap! She can't really walk in it yet (her feet don't yet touch the floor) but she likes to be upright so she doesn't mind being in it for a while. We also bought her a mobile at a garage sale for a couple of bucks. It's been fun to find deals :) Also, our good friends the Johanson's sold us their old high chair for 25... cents! We love it :)*
*Frisbee golf! Logan and our good friend, Jon Clark, go a lot. They really enjoy it and I usually hang out with Emma (cuz I'm no good at Frisbee golf...). This is the new little place they have set up at McCowin Park, it's really nice!
*Emma on the day I found out she was starting to grab stuff. She grabbed her little caterpillar friend on the way to the park and then it was the blanket :)*
*And TADA!!! It's my new haircut! I haven't had it this short since I was like 5 (and in the pic it was my first time styling it... so it doesn't look the best, but it looks okay).*
*In this picture and the next this was Dad putting Emma to bed. She was wide awake and had about 20 blankets (ok... like 8) blankets piled on her.... I was like... uhhhh I don't think that's going to work... it didn't... but that's ok. Actually right this very minute Logan is working on putting her to sleep. I've been trying to teach him how, but he likes to play with her too much :)*
*Can you see that bruise? It got even worse at one point! On memorial day we played soccer with our good friends the Pages, and Logan got kicked with somebody's knee! It hurt him quite a bit... and at first it was swollen almost to a golf ball size and we were afraid it was broken or something... but it's okay now! Along with the exercising thought, we'll bring up Logan's new hobby: biking! He LOVES it. Him and my dad go biking up the hills behind Ammon/Idaho Falls almost every day. It's great exercise for them and they love it. He's been looking at getting himself a really nice roadbike. He loves roadbikes because they go FAST. Anyways, he and my dad have been going on 20 mile bike rides... UP and DOWN hills! I could never do what they've been doing! Hard work! So last week... on Friday they headed out with my brother-in-law Eric, and got all the way up to the Dump, and it started hailing and the wind was blowing with gusts up to 50 mph! They said that they were dodging huge things of flying sagebrush and said it was pretty scary! So my mom and I got worried and packed Emma into the car and went to rescue them! Good thing we did too, cuz they called us a few minutes later and were begging us to come get them! :) It was freezing, and I think all of the stress got Emma all worked up and she screamed the WHOLE way home! Anyways, in spite of that, they still love to bike and plan to go on many more bike rides.*
