Big Girl!

Sorry! I'm no artist! I don't know how to fix them up to look nice... and so I just took them, but they are okay anyway. Hope you enjoy.

Camping!

We had our ward campout last weekend and we decided to be brave and stay the night!
Emma was actually REALLY good. She woke up a couple of times like usual and ate and went right back to sleep. Now me on the other hand... I was awake most of the night with terrible allergies! But it was fun anyway! We have an awesome ward with lots of really fun people!

*We slept in a 2-3 man tent... and the only way it would EVER fit three people is if one of them was a baby :) *

6 months!

Emma's six month check up!
She got LOTS of shots, and ended up running a slight fever, but she's doing better now.

Her stats:
Height: 27.25 inches (still the 97th percentile)
Weight: 17 lb 4 oz (still in the 75th percentile)
Head: 42.5 cm (still in the 50th percentile)

So the doctor said she owns those growth curves :)
She's adorable and we love her. Though... I wish she wouldn't grow so fast!

BBQ Chicken & Rice Tostadas

BBQ Chicken & Rice Tostadas

So... I don't usually post about food... actually I never have.
But I just made this for dinner and it was quick, easy, and SO good.
4 small flour tortillas (6 inch)
1 cup water
1 cup instant white rice, uncooked
1 cup chopped cooked chicken
1 can (11 oz.) corn, drained
1/2 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Optional (I've never made it without this... so it might not be good without it): crushed red pepper and dried onions

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Spray both sides of tortillas with cooking spray; place in single layer on baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until crisp and lightly browned.

MEANWHILE, bring water to boil in large saucepan. Stir in rice; cover. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in chicken, corn and barbecue sauce. Return to medium heat; cook and stir 5 minutes or until heated through. While it was cooking I also added some crushed red peppers and dried onions to taste (depending on how much you like onions and spice).

SPOON evenly onto tortillas; sprinkle with cheese.

Bed Time and a Visitor

The last week we've been training Emma to put herself to sleep at night. She screams herself to sleep some nights for 30 minutes... and some nights for 15 minutes... and others she falls right to sleep after a few moments of whimpering. I think she's learning... but it's been pretty rough on me. Since moving to Pocatello she's also moved into her own room, into her crib. I cried myself to sleep the first night she was in her own room! So tough! But it's been good to have her in her own room.

Eric (Logan's brother) also came to visit for a few days! It was fun to have a visitor in our new home and we had lots of fun playing Wii and going bowling. He also had a lot of fun playing with Emma! She loved him being around to play with her when both Logan and I were busy.

*I didn't realize she was so big until I saw this picture.*

*Loves her toy. For only about 15 minutes at a time.*

About the Wii... Logan got a brand new computer and the deal for the computer came with a free Wii... so we randomly have a Wii now... WAY FUN!

My CRAFTY-NESS!

Crib sets are expensive! And I wanted to find one that I could possibly use for a girl OR a boy for future children :) and Logan and I couldn't find one we both liked, so I made one! My mom is an excellent seamstress so she helped me out in making it. It was a lot of fun to make something special like this for Emma.

*Quilt*

*The mobile (didn't make that), bumper pad, sheet*

*Dust ruffle*

*Bumper pad, sheet, dust ruffle*

Emma's Teeth

On July 23, 2009 Emma got her first tooth! I was really excited, but it also meant she'd been really grouchy and was continuing to be grouchy. She got her second tooth on August 2, 2009. Both teeth are right in front on the bottom. It's been fun to see her tooth and it's also been REALLY rough. She's been pretty miserable and her sleeping habits have gotten terrible. She now wakes up at least 3 times a night to eat and moan a bit. She's really good about going right back to sleep, but whew! I hate not getting the hours in a row :)

3-year-anniversary!

Yesterday (August 11, 2009) was Logan and I's 3 year anniversary! We've had a great three years and we just love each other more every day.
In the past three years we've graduated from BYU-Idaho (me in math education and Logan in business management with an emphasis in biology/chemistry) and now we are at ISU and Logan is starting Pharmacy school. Sometimes its been a rough road but its always been worth it! We also had our little Emma join our family on February 24, 2009. She's the best and we're loving having her in our little home.
So for our anniversary Logan went to the library and worked on an online class he has to have done by the end of the week! Haha! But then he came home and we went to dinner at Chile's, it was yummy and Emma was super good while we ate! (Side note: Logan just bought a new computer and a free Wii came with it.) And then we went home and played Wii for a couple hours and watched a movie. Amazingly Emma went to bed so we could spend some time together :) Anyways, it's been a great three years and we're excited for the rest of eternity!

Sitting, Rolling Over, and Rice Cereal

Emma can sit pretty good now!

She can also roll over. (Don't have pics or videos of her doing that... she's too shy :)

We love her to death and are so proud of her. It's very fun to watch her grow! It's been really hard though to see her grow SO FAST. I miss my little infant :) but I love what she's becoming!

We also fed her some rice cereal for the first time--she liked it!

My Birthday!

I turned 22 on August 2nd! We didn't really celebrate on my birthday because it was a Sunday... and the day after we moved! So we went to Olive Garden on July 31st. It was REALLY yummy :) My family got me a bunch of clothes and some movies! Logan got me Sleeping Beauty (my favorite disney movie EVER!) It was a good birthday and I'm grateful for all of the people that love me and celebrated with me!

MOVED!

We moved! We finally made it to Pocatello, ID. Logan starts Pharmacy school at ISU on Aug 24th. We are very excited. We moved here on August 1st, we appreciate all of the help that we had from friends and family. Here are some pictures from our move and some pictures of our new apartment. Sorry we haven't been able to get all moved in yet, Emma's struggled a lot with the move. We enjoyed our first Sunday, except that Emma got her second tooth that day so we only made it through 2 hours of church before we ended up at home. But our apartment seems really nice and we love it so far.
Logan's also finished his 200 pharmacy hours for this year. YAY! We are very excited that he's got it done. Now he just has to finish his online class :) And then take a short break before school starts! Emma and I are proud of him!
