Cute Pictures

Baby-sitting Boys!

*Pictures taken while baby-sitting a friend of mine's kids.*

The Pinky Cast

*The hand before the cast was put on it. Yup that pinky finger is broken, can't really tell can ya?*

*The cast! Doesn't it look great? I know, huge cast for a little pink finger. They chose not to do surgery so they had to put a massive cast on to MAKE sure it holds together and heals right.*

*Logan with his cast. It takes a lot of effort to shave with his right hand, since he's left handed... so it doesn't happen very often :) *

We have another appointment on Thursday and that should be the last time they consider surgery. Hopefully it goes well!!

Finger Update

Yesterday we went to the doctor to get Logan's finger checked out. Basically they decided that it looked good enough to NOT put a pin in it and they put a hard cast on it. We go back in a week to get it checked out again and make sure it's doing okay (the possibility of surgery to put a pin in is still there, just a lot less likely). (I will eventually get a picture of the cast... but Logan hasn't been around cuz he's had a HUGE test to study for... but we will catch him sometime!!!)

Also the night before the appointment Emma was up half of the night being super grouchy with a fever of at least 101ºF. I was super confused because she was still on antibiotics for her ear infection. Anyways, while at the doctors we found a new tooth! So that's what the problem was and she's been doing better :)

Valentine's Day

Logan had an Elder's Quorum activity where they made things for their wives. His card for me says "Jenny, I'll share my fries with you!! I love you! Happy Valentines Day!" Super cute :) You have to know that my favorite food in the world is french fries, so it was perfect for me! He told me that every one of those fries (they are made of sandpaper in case you were wondering :) is a large fry from Burger King whenever I want them. Woohoo! Also, notice the beautiful heart flowers made of wire and duct tape that Logan made for me :)

*The awesome meal I prepared for Logan and I. We ate after Emma went to bed so we could have a quiet, peaceful meal together! I made Ginger-Seared Salmon. SO YUMMY. And I also made Logan some shrimp (in my opinion... yuck! but he enjoyed it)

It was our first Valentine's Day with Emma around :) I love my family!
Logan is the absolute perfect match for me and I love him so much!

Logan's Pinky

I don't have any pictures yet...

but Logan broke his finger playing dodgeball on Wednesday night.
He ran up to grab a ball on the mid-line and the other guy decided to slide and kick the ball and kicked Logan's hand instead. He broke his pinky finger. It has 3 fractures in the bone between his hand and knuckle. Two vertical ones and one horizontal one. The horizontal one worried the doctor we went to, he thinks it might need a pin in it to hold it in place while it heals. This coming Tuesday we have an appointment with a hand specialist. We'll see what happens.

Eating and Sleeping Update

I love that Emma will sleep through the night now! When we were in Washington she wouldn't sleep longer than a couple of hours before wanting me to get up and comfort her. Well when we got home, I was DONE with that. The surprising thing is... so was she. She didn't cry at all, just starting sleeping through the night! I LOVE it. The only time she hasn't is when she got her ear infection last week--that was a sad time, but thank goodness for antibiotics that quickly got her feeling better!
Also she's been doing GREAT with naps! Since her ear infection hasn't been bothering her anymore she's suddenly decided it's okay to nap and she'll curl up and go to sleep around noon when she's tired and then sleep for 2 hours... I LOVE IT. This is the first time she hasn't fought me since she was born. It's a relief.

*Climbing on Daddy's surround sound stuff. He still doesn't know about that... oh now he probably does...*
*Neighbor kids I babysit occasionally. They wanted a picture of them with their "hats" on.*
Emma also suddenly decided about a week ago that she was done letting me spoon feed her anything. So we've gotten creative with a bunch of different foods that she can feed herself and not choke on. She's been loving it. And I love that I can eat at the same time as her... only problem is, she isn't super efficient! So it can take her about an hour to eat a meal.

*EATING!*

I can walk! With my walking toy...

Stacking Blocks

Emma is a genius!
We love to stack blocks so she can knock them down...
and the other day she started stacking them herself!
I was so proud!
