Spring Break!

Well we absolutely LOVED spring break. It was great to have some time to spend together. Here's what we did:

Saturday:
I went to the Temple and then Logan, Emma and I hung out in Idaho Falls at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Logan went biking, he was pretty excited to be able to get back out on his bike. I also got to pick up the pictures that we had done for Emma's first birthday--they are adorable! And then we visited some friends of ours that live in IF and had dinner with them! (We also rented New Moon... which we weren't able to watch until Sunday, it was all right. I have to admit... reading the books I was always and Edward fan... but watching the movies, I really don't like Robert Patterson... Jacob is way cooler.)

Sunday:
Logan had to teach Elder's Quorum so I took Emma to Relief Society... I haven't done that for a long time :) but it was fun. Then we had some neighbors over for dinner, we had TACOS... Logan's tacos are some of the best food ever.

Monday:
We went to Rexburg to visit some friends that are graduating this semester and are heading far away... We also were able to walk around campus for a little bit... I miss it! We also ate at Original Thai--YUM!

Tuesday:
We ran errands... found Emma a cool table and stools at DI for $10!! It's really nice and I'm super excited about it.

Wednesday:
We headed to Idaho Falls and had dinner at my parents, the missionaries were over, that was kinda fun. Then we played some Mah Jong-- LOVE that game. Then we put Emma to bed at my parents and Logan and I went to the 10pm show of "Alice in Wonderland". The special effects were cool, and watching it in 3D was awesome... but I've never liked the story, a little too weird for me.

Thursday:
We went shopping and got some really good deals on clothes for Emma... I love them! Then Logan went biking and we went to Sizzler for dinner.

Friday:
Logan and I got up super early and went to the temple while my parents watched Emma. So grateful we were able to go! We went and ate at Thai House in IF and visited with Samong and Aubrey and their new baby, Sawyer, SO CUTE! I got to hold him; I miss having a baby! And then it snowed and the weather was awful... and we drove home in the crappy weather.

Saturday:
My parents came down and Logan and my dad went on a bike ride up to Mink Creek--about a 25 mile ride. We also had a little outdoor BBQ with our neighbors... yes the weather was nice enough even after the snow on Friday!! Gotta love Idaho :) And we spent the rest of the day searching.... last Saturday we lost an important envelope with cash and checks in it. It was a lot of money and we were really worried. We kept an eye out all week for it...but this Saturday really pulled the apartment apart trying to find it. And then we also realized that Logan's bike computer was missing. That night I prayed and then found the envelope, safe and sound :)

Sunday:
We paid our tithing, knowing that our intent to pay it today helped us find our envelope yesterday. I am so grateful for tithing and the blessings that come from paying it. We also found Logan's bike computer today. It was a good week, stressful too... but in the end it all turned out perfect.

Eggs

Over the last 4 weeks I've been having a lot of stomach aches (making a lot of people believe I am pregnant--I am NOT pregnant).
I had an epiphany the other day while having a stomach ache.
The last 4 weeks we've been trying to eat healthier for Logan's diet, and I realized that I'd been eating 3 or 4 omelets a week for breakfast and that I had one that morning. And it made me wonder if that was the problem.
And then I thought back... to the first time I really remembered having the stomach aches that bad, my senior year of high school, at a robotics competition... I had eaten eggs (a lot of them) at Denny's that morning and ended up pretty sick for a couple of days!
And then I thought about how at home my mom used to cook hashed browns and eggs every Saturday morning for breakfast... and I used to feel sick afterwards. I used to think it was maybe the grease from the hashed browns? but... after putting all of the other pieces together I think it was the eggs.
So! We're putting it to the test, I'm not going to eat eggs again for a couple of weeks and if there aren't any stomach aches, then... we'll give it another try and I'll eat some eggs. And if I end up sick... we have our answer! I actually... really hope that's what it is because it would be great to be able to prevent the stomach aches. And... I've never been a HUGE egg fan so it really wouldn't hurt my feelings very much :)
Anyways, we'll update you again in a few weeks!!

One Amazing Man

LOGAN!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to brag about my amazing husband.

First of all, after stressing like crazy, Logan got his cast off! He does not and will not need surgery! YAY!

Next, he's been telling me for a while that he wanted to lose some weight and I have to admit I wasn't all that enthused... but he went and joined Weight Watchers about 4 weeks ago.
He's been watching what he eats and exercising AMAZING self control and I'm so proud of him.
In the last 4 weeks he lost about 16 lbs!

Third, Logan got put on the Dean's List, which is made up of the top fifteen percent of the full-time pre-pharmacy and professional pharmacy students!!!
I think this is totally awesome and I'm super proud of him!

1 Year Old Stats!

So I know I posted about Emma's birthday already but I didn't post the stats from her 1 year appointment, so here they are:

Height: 30 in (80th percentile)
Weight: 20 lbs 12 oz (50th percentile)
Head: 45 and 1/2 cm (50th percentile)

So she's slowing down a little bit :)
She's also starting to stand on her own, but she's being pretty stubborn about not walking... but we'll get there :)

My Cousin Ashley's Wedding

*On the drive to Utah. Uncle Mike entertained her most of the way, and then she slept for the rest.*

*Walking out of the temple after the sealing ceremony. When we went into the temple it was a GORGEOUS day... and then when we came out it got windy and rainy! Cold!*

*Beautiful bride*

*It was windy! When she got to the reception place her hair was flat because of all the rain and she had to re-curl it!*
*Grandpa and Emma playing. It was cold!*

*This picture was taken for my brother Mike and all his friends. They like to kill zombies in the Call of Duty game. The back of this vehicle says "Zombie Smasher". Mike said he would never be pathetic enough to put that on his car.*
*Watching somebody play the piano.*
*Not sure about that Uncle Tom! (he's my uncle... I'm not sure what that makes him for Emma)*
*Mike and his signature move*
*Mike... getting what he deserves ;) *
*Grandpa held Emma's finger and let her run around the whole day. She loved it.*
*The Bride again*
*Doing the stairs. Over and over again. I'm sure Grandpa slept great that night!*
*Ignore the red-eye... what a pretty dress!*

*Dancing with Grandpa*

*Gotta love the post-ponytail hair!*

My Mom Likes To Take Pictures Of Me Eating...

Happy 1st Birthday Emma!

For Emma's birthday Logan and I blew up 195 balloons! I ended up with a popped blister on my finger from tying them... but it was worth it! SHE LOVED IT!

*Her birthday cake from Albertsons... after they showed it to me then closed the lid and that smashed the cake topper down and ruined the frosting... I was annoyed, but we just ate it anyway, so it was okay.*

*The free cake that I got from Albertsons*
*Singing happy birthday!*
*Letting her go!*
*She liked it for a little bit... but then she showed just how much she's related to her mom and freaked out cuz her hands were dirty and she couldn't clean them... but she kept eating more cake and getting mad and enjoying the cake at the same time. Pretty cute and humorous :) *
