I was Tagged :)

So yesterday I was a super grouch face and wallowing in my own self-pity. Then I had a good chat with Logan and had a good cry and things were much better :) Anyway, today I had a friend tag me in this little activity, and it made me happy. Mostly because when she tagged me she explained that I needed some time to think about me because I was busy being a mom, a wife to a student, and the RS pres and really I guess it just mostly felt good to know that other people understand and recognize my struggles. Not in a selfish way, just a little relief to know that people care :) So thanks Luanne.

Anyway, so here's the thing, she answered 8 questions that someone had sent her and then made up 8 new questions and asked them to us. So here are the questions she asked:

1. What is your favorite part about you?
I really don't know what my "favorite" part is... but I've always liked that I'm a good reader.

2. If you could vacation any where, where would you go?
Right now I really want to go to Disneyland with my family... I think it will be so much more fun now with a kid of my own (though I probably better wait a couple more years so she'll really care)

3. What does the best meal ever involve?
Some form of potatoes. I LOVE potatoes. In almost any form.

4. Name your favorite sweet.
Reeses

5. Up to now what is your greatest accomplishment?
Definitely getting married to the best father/husband ever and starting an amazing family.

6. What would be your best day ever?
Something spent with my family, picnicing, or swimming, or going to the zoo. Something like that.

7. Favorite season and why?
Fall, it's the perfect temperature and I always love the feeling of a cool, crisp fall morning.

8. What is the best book you've ever read?
Everyone would expect me to say Harry Potter and they are seriously some of my favorite books ever. But I really enjoyed Pride and Prejudice. One of my favorites ever.

So now for my 8 questions that I want answered by those I tag:
1. What is your worst fear?
2. What one object (not person) makes you the happiest?
3. What is your LEAST favorite food?
4. If you could be famous for something, what would you want it to be?
5. What is your favorite fairy tale/bedtime story?
6. If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
7. What's your favorite car?
8. What is the most random hobby you have?

And here are the 8 people I'm tagging:
1. Lisa Argyle
2. Stephanie Pruitt
3. Kira Cannon
4. Lali Johnson
5. Breanna Mecham
6. Nicole Allen
7. Pauline Vail
8. Brandon/Diedre Sloan (whoever blogs first... or both)

So go to it!

Just Pictures

*Emma has just recently discovered that she can climb all over the jungle gym and go down the slides all by herself... it's a relief for me, it's hard to follow her around on it while pregnant!*

*I just have to show off her cute ponytail!*

*She LOVES to ride the scooter around. She actually keeps one foot on and one foot off and scoots around! I'm impressed with her abilities!*

*Sleeping in her toddler bed. She falls asleep at all sorts of weird angles... but once I tuck her in when she's asleep she stays pretty close to where I put her. You can sort of see the pink princess comforter... I wanted to buy one SO bad, but there were anywhere from $35-$45 and I could NOT justify that :) Anyway, I found one at Ross for $15, I was SO excited, so I bought it! :) *

*Sporting Grandma's purse, feeling like a lady!*

Baby Name

So our name for the new baby right now is:
Abigail Ginny
I really like the name Abby, and Logan like's Abigail... so it worked :)
And Ginny... well isn't it obvious where that came from?
I guess we decided to stick to the theme?
:)
Who knows... maybe she'll have red hair!?!?

A Little Overwhelmed and A Lot Comforted

It's been a crazy last couple of weeks.
I got a new calling and because I knew it would start to take up a lot of my time soon,
I went on this HUGE nesting kick and cleaned my house and got a lot done.
It feels really good to be so productive.
But I think I overdid it... cuz now I'm exhuasted :)
Anyway, last Sunday I got called to be the RS President in my ward. That's a big calling.
I felt...
overwhelmed?
young?
inexperienced?
A little of everything?
But I went to the temple and spent a lot of time pondering and preparing and it's amazing...
what the Lord can do to help us see that we can do whatever He calls us to do.
We just have to put our trust in Him, and somehow, we can do it.
I know He wants me to be doing this right now, and however scared and nervous I feel, I know He'll be there to help and guide me.
And I am ever so grateful for that.

Garage Sales

I went out in search of deals at garages sales with my friend Laura and these were my finds!

This dress for $2

The books for 25 cents each, and the Living Scripture Music Videos for 50 cents each... which we were SUPER excited about!

The shoes on the left for $1 and the shoes on the right for 25 cents!

The books for 50 cents each and the keyboard for $3!

I love finding good deals :)

Mah Jong!

I have the best husband ever. Mah Jong is my favorite gave of all time. My grandma had a tile version that we used to play and my mom had a card game version so I played whenever I could... but my amazing husband decided to sell one of his old textbooks so that he had enough money to buy me this absolutely GORGEOUS Mah Jong tile set. I love it and when I get started I could play it all night long... the problem is finding people who will play that long with me :)

Emma at 18 months!

My little baby is no longer a baby. She's a little toddler! We've had a lot of fun teaching her new things and watching her grow. She's super smart and learns quick. She is also the happiest kid I know! She is constantly laughing, at who knows what (probably me and I don't realize it...)!

I've also tried to get her to understand... even maybe a little bit, that she's going to have a baby sister soon. When I ask her where baby sister is she comes over and pats my belly... so she gets WHERE it is... just probably not WHAT yet. She also LOVES babies. I bought her one from the dollar store a while ago and she loves to hold and cuddle it... and of course throw it across the room when she's mad. Obviously when baby sister comes (we've ALMOST settled on a name, right now it's Abigail Ginny-yes... Ginny from Harry Potter) we'll have to keep a close eye on her.

*We went to the Fair in Blackfoot. It was a lot of fun!*

We've also had a lot of fun with her hair recently. She has a lot of it, and it's pretty long, so I've been trying to be creative with it (even when she screams and runs away from me...)

*Ponytail*

*Pigtails*

She loves to be outside constantly and really wishes that she was big enough to ride a bike. No trikes for her, she wants a bike. She tries to climb on the neighbor kids bikes and ride them... that usually ends in tragedy though.

*Sitting like a little princess*

She knows where her nose, eyes, mouth, tongue, ears, and hair are. She's also obsessed with belly buttons. The other day I was reading her a Beauty and the Beast story and I said "Look there's Belle" and she lifted her shirt to show me her belly button. LOL. She was so proud of herself :)

*Pointing out my cousin Riley's belly button. We went to visit some of my family and Riley and Emma got along great!*

*Cool sunglasses... that she will only wear for about 10 seconds... if that*

She's also expanding her vocabulary pretty quickly. Here are some words she knows: eye, pretty, wow, doggie, puppy, daddy, mommy, baby, car, binky, bike, no, mine, book, Emma, shoes, Poppa (grandpa), diaper, bye bye, uh oh, cheese and a few more I can't think of right now.

*Legos with dad. She LOVES legos and is pretty good at sticking them together!*

She also loves dancing and singing. We signed her up for a music class that her and Logan will go to together, so that should be fun. Her favorite song is the Itsy-Bitsy Spider.
She's also got the "grab mommy's finger and drag her around wherever she wants to go" move down. At first it was cute... now I'm just tired of following her around all day doing nothing :) She's also gotten very interested in reading books, she brings them to me all of the time, she doesn't have a very long attention span, but it'll come.

*Messy hair!*

*The only time she's fallen asleep while eating... there were handfuls of cheetos in her hands, and she was REALLY mad when I pried them out of her hands to put her to bed!*

We read scriptures every day so she knows we read them and she brings them to me randomly throughout the day. She also knows who Jesus is. We have a picture hanging in our living room and whenever I ask where Jesus is, she looks around and then points to it. It always gives me warm fuzzies :)

*Emma's FIRST McDonald's kids meal. I know... what a special moment :) *

*Logan plays basketball with a bunch of people from the ward every Tuesday... here's Emma begging him to come hold her!*

We also decided to try out her toddler bed. We've only been going for a few days now, but it's going pretty good I think. I removed all of her toys and put the gate up in the doorway of her room so she can't get out. At night she usually falls asleep on her bed, but naptimes... she falls asleep all over the room. The first night she fell asleep on the rocking chair, and another time for nap time she fell asleep in the baby bouncer. It cracks me up, hopefully I can get some good pictures. But also hopefully, she'll learn soon that her bed is really the comfiest place to sleep. After I move her to her bed she always sleeps through the night and wakes up happy in the morning. She's pretty much completely adjusted now (about a week after the first part was written) and I am SO happy that it was a quick and easy transition.

*Cute hair... even if it only looks that nice for maybe 15 minutes*

We're alive!

I just wanted to say that we're still alive. I just haven't been able to blog because I have to upload pictures on Logan's computer, and he has to take it to school ALL the time, so yeah... we're trying to get to it! I have some super adorable pictures of Emma coming soon!
